April 2019 Babies

LulaRose · 20/07/2018 11:16

Hello everyone! I thought I'd start a thread for babies due in April 2019 as I couldn't see an existing post for it.

I'm 29
I have a DS who is 12 months
Due 3 April with DC2

I'm only 3+2 so extremely early! I can't quite believe it but I got a line on a test at 8dpo, and the line is getting darker. I'm very excited, but also very nervous.

@Treaclepie19 really hoping it works out xx

Tootyfrooty35 · 01/08/2018 23:22

Aww treacle fingers crossed. Such a worrying time for you ❤️

I still haven't phone GP, I don't know why I'm waiting, I know all they'll do is book my booking in appointment but I think is till don't believe it! I hope the mw is the same as the one I had with my two year old. Or the one who attended his birth, he was born at home. I'd be happy to see them both again!

I'm considering a reassurance scan, not bothered before but found a groupon deal for £49 so tempted although we're going to it our house up for sale 😬 so trying to svr too!

Had sickness pangs today and dizziness also feeling like I want to tell a few more people. I remember with my seocnd that I felt very alone and especially when you feel poo you want people to know and help. Just me?

Tootyfrooty35 · 01/08/2018 23:25

Welcome to all newbies too ❤️

I'm 33, have 2dc, 3yo girl and 2yo boy 😍 due around 3rd April but my cycles have been short and my other two were born past 42 weeks so I'm guessing mid April 😂 This was our second month trying.

Roll call any one else?

pingoose · 02/08/2018 04:49

Hi all! Looks like I'm going to be joining you...got my BFP on Monday and am 5+3. Was a bit unexpected, but happy about it! Worried as I'm currently taking Carbamazepine which will increase the chance of issues, so I'm feeling a bit detached from it all.
I've already got a DD who is 2yo, this DC is due 2 weeks before her 3rd birthday :)

firsttimemomtobe · 02/08/2018 06:13

Thinking of you both @Treaclepie19 and @AwkwardAsAllGetout Thanks xx

DumbledoresSocks · 02/08/2018 07:06

@Tootyfrooty35 I think I remember you from a previous ttc thread! Congratulations!
I'm 29, this will be DC2, DC1 is three in November. 4 months of trying for this one, twice as long as last time!

I'm nervous that my line is still faint. Not sure when I ovulated but this is CD29. Is that ok?

SpadesOfGlory · 02/08/2018 09:38

@DumbledoresSocks when did you first test positive? I think hcg can rise more slowly sometimes but doesn't necessarily mean there's a problem. Could you get bloods done 48 hrs apart if you're worried?

SpadesOfGlory · 02/08/2018 09:39

I'm 5 weeks today and still don't feel pregnant....nearly wishing for morning sickness just to believe something is going on in there!

organised5 · 02/08/2018 10:33

Everyone talks about the two week wait but no one talks about the EIGHT WEEK WAIT after that... Aarrgghhh!

DumbledoresSocks · 02/08/2018 11:28

@SpadesOfGlory on Tuesday. I realise now that was only two days ago... it feels so much longer! I got a faint line and a negative on a digital. Faint lines yesterday and today. I won't feel sure until I get a positive on a digital but I'm too scared to try again!

SpadesOfGlory · 02/08/2018 11:59

It might just be too early still for a strong line or a positive digital as they need pretty high levels of hcg compared to the early sensitive tests. I got really faint lines on a Saturday night and Sunday morning but by Tuesday they were glaringly positive - maybe just wait 48 hours or so?

coops333 · 02/08/2018 12:38

I absolutely agree with you! Treacle we are heat to try and help snd support you, so sorry you are going through this ☹️

Treaclepie19 · 02/08/2018 13:15

Thank you all ❤
I'm just struggling. Today's been hard. I feel sick and have had some cramps. Looking after a grumpy almost 3 year old has not been fun. I just want to go to bed.

