@clairehr fingers crossed everything goes well for you tomorrow.

I am on a hen do and it's lovely because 2 of the other hens (who I have not met before!) are also pregnant! The others have gone out partying tonight and we've stayed on the cottage chatting and now having an early night! Think we are all pleased we're not by ourselves!!

@clairehr I started bleeding last night too. Already had another early scan booked for later today following up from last weeks so we shall see. Been at a hen do this weekend too and think I over did it although probably hasn’t had an impact on the bleeding. Just wishful thinking that’s the reason for it. Fingers crossed your scan goes well.

IndiX · 22/07/2018 06:01

@Lookingforadvice123 yes I feel huge already, I've only put 3lbs on at 10/11weeks but feels like 3 stone by the end of the day. My belly gets so bloated. I wasn't sick either with my DD so this time is definitely harder.
I was sick actual food last night though and chocolate was involved so maybe I missed out those calories 😂

Ladies what cravings/aversions have you all had? Interesting to see everyone's different cravings? Mine change on the house sometimes but I have had a thing for spicy food (until it burnt my throat when I was sick 🙈)

FrowningFlamingo · 22/07/2018 07:16

IndiX I've had two meals where all of a sudden I have a massive aversion to the meat in them. Once was chicken and once was sausages. To the point I had to take them off my plate to eat the other stuff, I couldn't even face eating round them.
I always suspected that pregnant women were just being drama queens about that sort of stuff to be honest; I take it all back now!
Have eaten both since with no problem. Pregnancy is weird!!

twiglet · 22/07/2018 07:50

IndiX I still can't eat hot fish.... Cold or hot (it's still cold just the name) smoked salmon, tuna chunks or sushi absolutely fine, seafood including squid is fine but piece of hot fish nope! It's annoying as I love it!

Baby160P · 22/07/2018 07:51

Early scan today 😬

@jeanzbeanz although you're 3 weeks ahead of me spit maybe the end of symptoms I thought I'd mention that my symptoms went around Monday until yesterday when I woke up at 5 feeling awfully sick and fell asleep by 8:30 last night and only just woke up!

emalady · 22/07/2018 07:57

Hello all. I was on the other thread but come to join in with you lot. I'm 12 weeks on Wednesday, first pregnancy, ivf to get here (very lucky that cycle one worked). My 12 week scan is Friday, I've already had a few earlier scans for reassurance but getting really nervous again. Still some nausea and dry retching, what fun but it does seem to be getting better.
Sorry if tmi but anyone else really frisky?

UndercoverLauren · 22/07/2018 08:22

@lanalawr Thanks, that's worth bearing in mind.

bubblybrit · 22/07/2018 10:50

Does anyone know where to get good maternity jeans? I’m finding my normal jeans are a little tight and the button is digging into my tummy and causing discomfort. I have a 7 hour car journey next Saturday and really looking for comfy jeans to travel in. Any suggestions?

Lookingforadvice123 · 22/07/2018 11:03

bubblybrit I loved my H&M over bump mat jeans. Can't wait until I'm at an acceptable point to get those out again!

I can't wear my tightest high waisted jeans, but a few of my pairs I'm wearing with a hair bobble looped over the button, so I don't actually have to do the button up. That might help?

Notquiteagandt · 22/07/2018 11:11

@bubblybrit friends have raved about new look and asos maternity jeans.

hayleyfx · 22/07/2018 11:49

@bubblybrit @Yakadee thanks ladies. So nervous 😬

@MakeLemonade beautiful photo!

@clairehr I’m sorry, I hope everything goes well. Got everything crossed for you 🤞

I’m 11+5 and my sickness has actually been worse the past couple days. Didn’t eat all day yesterday until night when I managed toast and some ice cream, then was violently sick! This morning I’ve vomited twice already. Anybody else still really sick around this point?

smellsofelderberries · 22/07/2018 12:11

@bubblybrit I found under bump new look jeans good for early stages. I've just bought some jeans expanders though and they're brilliant!!

Felt almost normal for the first time in weeks yesterday, and OH and I managed to have sex for only the second time since I got pregnant! Felt like a victory for normality, although as soon as it was over I promptly dry heaved, haha! Even managed to go out for a proper meal, it was just heaven to eat like a normal human, and the place was vegan with only non alcoholic cocktails so was lovely to feel normal in that respect too! Really cheered me up after a rotten 3 weeks. Still not sure the UTI has cleared up though even after antibiotics. Not sure what happens with the test results from the hospital? Anyone with Homerton experience know if they call you or if they go to the GP?

Dreading the crazy heat again this week, was considering an adult padding pool but don’t want to waste water!

bubblybrit · 22/07/2018 12:30

Thanks everyone. I’ll have a look online this afternoon. Didn’t think I’d have this issue at 10 weeks so kinda taken me by surprise!

Susannach · 22/07/2018 12:49

@bubblybrit Under bump!!! I found over bump ones sooo tight and uncomfortable, felt like I was full and bloated constantly.

@clairehr Good luck today. Keeping everything crossed for you.

Well, I’m feeling worse than ever this week. Ugh ugh ugh. Bring on the 2nd trimester!

clairehr · 22/07/2018 13:00

I'm just growing a tinker!!! All snug in there, bouncing around, and even gave us a wave, and can't find any reason for the bleeding.

FrowningFlamingo · 22/07/2018 13:12

Very pleased for you clairehr!

I bought some maternity trousers very early on as a friend warned me that very suddenly she couldn't fit her trousers. I haven't needed them yet but it's good to know they're there!

DragonFlew · 22/07/2018 13:14

@clairehr ah how cute! I bet you feel so much better now!

Pea1984 · 22/07/2018 13:16

@clairehr that’s great news! It’s given me a tiny bit of hope for my scan later. How many weeks are you?

clairehr · 22/07/2018 13:27

@Pea1984 What time is yours at? Keep your hopes high, I went in thinking the worst, but saw baby moving straight away (and still I stupidly asked "Is the heart beating?" 🙄) I'm 10w 1. How far along are you? Because they couldn't find any particular reason for the bleed they have said that it could just be the placenta moving a little at this stage.

maxiflump1 · 22/07/2018 13:28

Great news @clairehr! Keeping you on your toes!

I recommend over bump trousers all the way! Couldn't get on with under bump at all: felt like they were falling down all the time! Funny how we are all different Smile

@clairehr - that's amazing! Xx

Alicejj8x · 22/07/2018 13:41

@clairehr great news so pleased for you x

Baby160P · 22/07/2018 13:43

After being paranoid as symptoms disappeared this week we booked a second early scan. Paranoid mumma!!

So we're now 9+3 instead of 8+6.

String little heart beat and baby looked like it was dancing away!
