Part 3 already! And there is a split in the group. Hopefully everyone joins on this one. Shall we try and get a list of due dates going? I'm also interested to know where people live if they'd like to share. Not sure what other info would be needed. Also if anyone wants to join the fb group let me know.

Sorry to hear your bleeding has increased @2016. Thankfully mine has subsided. At least you know what yours is. I've had blood in my urine for weeks they are unsure about. My gp said she'd phone Monday to get me an early scan. I went to sleep with a temp of 38 and feeling awful and woken up feeling fine for the first time in 2 weeks. Slightly worrying. I hope they agree to additional monitoring for you.

@1sttimetina I've added lemon sherberts to my list

Thanks for the tip @1stTimeTina Lemon sherberts sound good 😁 think I'll try them too.

Interesting that the anti nausea drugs made you tired - do you know what it's called? I'm hoping to get something prescribed but I could really do without feeling (even more) tired!!

jeanzbeanz · 07/07/2018 10:29

I'm 9 weeks today and the list of baby's achievements this week on the Ovia app is incredible! 😍 kidneys, liver, brain and lungs are all starting to function on their own, it has got fingers and toes and elbows that bend!! and even starting to develop a sense of balance. Incredible.

clairehr · 07/07/2018 10:44

@jeanzbeanz Oh that's amazing 😊 I'm loving the Ovia app, it's the only one that gives me something new to read about baby each day!

1stTimeTina · 07/07/2018 10:46

@bubblybrit it’s like the longest wait isn’t it!! Did they give you a dating scan date at your midwife appt?

@jeanzbeanz the other night I had sherbert lemons instead of my tea ... I think it’s the sugar that helps! Although my poor teeth!! The doc gave me Cyclizine Hydrochloride, you can take them up to 3 times a day but one wiped me out!

Thanks @babybeany 😊 I know what you mean about the appetite thing! I’ve been eating the strangest of things for tea! Sometimes it’s potato waffles and ketchup, other times it’s just a few potato smileys , sometimes it’s just tomatoes and a cheese string... I did find home made shepherds pie went down well, but felt SO FULL after just a small portion xx

Pea1984 · 07/07/2018 11:04

How is everyone feeling today? I was desperate to get to the weekend but now feel worse, probably because I’m not distracted by work. Still no actual sickness though so that’s a positive.

Got my scan appointment through today for 10th Aug but already caved and booked an early scan for next Sunday. Time is going so slowly!

bubblybrit · 07/07/2018 11:15

@1stTimeTina. Never known time to drag by so slowly....no my EDD is purely based on the date of my last period so won’t really get an accurate EDD until my scan at 10 weeks. I’m paying for the NIPT which is £400 in my area so could really justify an early reassurance scan at 6-7 weeks! X

bubblybrit · 07/07/2018 11:16

couldn’t

DragonFlew · 07/07/2018 11:21

Hi all! I'm 7 weeks tomorrow, the nausea is so bad now - no actual vomming though! I've got a 5 and 3 year old that we aren't telling until after 12 weeks so trying to hide how miserable I'm feeling from them is tough!

Out of interest, those paying for early scans, how much are they? I've seen one near me for £79 - does that sound about right?

Pea1984 · 07/07/2018 11:27

That’s how much the one I’ve booked is. I paid a £30 deposit and will pay the rest at the appointment.

DragonFlew · 07/07/2018 11:32

@Pea1984 thats so exciting. I bet you can't wait. I'm going to try and wait for 12 week scan!
When is your EDD?
I've not booked to see a midwife yet, my edd is 24th Feb. I was going to wait until about 9-10 weeks, I'm a bit nervous because then it's 'real' - is that makes sense! DH & I are in our own little bubble atm!

Lookingforadvice123 · 07/07/2018 11:37

dragonflew that sounds like a reasonable price to me. The one I've booked for Tuesday is £75, but there's another clinic that I went to with DS which only charges £50. I'm going to the more expensive one as they do earlier ones and can do a trans-vag if needed (!) whereas the cheaper one can only do 8+ weeks. If all is well at this one on Tuesday though, I will most likely book another for about 9-10 weeks, but at the cheaper place this time!