AislingIrish · 02/08/2018 14:24

@Treaclepie19 and @AwkwardAsAllGetout thinking of you both. Here to support as much as possible! xx

AwkwardAsAllGetout · 02/08/2018 15:58

It’s hard trying to carry on as normal isn’t it treacle Sad It feels odd just waiting to start bleeding, everything I’ve read seems to say it could take weeks. My boobs are now sad sacks of skin, they seem really awful, I’ve fed 3 children so I’m used to them deflating but they look terrible! I want to just curl up somewhere, having the dc home is so difficult atm.

Treaclepie19 · 02/08/2018 16:19

I'm sending you a big hug awkward
I really hope that we'll both get a happy surprise at the end of this.
I've just been and bought some tests so I'll try in the morning and if it's fainter I guess I'll know for sure.

It is so hard, have you got plenty of support?
My family just don't seem to get it. Thankfully my husband does.

AwkwardAsAllGetout · 02/08/2018 16:41

I haven’t really told anyone tbh. I’d found the pregnancy quite unbearably nerve wracking from the moment we found out because of what’s happened before, I don’t think I ever believed we’d be bringing a baby home at the end of it. Dhs work have been brilliant though, but they know our history and how serious our last mc was. Dh is crushed. He wanted to have our families over this weekend and tell them the good news.

Treaclepie19 · 02/08/2018 17:22

Oh lovely :(
I'm so sorry. I really hope things turn out better than expected.
People keep telling me how they've had bleeding and it's all been fine. It's hard to believe though isn't it?

Newbie2703 · 02/08/2018 17:27

Just booked my early reassurance scan to put my mind at ease ! Definitely cannot wait until 12 weeks.

AwkwardAsAllGetout · 02/08/2018 17:30

It is. The thing is, I had bleeding in my third pregnancy and it was fine. I know this is over though, as I said my chest has shrunk and I don’t feel at all bloated and I was really struggling with that last week. I just don’t feel pregnant anymore. I kind of want it all to be over so we can try again

Treaclepie19 · 02/08/2018 17:31

Yeah I feel the same. I'm still tired but I'm feeling very different to how I did over the weekend.
It's rubbish.

Tootyfrooty35 · 02/08/2018 23:03

Mmm, I posted earlier but it seems to have disappeared, oh well 😂 been thinking of everyone here today.

Just wanted to say hi to any newbies joining, don't be shy 😊 we're all in this together.

I felt very excited for the first time today but also had a cry as the reality of a third child hit me briefly!

Any odd symptoms yet... I've got dry eyes already and bunged up nose feeling. Not much else today.

monkerina · 03/08/2018 06:40

Good morning everyone, thinking of you all regularly! Have decided to get over myself and ring the docs to get the process started today.

Almost had my inaugural vom at breakfast yesterday, it was a close thing! Otherwise just faintly nauseous all the time, tired, starving by lunch and dinner time and masses of Montgomery tubercules Shock

Footymum81 · 03/08/2018 07:12

Morning @Monkerina I've been awake for ages, seems like dot is preparing me for the sleepless nights to come! I seem to feel sick/uncomfortable after eating but not at any other times so far, fx it doesn't get too bad. Other than that we're just enjoying the 'bubble' of our secret.

Does anyone have any advice on how to tell close family members who are struggling to conceive? My DB and partner and BIL and wife have both been trying for about 3 years and we've caught on our first month of trying. Can't help but feel a bit guilty.
On the other hand we can't wait to tell my DGM that she'll be a Great-nan again, she'll be 99 in November and we've always been very close, she's housebound but made it to our wedding last month which was the first time she'd been out in over a year. She was 84 when DD was born but still babysat her one day a week until she started school.

Tootyfrooty35 · 03/08/2018 07:14

Me too monkerina I think we've had over a week of just me and hubby knowing and now I'm ready to make that call 😂 I thibk even when you're ttc it's still a shock to the system!

Feeling nauseated too and getting nursing aversion so gonna have to think whether I'm going to wean or not, well sooner or later is more the question.
