@MathsyMummy congratulations! Yes there's a Facebook group, @Sarahandduckarehigh and I are the admins so send a Pm to either of us with a description of your Facebook profile picture and we'll add you as a friend so we can add you to the group, then delete you so there's no correspondence thread back to you and noone will guess!

Mathsymummy · 16/07/2018 16:07

@Murphyrocks thanks pm sent x

thefirsttimer · 16/07/2018 16:10

@crazyhorseylady so sorry to hear that! SadWhat a tough weekend you must have had. Sending you lots of love xxx

FunkyChunk · 16/07/2018 16:15

Hi everyone, may I join you?

Funkychunk
32
SE London/Kent
DC2 (DD is 10 next week - big gap!)
Due 8th March 2019

Roughly 6.5 weeks in and feeling constantly seasick! I feel lucky though as I had HG with DD... I havent actually been sick yet so fingers crossed it wont be a repeat of last time!

Wineandchoccy · 16/07/2018 16:52

Welcome FunkyChunk there are 10 1/2 years between me and my brother we are really close despite the large age gap Smile

Murphyrocks · 16/07/2018 17:00

Welcome @FunkyChunk and congrats! Your state are quite similar to mine, there a 9.5 year age gap between my ds and DSS, I've just turned 33 and dd 7th March! Unfortunately been the other way round on sickness, it wasn't great last time but this time I've been signed off work with HG and fainting, it's rubbish!

orangekitkat13 · 16/07/2018 17:34

@crazyhorseylady sorry to hear this, you are obviously very strong to still have made it through the wedding. Take some time for yourself now.

hamandpease · 16/07/2018 17:40

@Bozley47 not harsh at all!

Just well explained which it what I wanted, thank you so much x

SplishSplashy · 16/07/2018 17:49

@hamandpease the sonographer would say then and there if any heart issues, but only say if nuchal fold is big if you've opted in to having the test.
A nurse or midwife phones with the blood and combined results if they bring up any issues. I'm in 2 minds whether to have the test this time.

hamandpease · 16/07/2018 18:30

@SplishSplashy my midwife presented it as 'the' option rather than an option. I think I would have opted that way anyway but the more I think about my booking in appointment the more I get a bit angry.

wordsmithereens · 16/07/2018 19:17

Evening all, may I join?

34
London
DC1 (so excited!)
Due 4th March 2019

7 weeks exactly and have been super sick since last week, completely wiped out and even cyclizine only helps a limited amount. :( At the same time I don't think I've ever felt this positive about feeling so rotten in my life!

SplishSplashy · 16/07/2018 19:25

@hamandpease unfortunately I'd say that is a common theme throughout the whole thing, I found I had to defend my decisions a few times.

Wineandchoccy · 16/07/2018 19:36

wordsmithereens welcome and congratulations

We are getting busy now Smile

Marmite2018 · 16/07/2018 19:46

Hi all,

Tentatively joining; been lurking a little while but finally decided to join! I'm 6+2.

Age: 29
DC 1 (first pregnancy)
DD: 9th March
Surrey

Decided to join today as I've been feeling so horrendous for the last week I really need some moral support! Been having the most awful nausea which never appears to amount to anything! I've also been getting weird food aversions and I seem to be able to only eat carbs and beige food which is so unlike me! Also absolutely exhausted and just don't feel like doing anything. It's the worst not being able to say anything to anyone!

Fortunately, I'm a teacher so only a few days until the end of term but really not sure how I'll make it at this point Confused.

Looking forward to getting to know you all :)

peonylover22 · 16/07/2018 19:51

So sorry @crazyhorseylady Flowers

Welcome @wordsmithereens @Marmite2018 and @FunkyChunk and @mathsymummy

angel0071987 · 16/07/2018 19:57

Hi all
Can I join?

31
Cambridgeshire
2nd (DS will be 2 end of March) due 18march

Smile
thefirsttimer · 16/07/2018 20:05

Welcome and congrats to all the newbies today! We are going to need another new thread soon at this rate Smile

wordsmithereens · 16/07/2018 20:10

@Wineandchoccy @peonylover22

@Marmite2018 We're food twins at the moment! All I can keep down are crackers and dry carbs and I love my food normally, so I feel your pain. The nausea is almost worse than being sick imho, if it's so unrelenting. Hang in there, for what it's worth I'm impressed at you hanging in with work, I'm off... One day at a time. :) xxx

wordsmithereens · 16/07/2018 20:12

And that was meant to say thanks for the welcome, @Wineandchoccy @peonylover22 - still getting the hang of this! Blush

Marmite2018 · 16/07/2018 20:16

@wordsmithereens ahh! I'm glad I'm not alone! I do feel bad for moaning because I'm so excited but I just feel so crap all the time! We can do it, just a few days to power through! Reading everyone's posts on here is keeping me going (oh and endless Love Island!)

Wineandchoccy · 16/07/2018 20:18

Ahh just used a gritty shower scrub my boobs did not appreciate that Shock I’m going to bed soon I’m so tired today hopefully it’s cooler in bed because it’s raining here for the first time in ages

BadBadBeans · 16/07/2018 20:20

@puravida31 oh no you didn't come off like you implied that at all; it's purely that I am feeling a bit silly about all the tests! However I did a supermarket own brand one this afternoon and it showed a lovely medium-strength line, which is all I would expect at 4+2, so I'm very happy with that.

@fuzzywuzzy01 I'd def go with psychic rather than chubby! ;)

Welcome @FunkyChunk @wordsmithereens and @Marmite2018

Would anyone mind if we started a bit of a stats compilation? Then whoever starts the next thread could copy and paste it to the first post so it's easy to refer to.

I'll start, and if other people could C&P the list and then put themselves in estimated due date order, that would be helpful?

@BadBadBeans that will take a lot of posts and if 2 people post at the same time someone might accidentally get missed.

Everyone could PM you and then you could post it once?

wordsmithereens · 16/07/2018 20:33

@Marmite2018, ah, I reckon we're all allowed the odd moan now and then - it's all part and parcel of a new experience, the good and the bad! (Lots of Big Bang Theory here, lol)