Lookingforadvice123 · 07/07/2018 11:39

bluebee glad to hear your bleeding has subsided. If it's in your urine could it be a urine/kidney infection? DH has blood in urine once caused by "joggers heamaturia" (basically if you do a lot of high impact sport, your bladder lining can damage slightly, but it's completely harmless). I'm assuming you haven't been doing any high impact sport recently though?!

SallyStartsSinging · 07/07/2018 11:59

I’m 8 weeks and I couldn’t wait til 12 - am having a private scan at 2.30.

Scared isn’t the word although I’ve felt terrible for 3 weeks I know I’m pregnant!!

smellsofelderberries · 07/07/2018 12:06

The early scan we had with DD was £100 but that was on Harley St so probably one of the more expensive. The one I had last week was only $100 out of pocket as baby was big enough to only need an abdominal!

Anyone else finding their nausea is set off by sounds/lights? I'm finding it hard going watching TV in the evenings and finding lying in a dark, quiet room helps.

I've not been sick yet but most food is sounding really unappealing now Sad

smellsofelderberries · 07/07/2018 12:07

Let us know how you get on @SallyStartsSinging !!

AliceRR · 07/07/2018 12:11

@babybeany I am experiencing some of that. I wake up feelingeither nauseous or really weak and sometimes hungry. I often seem to have sort of hunger pains but don’t know whether it’s hunger or trapped wind as I have it even after I have eaten and I don’t often feel like eating!

Lunch is ok.

Dinner time I feel nauseous and have that same hungry / trapped wind pain but don’t feel like eating. I make myself eat to feel better but it’s a struggle and I get full quickly.

SallyStartsSinging · 07/07/2018 12:50

I’ve felt sick everyday on and off since 5 weeks. Honestly I’ve had hangovers I throughly were going to kill me, but you know once a good nights sleep been had you are better!

It’s like a hangover that you have no idea when will come and go!

Celebelly · 07/07/2018 13:18

I've been feeling a bit less nauseous last couple of days. It's still there but it's not as debilitating and I've been able to get work done at last! I'm 9 weeks today. Boobs are still v painful though - that's been my one constant! They are also massive - I was looking at them in the mirror yesterday thinking how fantastic they look!

clairehr · 07/07/2018 13:32

Just an FYI ladies - plain rice crackers - not so bad on the way back up 🙄🤢

Any other tips for foods that aren't horrific with morning sickness let me know, I'll take all ideas right now!

jeanzbeanz · 07/07/2018 13:56

@clairehr avoid fruit!! Sooo painful. Toast and boiled eggs has never failed me yet.

powkin · 07/07/2018 14:00

I feel so hungry but don't want to eat anything. Cat woke me up at 4.50am this morning which hasn't helped at all as, as soon as I wake up I a) really need the bathroom b) feel super hungry c) feel sick. Today I've had 4 bits of toast, some dry Krave cereal, an apple and yoghurt with apple compote (we froze it and it was still semi frozen and was actually really nice!). Can't eat a substantial enough meal to actually feel full so just feel constantly hungry which is almost as bad as feeling sick!

AND my kidney hurts when I pee so now I'm worried about that too. Have been very hormonal today. So fed up of the hot! Really want to go out this evening and will be very upset if I can't handle it. Need a distraction and a bit of fun.

powkin · 07/07/2018 14:03

@smellsofelderberries yes I find that once I'm feeling nauseous I want to sit in a dark room. In some training on Friday I put my head in my hands on the desk for a few minutes! Must have looked pretty unprofessional but just couldn't take it at all!

jeanzbeanz · 07/07/2018 14:17

I don't think I've ever felt hungry for the last three weeks - eating is a chore which I'm forcing myself to do as I definitely feel more sick on an empty stomach.

Not having a good day today - literally cannot wait to speak to the doctor on Monday!

DragonFlew · 07/07/2018 14:27

How are people explaining not drinking alcohol?
We've not told anyone yet but with the weather and the football I'm surrounded by drinkers - am trying to think of excuses haha!
