Ladies going out for dinner tonight and fancy the salmon.

Is this safe? I've googled it and seems ok but just want some opinions plz xx

MakeLemonade · 21/07/2018 19:38

Yes salmon absolutely fine.

Had a lovely scan this morning, baby was very wiggly and could see hands and feet 😍 incredible the difference between 6 weeks and nearly 10 weeks. Here’s the little bean.

@MakeLemonade how beautiful!!

Camsie30 · 21/07/2018 20:07

@Alicejj8x salmon is fine but only once a week I think. Have fun!

lanalawr · 21/07/2018 20:08

@UndercoverLauren you should have the choice. Maybe bring it up at your next appointment. You can transfer at any point to the ward (my area published stats on transfers from the unit to the ward and they’re higher than I expected). It’s worth bearing in mind that the facilities for during/after labour and birth may be different in each though. Our MLU is lovely with double beds and private rooms as standard so partners can stay. You don’t get that on the wards here but every area is different. There is also less monitoring and more room to move about in our MLU (although I didn’t get much chance as DD was born 30 mins after we arrived there!).

@Yakadee can you ask to labour in the water even if you can’t give birth in there? If you’re considered high risk then the MLU in my area won’t take you as they’re less well equipped for emergencies. However there is a room on the consultant led unit with a pool.

@Alicejj8x salmon is fine.

Lovely scan pics everyone! Our 12 week scan is Friday. Looking forward to seeing the baby!

IndiX · 21/07/2018 20:16

@Lookingforadvice123 yes I've only just started being properly sick the last few days after weeks of nausea. Mine is mostly bile aswell even if I've eaten a lot through the day, don't know why but just letting you know I'm the same.
P.s. stay away from Mexican food. Was not good bringing that back up and the spice burnt my throat Sad

Baby160P · 21/07/2018 20:21

@IndiX don't tell me that we have fajitas tonight and I'm feeling roughhhhhhhh 😩🙈😂

Yakadee · 21/07/2018 20:27

@lanalawr - to be honest, I wouldn't be surprised if they want me to have a section but I'll cross that bridge when I have to.

I'll ask again nearer the time x

clairehr · 21/07/2018 20:35

Might be out ladies, been bleeding today, bright red, but no clots yet. Scan booked for tomorrow to see if baby is doing ok or not 😔

bubblybrit · 21/07/2018 20:43

@clairehr. Hope everything goes ok with your scan tomorrow xx

bubblybrit · 21/07/2018 20:44

@MakeLemonade. What a great scan picture. It is amazing isn’t it to see them wiggly about x

FrowningFlamingo · 21/07/2018 20:51

Oh gosh clairehr sorry to hear that. Keeping fingers crossed for you.

bubblybrit I got my BFP at 3+3!! I'd always suspected I ovulated early so I guess I must have been right. I only tested as I was going for a boozy lunch with a friend, almost didn't bother! It feels like I've been pregnant forever though now!

Lovely to see some nice scan pics. I've got my harmony on Wednesday at 11 weeks. I originally wanted to wait until 12 but couldn't quite hold out! You might get your results sooner than you think, bubblybrit - the guy at our hospital says he often gets results in three days now though it can be longer.

MakeLemonade · 21/07/2018 20:54

Got my fingers crossed for you @clairehr 🤞🏼

Since2016 · 21/07/2018 20:55

@clairehr I've been bleeding on and off for weeks - subchorionic haematoma and I mean haemorrhaging. Every time I've been to EPU they say if there's no pain it's a good sign. Keeping fingers crossed for you it's utterly terrifying xx

MakeLemonade · 21/07/2018 20:56

On the bloating front, I’ve found fresh mint tea and prune juice (not together!) helps, probably as it helps my digestive system keep moving.

The prune juice isn’t the nicest so I down it holding my nose and follow up with two choc buttons!

bubblybrit · 21/07/2018 21:00

@FrowningFlamingo. Now that is early to find out! Time has just stood still for me. So relieved that everything is ok so far. First time I’ve felt pretty relaxed since I found out.

Oh that’s good about the harmony results. Hoping it might be a bit quicker in that case. Would love to find out by Friday as going to visit friends in England on Saturday so would rather find out in advance.

Oh you must be getting excited about your scan on Wednesday. Can’t wait to see a pic!

FrowningFlamingo · 21/07/2018 21:26

Glad you're feeling a bit more chilled :)
I did have a slightly strange period with heavier spotting than usual and I'm going from what I considered 'full flow' but it was hard to tell (sorry if tmi!) so I wouldn't be overly surprised if my dates change a smidge at my 12 week and I'm a little further than we thought but we will see!

jeanzbeanz · 21/07/2018 21:30

Just checking in! I'm still feeling remarkably well. Went to the supermarket today, first time for over four weeks, and helped prepare the evening meal, first time I've done food prep for six weeks I reckon! I haven't been sick for three days now 😊 I'm still feeling sick sometimes, got a sore back and feeling tired, but definitely got over the debilitating exhaustion and constant nausea. 😊😊

I've decided I won't have the Downs screening, but I'm still going to go for the extra scan next week. I know I shouldn't worry, but feeling so much better is making me wonder whether the baby is still OK, so I'll be glad to see it moving again!

Hope everything goes well tomorrow @clairehr

Lookingforadvice123 · 21/07/2018 21:33

clairehr sorry to hear that and good luck at the scan. Everything crossed for you, you had a scan around 7 weeks with a heartbeat didn't you? Your odds of miscarriage drastically reduce once a heartbeat is seen at that stage so I think your odds are good. I had red blood with DS around 8 weeks which turned to brown spotting then disappeared - all was 100% fine.

jeanz remind us how far along you are? You feeling well gives me hope that normality isn't too far away as you've had it rough haven't you?

Alicejj8x · 21/07/2018 21:35

@clairehr
I hope it goes ok tmo!! Xxx

Lookingforadvice123 · 21/07/2018 21:35

IndiX no it's good to hear it's not just me! I didn't vomit at all with my first pregnancy (just the nausea and retching) so I assumed if I was sick this time round it would be full on.

Almost a shame it wasn't a full vom really as if I'm going to be sick, I feel like it may as well include all the crap I've eaten (crisps and bready stuff) to try and help the nausea. Already feel like I've piled the weight on.

bubblybrit · 21/07/2018 21:45

@FrowningFlamingo. Not long to go now until you find out 😀!! Being further along isn’t a bad thing....especially as time is going sooo slow....well it is for me at least!

jeanzbeanz · 21/07/2018 21:49

@Lookingforadvice123 I'll be 12 weeks on Monday. I have a friend who said she started to feel better around this time too. So really hoping that I'll feel OK from now on 😊 got lots to catch up on!!

Fiep · 21/07/2018 21:59

@clairehr it could be anything, I had bleeding too and everything was fine. Fingers crossed for you.

@jeanzbeanz we are due date buddies! I'm 12w Monday too!

Fredthespider · 21/07/2018 22:04

@clairehr I’m crossing my fingers that it’s nothing to worry about x

12 weeks for me on Monday too, scan on Tues which I’m getting more anxious about! Trying not to get my hopes up in case it’s bad news even though it’s unlikely. I know a few who’ve had missed miscarriages.
