Part 3 already! And there is a split in the group. Hopefully everyone joins on this one. Shall we try and get a list of due dates going? I'm also interested to know where people live if they'd like to share. Not sure what other info would be needed. Also if anyone wants to join the fb group let me know.

I've always had it so for me it is reasonably normal BP. It doesn't need extra monitoring as it is genetic so as long as it's not causing me too many issues then it's OK.
I usually get it taken twice or more as people take my BP look at me and then don't believe the read out!

smellsofelderberries · 19/07/2018 03:22

We will be finding out with this one, like we did with DD. With her we were doing an international move at 27 weeks so I wanted lots of clothes I couldn't buy in the new country! And for this one, we have so many clothes stored which I really need to get rid of if we don't need the dresses. We have a lot of gender neutral, but lots of cute dresses and floral blouses too, so could pass them on. We're only in a two bed right now and absolutely bursting at the seams 😱

Anyone else getting migraines? The past 3 days I've worked up with them. Thankfully easily shifted with paracetamol and some extra rest, but it's making me paranoid something is wrong. I usually get a terrible migraine which lays me out most of the day, the day before my period starts so to me it signals dropping hormone levels. Still feeling sick, but worrying all the same. Thank god my Mum is here because this morning I was able to go back to bed after washing my hair and I feel so much better for another 3 hours rest. My daughter thinks today it the best day of all time too, playing with Grandma all morning!

Had the Harmony test today and they did a surprise scan (wasn't expecting one at all!)
Baby is gorgeous. I am 11.3 and finally starting to feel a tiny bit less anxious.
I was so excited and just wanted to tell someone... so told the check out lady and the chicken shop lady Grin

@PonyPals oh wow that is amaizing!

DragonFlew · 19/07/2018 07:41

@PonyPals that is an amazing picture! How beautiful x

Fredthespider · 19/07/2018 07:53

Amazing picture @PonyPals!

Am I right that we’re about to fill up this thread?

Baby160P · 19/07/2018 08:02

@anyone else not been sick and only had the odd few days nausea?

Feel bad seeing everyone else's posts about being sick.

Seafoodeatit · 19/07/2018 08:10

They don't really care about blood pressure unless it's on the high side, mine was 90/58 at my appointment which is very low for me so I'm constantly dizzy/lightheaded but I was told they're only worried if you're fainting.

Ponypal - such an amazing scan photo!

thismeansnothing · 19/07/2018 08:31

@Baby160P I've not been sick yet. But constant nausea with no break from it. Ill go there and say it that it's just as bad cos there's no relief. Dry retching, can't eat, and if I do force a few mouthfuls soon feel bloated and full. I'm only 8 weeks but it's been constant for 3 weeks. One minor benefit is I've lost just over half a stone in that time 🤣 (the weight could do with being lost so no bad thing)

Fredthespider · 19/07/2018 09:06

@Baby160P I’ve had a few occasions of being sick, but overall I’m not feeling too bad! I was very worried about how my body would react to pregnancy as I have chronic fatigue syndrome, but I’ve coped much better than I thought I would. Long may it continue!!

Lookingforadvice123 · 19/07/2018 09:20

I haven’t been full on sick, just loads of dry retching. I was the same without dS, sometimes I almost wish I would be sick if it would bring a bit of relief.

Can I ask why people are having the harmony test - is it an age thing? Previous problems? I know it’s very thorough, but it’s so expensive if there’s no reason to have it...

Alicejj8x · 19/07/2018 09:27

First craving after seeing
It on a bloody advert

Chicken royale from Burger King..

LookingAtTheStars89 · 19/07/2018 10:01

@Alicejj8x. Just looking at that would make me sick lol. 😂

@Lookingforadvice123. I'm not having one, just the regular tests :-)

@Fredthespider. I have CFS and I am snoozier than usual but it's manageable.

@Notquiteagandt. Not a hernia bit I've fucked all of my upper muscles up I think - chest etc. I'm off to the Drs with it and terrible indigestion this morning. :-(

Fredthespider · 19/07/2018 10:11

@LookingAtTheStars89 yeh I think I’d sum it up as ‘I’m tired, but that’s nothing new’ 😂 OH has been an absolute star at helping out letting me slob on the sofa.

I’m also another one with low BP, 92/64 at booking, but they didn’t even bat an eyelid or take it again to be sure so I’m not worried.

Alicejj8x · 19/07/2018 10:26

@LookingAtTheStars89
Ahaha I think I'm guna have to cave in and get one

Had home made pizzas last night but clearly baby didn't like that and made me bring it back up in seconds

PonyPals · 19/07/2018 11:18

@Lookingforadvice123
I am 37 tomorrow so age comes into it and we also had the result of Turner syndrome before so would like to check and be sure this baby is nice and safe.

Camsie30 · 19/07/2018 11:21

@Lookingforadvice123 I had the harmony test with my daughter, yes due to age ( I was 36 am now 40) but also because it's a non invasive way to find out whether there are any chromosomal issues ie downs syndrome/Edwards. The test is performed at 10 weeks and the results come two weeks later. Its a scan and a blood test. I had IVF this time and had the embryos tested, but my doctor still recommended the harmony test just in case. Added bonus is you can find out the sex at 12 weeks. It's £400 at the Fetal Medical Centre on Harley St.

Camsie30 · 19/07/2018 11:23

@Lookingforadvice123 I think it also depends on how you world feel if you found out that there was something wrong with the baby. It's very personal. I wouldn't continue a pregnancy if i knew that the baby had a chromosomal abnormality, so world rather know earlier.

somethingfromnothing · 19/07/2018 11:48

Hey everyone. Fell off the thread a bit as I’ve been struggling with sickness this past week. Got sent home from work on Monday and haven’t made it back in. I was on cyclizine, now on metoclopramide. The problem is I’m sick so much in the morning that I’m struggling to know when to take it. 10 weeks tomorrow and struggling. My dd is nearly 6 and it’s been summer holidays for a while here in Scotland which is making my days off with her tricky.

Notquiteagandt · 19/07/2018 11:49

All you ladies worried about low blood pressure. Mine went down at lowest to 83/47 I was quote worried. But my dr said so long as it is not giving me severe symptoms of low blood pressure. Not to worry.

@LookingAtTheStars89 horrible isnt it. Being sick and having to poke down random body parts, muscles and ribs haha. If it was possible I would swear I have bruised my ribs.

I would do anything for just a couple hours relief from being sick and to get a good sleep. 🤢

Lookingforadvice123 · 19/07/2018 12:15

Thanks all who replied re the harmony test. Loads of people on my Jan 2016 group back with DS seemed to have it and I always wondered but didn’t ask.

Pony sorry to hear about your experience with Turners. A friend had the same with her second pregnancy, and she had all the tests done with her subsequent third. Totally understandable.

I will be having the usual NT screening that the NHS offers, but I’m 30 so have never thought to do anything further, and don’t really know anyone in real life (other than the friend I mentioned) who has.

DragonFlew · 19/07/2018 13:25

Strange hearing about low bp - I had pre-eclampsia with DS1 i think my bp peaked at 190/110 😂
I also have severe white coat syndrome which doesn't help!

Can we only fit 1000 messages on a thread?

Since2016 · 19/07/2018 13:27

The only people I know have had it were a few on the Jan 2016 group with my daughter, but I thought that was due to age / family history from memory? And one or two friends but due to age - >36. I'm comfortable with the NHS tests and if anything is turned up will explore options. Our scan is at 11+4 so comfortable we have time if needed.
