Part 3 already! And there is a split in the group. Hopefully everyone joins on this one. Shall we try and get a list of due dates going? I'm also interested to know where people live if they'd like to share. Not sure what other info would be needed. Also if anyone wants to join the fb group let me know.

@Babybeany thank you

Ladies can you help me please.. ( not for me but for a friend)
She found out a few weeks ago she was pregnant and went for a scan today.. this is what was found in her scan
They have referred her to the EPU Monday for another scan.. nothing much is being said but I wondered if you could help with any ideas as to if this is good news/ bad news or just too early? They have said there is a slight hemorrhage there also and to expect some spotting but as of yet there hasn't been any. She had a MMC in March this year also
Apparently she’s around 6 weeks but we reckon she could of ovulated later. What do you all think?
I'll attach the pics of her scan today
Thank you 🙂

Hi everyone! First post here. I am due 24th February! Had no symptoms until 2 days ago (6weeks+3days) - really sore nips & so nauseous- but not actually been sick yet!
This will be DC3 & I'm so excited! Was worried a little until the symptoms kicked in!

hayleyfx · 06/07/2018 17:02

Just back from my scan ladies. Bub measured exactly what we thought 9+3, good heartbeat, two arms and two little legs wriggling about! It was amazing to see bub move 😍 I’m so in love ❤️

Thanks @babybeany I have these in my freezer 😔

@hayleyfx Ahhh, that's incredible, I bet you're feeling so much better now!

Babybeany · 06/07/2018 17:08

@Alicejj8x it’s so difficult to say!! Obviously not a sonography expert... if your friend is likely to only be in week 5 then she more than likely wouldn’t have seen a little dot. They literally double in size from week to week at the start. Maybe that is why they have referred for another scan in a few days time to see if there is any growth? Fx everything goes smoothly for your friend xx

MrsY87 · 06/07/2018 17:14

@Alicejj8x hopefully it's just a bit early for your friend. Being a few days out this early on makes a huge difference to what they can see. Did she wait til she had missed her period for a positive test and are her cycles regular as that could make a difference as to how far along she actually is. Did they do an internal scan or was it just abdominal?

I went for a scan at 7w and they put me back to 5+5. She had to do an internal scan to see things properly and even then she really had to take her time to see the embryos in the gestational sacs as they are just so tiny early on. My dates mean I would have had a positive test at something like 7dpo which would be v early but I suppose possible given it was a squinter & I have irregular cycles, could it be similar for your friend so she is actually just a week or so further behind than she thought & got a v early positive test?. Fx everything works out for your friend.

Babybeany · 06/07/2018 17:20

@hayleyfx this is just beautiful! Massive congratulations! X

Babybeany · 06/07/2018 17:21

Welcome aboard @DragonFlew x

Alicejj8x · 06/07/2018 17:23

@Babybeany

Thank you so much

Yes so they are saying from her period she should be 6 weeks and they should be able to see more at 6 weeks apparently.
But her period was the 25th may so I reckon she's a few weeks behind me putting her at 4-5 weeks if not earlier possibly!

Yes they are sending her for a scan Monday so fingers crossed she'll be able to see more then

I know when I went last week they said it looked like I was 5ish weeks but we saw a heart beat so I'm thinking I'm possibly earlier on anyway

Alicejj8x · 06/07/2018 17:27

@MrsY87
Thank you so much for replying :)..

Yes she waited for a missed period before she did the test and it come up positive but faint at first. Her periods are regular from what I know she did have a MC in March this year too a few weeks after me.. so we're hoping it's ok for her this time round
They did an internal scan but didn't say much apparently only that there was a bleed and to prepare for spotting but as of yet nothing.
I am thinking she's abit early and ovulated later I am hoping anyway for her.. ahh yes that's the same for me last week I had internal scan she said I looked 5ish weeks but didn't measure me and we saw a heart beat so I reckon I'm abit further on so I am hoping she's behind me abit and that's why they can't see anything.
Ahh ok yes that's very early isn't it I thnk the thing that worrying them is that there's no yolk sac atm just the gestational sac ..

Hopefully Monday will be able to tell her more now. Thank you xxx

Alicejj8x · 06/07/2018 17:28

@hayleyfx congrats lovely x

Bluebeee · 06/07/2018 17:33

I'm bleeding quite a bit more than I would like. Blood clots etc. I'm 8+5, am I too early to go to the hospital? My pregnancy with DD was wholly uneventful. What would you do?

