Thought I'd say hi

I'm actually part of the November club as my original due date was 3rd November but was put back to 29th October on scans.

C section booked 22nd October so will be an October baby

GreenMeerkat · 22/08/2018 16:45

Oh and I'm having a boy

TinyTerror1 · 22/08/2018 17:00

40, first time mum in Birmingham, due 7th October but will be induced due to age, probably in the preceding week.

I'm still feeling relatively fit so walk most days - I need to to bring my sugar levels down as I have gestational diabetes - and have just started (hopefully regular) swimming today.

unicornchaser · 22/08/2018 17:05

29 FTM carrying a boy, Glasgow.

I'm still walking a fair amount daily, around 5km though mostly split into two walks with the dog now!

Wanted to start swimming this week too since I'm not working now but will need to wait till next week or the following thanks to an injury 😔

Oh and due 30th Oct

Flamingo19 · 22/08/2018 17:08

@unicornchaser I didnt realise you were due the day before me! I thought I was the only one of us here at the end!

pandasboo · 22/08/2018 17:12

Ooh can I join? Our little boy is due on 6th Oct and I can't wait!! SmileSmile

Flamingo19 · 22/08/2018 17:36

I’m feeling rather sad too! It has just occurred to me that soon I won’t be pregnant anymore, I have really enjoyed most of being pregnant (not the first 12 weeks) and love my bump and will feel so sad to not have my bump anymore moving and squirming

sparkling123 · 22/08/2018 17:40

Hey firsttimemum! I'm also ftm, 33, due on 18th October and expecting a girl :) haven't been on this thread since the new one but hope everyone is keeping well. I'm trying to walk 30 mins a day, I'm generally feeling ok but I am exhausted and sleeping so much I'm getting a little worried! 😂

unicornchaser · 22/08/2018 17:40

Haha not to worry @Flamingo19 you won't be alone in your (Im)patient wait once all the rest have had their little bundles. @RhiBee29, @RembeccaM and @yerp too all due around 28th/29th I think so a few of us to keep each other sane!

OP posts:
Yerp · 22/08/2018 18:05

I’m ftm too. 32 from north west. Due a girl on 28th October. Seems ages away yet, but I’m hopeful it will go quick!

And every meal I eat is ending up down my clothes too! Grin

Flamingo19 · 22/08/2018 18:27

It seems like we are all expecting girls! Yay

twobambinos · 22/08/2018 18:41

No I'm having a boy. Grin

unicornchaser · 22/08/2018 18:59

Boy here too! But I think we are a girl dominated group though!

twobambinos · 22/08/2018 19:08

There was so much activity on here today. I was having an unusually busy day Grin another one on the countdown to mat leave.

Tmi I really need to go to the toilet damn iron tablets.
I'm gone really slack with the exercise just don't have the energy or the will to do it. The only exercise I do now is walking around the shops. I just need to give myself a break now and I will get back to it once the baby arrives.

@flamingo19 I'm the opposite can't wait to not be pregnant any more. I've had more than enough vomiting, heartburn, spd, general aches of pregnancy over the last 3 pregnancies to last me a life time. But I am super excited to have a new baby in the family.

I'm starting to get nervous about the labour. Hopefully it will just happen and take me by surprise a little before due date because every day after that it really adds to the pressure and knowing its looming. Hmm

Welcome greenmeercat and 1983.

nervousFTM · 22/08/2018 20:16

Love these updates! Thanks ladies.

@Havetothink you really made me laugh with your water spilling comment 😂 same 🤦🏻‍♀️

@midnight1983 this is first pregnancy and I have an anterior placenta - probably why I've gone in for reduced movement a few times, though baby (not finding out sex) has been active this entire day (thank god)! I'm 31+3.

I've always been a fitness freak so it's been weird adjusting. Finally gave up barrys bootcamp classes (most intense thing ever) about a month ago and moved to a normal gym where I am doing body pump and lots of cross trainer/spin, although my temporary membership runs out this weekend and not sure I can physically manage another month.

Also been keeping up warm yoga throughout although a bit over that right now. Might actually move onto pregnancy Pilates and pregnancy yoga finally, rather than keep thinking I can do these things like non-pregnant people!

nervousFTM · 22/08/2018 20:18

Oh and I am really not loving the spider and varicose veins that seem to be appearing in places I really do NOT want to see them!!! Was wondering if I was making them worse with exercise but apparently that's one way to keep them at bay 😫 really hoping they go after my pregnancy, midwife hopefully said today "oh sometimes they go"... enjoy my battle wounds maybe!?

midnight1983 · 22/08/2018 20:50

havetothink and nervousftm the anterior placenta thing is so hard isn't it? With my first, I was in for reduced movements all the time. He was fine every time but I could only feel maybe 40% if what I can feel this time.

In fact, this time the movements are so intense sometimes I can feel sea sick! Also feels like my ribs are bruised...

Havetothink · 22/08/2018 21:15

Yep, some of the movements are painful and it does often churn my stomach. They never used to wake me up in the last pregnancy either.

MissKatyKat · 23/08/2018 18:44

Hi ladies,
Am I able to join? I'm 18 and I'll be 34 weeks pregnant tomorrow. Long story short this completely wasn't planned, I started my own thread on here last week to ask for advice and the response has been amazing. I've now decided against adoption and am planning to keep my baby and I told the dad last week and my parents last night (all of which is all over my thread). Anyway, someone on my thread sent me a link to this one for added support. I'm due on 5th October and feeling good and not really "pregnant" at the moment. Thanks for reading, I hope you're all doing okay in your own pregnancies.

2ndPGchimp · 23/08/2018 19:06

Of course, welcome @MissKatyKat. It sounds like you have been having a rollercoaster of a different kind, but glad you feel more like you have a plan now.

I am 39, stm, due with a second boy on 7 October. 4 more weeks of work feels like a long time when commuting into London!

MissKatyKat · 23/08/2018 19:12

Thank you @2ndPGchimp and oh my god you're so brave still doing that commute! Well done you! Not much longer to go now though.

unicornchaser · 23/08/2018 19:38

Hi @MissKatyKat, glad you found the support you needed to make that tough decision! I hope you are feeling a lot more relaxed about it all now and it's good you are feeling well physically, I know a few of us are starting to struggle a bit now so you will get plenty of support here when it does get a bit tough.

I am 29, first time Mum too, due on 30th October with a boy 💙

justtowarm · 23/08/2018 21:07

Hi welcome @MissKatyKat

I was following your other thread, I was pleased to see how much lovely support you were offered and that you have your families support :)

I have today discovered that lifting bin bags into the wheelie bin now makes me immobile for a few hours 😂🙈🙈🙈

I have been having lots of really strong movements though and am enjoying showing my family my whole tummy moving 🤰🏻😊

MissKatyKat · 23/08/2018 21:24

@justtowarm thank you so much xx
Haha I'll remember that about the bin bags! Aww that's lovely that you have an active one too, I swear mine is always moving, it feels so weird!
