Hello, I am now 9w+5. Got a panorama and a scan yesterday. Baby 25.6mm, heartbeat 175 bpm. Results from the test in 7-14 days, will also know the sex.

@Frenchgal amazing scan, so clear. Did you get that done in London? I am very interested in getting a NIPT test done at 10 weeks.

Can anyone tell me why your due date changes once you have the scan ? Is it because they can measure and get a more accurate date of actual conception ?

Wow @frenchgal that looks like a proper little baby! Crazy to think how quickly it goes from a bunch of cells to that!

@Newbie2703 as far as I know, yes. The dating and nuchal measurement are at their most accurate between 11.5 & 14+2 weeks. Having said that, my friend who had IVF was dated a week out at her scan after obviously knowing the exact date of implantation! So really the due dates are really just so they can put something in the system to go by imo. Don’t panic if it’s not exactly the date you expected.

@angelmiracle I’m so glad you did, you can feel very reasurred now that your levels are going the right way! I took a cheapie test today, all I have left, why is it so satisfying seeing those lines 🙈

I’m 5+6 today, midwife called me earlier, I have my booking app on Thursday and 12 week scan 12th of September. All starting to feel real!

@Jadeelx I know right?! That's a strong line for a cheapie!! I finished the cheapies last week and they were only half the darkness!

@Jadeelx Oh we're the same 5+6. That's great news! I wish they did our booking in earlier to have an appointment to lool forward to but I'm having both done 4th Sept! With DS they were 2 days apart but going to a different outpatient hospital this time.

@Jadeelx i did mine at the birth clinic on Harley street. Also had a 7 week scan done there - highly recommend them. For the NIPT, I did the panorama, you can do it from 9 weeks and it cost 500 pounds. You get results in 7-14 days. The early scan at 7 weeks was 99 pounds.

Well you have a full day to look forward to! I’m not that fussed for the booking app as it’s lots of questions and I’ll have my son with me so going to be interesting keeping an 8 month quiet lol hopefully he’ll be napping! X

@frenchgal is that the birth company? I used them for scans last pregnancy love them. Thanks for the info I’ll defo look into it!

Bean all present and correct at 8 weeks exactly. Heartbeat of 148. Measuring a couple of days short of LMP dates, but that makes sense as I have a 30-31 day cycle. Relieved - have started to tell family today.

@frenchgal - that's a fabulous scan picture. Puts my random blob to shame!

Great news @sarahandduckarehigh, what a relief. Feeling a bit disappointed they didn't tell me the baby's heart rate now!

I messaged DP's eldest brother and wife in the US yesterday to let them know. I'd meant to add a note saying it was early days and I'd leave it to their discretion when to tell their kids. Didn't get a chance, since they videocalled straight back with all the little ones bouncing about going crazy. It was adorable how excited they were but it suddenly made it quite real! dp's other brother plus wife are here now and it's a relief being able to relax with them and just chat about being pregnant. Right choice to tell them but I'm still not ready to share with the world.