Sorry about your bleeding since2016

OP posts:
LookingAtTheStars89 · 06/07/2018 17:38

@MrsY87. I'm the same, I got put back to 6w 1d at supposedly 7w. I would have had to have gotten a + at 7dpo too - not impossible I suppose. My bean was snuggly tucked up right in the corner of the sack so not very easy to measure at all! First measurement she got 5w 6d then 6w 1d. It's so hard to tell at that stage.

clairehr · 06/07/2018 17:40

@bluebeee I would personally go to the EPU if there are clots and its red bleeding just to check. They should definitely be able to see what's happening at an ultrasound at this point, they can usually pick baby up around 5-6 weeks.

Just adding myself to the list :) none of my friends have been pregnant or are remotely interested in trying for a baby so I'm hoping this forum will be good for me. Sometimes I feel a bit lonely!

Since2016 · 06/07/2018 17:45

@Bluebeee definitely go to EPU if they're still open.

MrsY87 · 06/07/2018 17:49

No problem @Alicejj8x hope it's just too early to see the yoke sac for your friend and she gets positive news on Monday.

@LookingAtTheStars89 I think early scans are notoriously difficult to get measurements particularly that early. Hopefully everything keeps progressing well for us all. Have you got another scan before your 12w one?

@Bluebeee I'd give the epu a call, they should def be able to see what's going on at 8-9w. Hope it's nothing for you.

@Since2016 my DH is being left to a lot of the childcare with our DD and DS too, no idea how I'm going to cope when we're back from holiday!

Wames90 · 06/07/2018 18:05

@MrsY I’m definitely with you about the husband that doesn’t understand. I explained mine as feeling like I’ve got food poisoning on an all inclusive holiday (especially with the heat!). He’s been much more sympathetic since! I hope you’re feeling better soon and I feel like I shouldn’t be complaining at all when you’ve got double the growing to do. Sending you lots of salt and vinegar wishes to get you through.

Wames90 · 06/07/2018 18:07

What a beautiful scan picture @hayleyfx. How exciting 😬. Congratulations and I’m glad it went well.

@busybeee ring EPU and I expect they’ll tell you to go up there. You might go through to Beech Ward now that it’s out of hours but they are so helpful. Or call the hospital switchboard and ask to be put through to the oncall midwife 🤞🏼💐

Notquiteagandt · 06/07/2018 18:09

@Alicejj8x has she been diagnosed with a pregnancy of unknown location?? Did they take bloods from her?? That early on HCG is a very good indicator of a viable pregnancy.

My first scan in epu due to orevious ectopic was diagnosed as this as they could only see womb thickening and a cyst. But a week later saw egg sack, yolk and fetal pole. Theres a hell of a lot of differance day to day that early on. Turns out I was quite a bit earlier than I thought.

But they should be monitoring her blood levels in the mean time. The starting level and then subsiquent 48hrs later level should give a good incator of a viable pregnancy.

clairehr · 06/07/2018 18:09

@MrsY87 @wanes Totally with you on the lack of empathy! I've been feeling awful all day so explained it to other half when he got in from work cos I didn't want to be cooking. So he pops open sour cream pringles and heats up chicken to eat right next to me 🤢

Wames90 · 06/07/2018 18:10

Sorry that was meant to be @bluebeee (autocorrect fail!) ... ring EPU and I expect they’ll tell you to go up there. You might go through to Beech Ward now that it’s out of hours but they are so helpful. Or call the hospital switchboard and ask to be put through to the oncall midwife 🤞🏼💐

Bluebeee · 06/07/2018 18:18

I forgot you work at the hospital @wames90 what kind of nurse are you? I phoned the epu but I can't self refer so they said to phone my gp, go to urgent care or a&e. I phoned my gp who amazingly were open and she said she'd get a doctor to call me back.

Had an early scan today as I was referred by my GP. All is well and little tiny heartbeat. He thought I was a bit behind where I thought but it was quite hard to find little Pip with the tummy scan so he didn’t get the best look and clearly couldn’t be arsed to do an internal scan! Was a relief but I know lots can still go wrong!
