@hamandpease with DS, I told two close friends immediately - there was no way I wasn't sharing it with them! We told parents and siblings and a few other friends at 7 weeks - mostly because we were spending a lot of time with my in-laws and I had just started feeling sick, and it was going to be patently obvious anyway. I waited till the 12 week scan and good test results to tell wider family / friends.
I've already told a good handful of friends about this pregnancy - my criteria is actually whether or not I'd be okay with them knowing if I had to terminate for medical reasons. I was so glad that several people (including family) already knew when I miscarried last time. It meant I had immediate support.
@puravida31 I think it's a very modern phenomenon to take lots of pregnancy tests. I didn't do daily ones with my last ones either but I really feel like I need the reassurance with this one - I want to see physical evidence that something is going on in there. That said, my last pregnancy I got a SUPER dark line at 6 weeks, which was about when everything stopped growing; I am very aware that seeing the lines progressing at this early stage obviously doesn't mean all is going to be well later. But I just cannae help myself... I've ordered 25 more cheap ones and I just don't care if it's silly, I'm going to do one every day until I feel confident that this is going to work out.
@crazyhorselady I'm so sorry to hear your sad news. You are an absolute superstar to have carried on with bridesmaid duties under the circumstances. I hope that EPU can confirm that everything has passed, and that you can now take some time to recover and look after yourself. x
@Peonylover22 I was in the bathroom at home at 2am, having just got my DS back to sleep. I was too scared that the noise of turning on the light would wake him up so I saw my BFP develop by the light of my mobile phone!
@Mathsymummy congrats! When do you think your due date might be?
