Sorry to hear your suffering with HG @Notquiteagandt you are def in the right place and hope you start to feel better once you've got some fluids and the anti sickness drugs in you. X

Nausea seemed a little better the past couple of day then, bam, this morning as bad as ever! With my son I was over the worst by 10 weeks so hoping I’m nearly there. I’ve just booked to have the Harmony test a week tomorrow when I’ll be 10+3, then I’m off on holiday for 10 days then we have our 12 weeks scan the day after we get back when I’ll be 12+5, so hopefully I can then relax a little!!

Ahh this is reassuring to hear ( not that your being sick of course) but my nausea has seemed to vanish for 2 days and I wondering if everything is ok but I guess it may just come back with a vengeance soo.

I know different things work for different people so might not work for anyone else. But if anyone else is struggling to drink anything - I've found a slice of lemon and a few drops of lemon juice in iced water makes it possible for me to drink sips of water! (can't stomach plain water - tastes vile!)

So I got my second bout of bleeding today. Just awful. Faffed about going to EPU as I have DD with me but in the end I did and brought my mum with. Thankfully all fine - FYI Londoners the Whittington is amazing - walk-in EPU with scanning clinic from 9-12 every day.

Last week measured 7 weeks - so a week ahead of my dates, this week 7 weeks so more in line with my dates. Otherwise no concerns and strong heart beat but I do have a haematoma again which is why I've been bleeding. It may happen again too although fx not.

My sickness is ramping up - it's started earlier than with DD and london is SO hot. I only want salty carbs 😫

Hope all who are also feeling ill are doing ok in the heat. I'm never actually sick so count myself lucky - but lots of public dry retching which is quite 🤢

Oh and I'm 34 sorry!

@Since2016 Glad your bleeding is nothing more serious, but still sorry you're going through it! And a massive yes to salty carbs - that's literally all I want to eat, what is that about?! Even thinking about other food makes me feel queasy, especially the thought of anything sweet 🤢

@Since2016 glad your scan was positive, hope the bleeding is over for you now. I'm also wanting salty & vinegary carbs...I've just eaten a huge bowl of salt & vinegar crisps...YUM!

Is anyone else's DH struggling to understand how they are feeling? I feel so much worse this time than I did with either DD or DS and DH is being great looking after DD so I can nap whilst DS naps but I don't think he gets quite how exhausted and nauseous I feel..it feels like I've had a really bad hangover for days

Thanks @clairehr and @MrsY87 - I made the mistake of googling it - apparently it can increase risk of miscarriage - great! Have MW on Monday though so will have a chat with her. I still have a little bit of bleeding but not much.

DH definitely doesn't get it - it's boiling and I'm either sick / exhausted plus DD is a toddler and full on. He is being lovely but getting exasperated that I'm tired and have to eat on time - more of the child care is falling to him as a result. He loves the heat!

@MrsY87 that's exactly it - it's like a hideous hangover. I wish I had crisps 😫 too hot to walk to the shop with DD in tow and I've eaten my other snacks 😫😫😫

Totally agree about the salty carbs. In my last pregnancy I lived off Walkers salt n vinegar extra crunchy. They were amazing! Today I had a baguette slathered in salted butter. Food of the gods!

I took the plunge and rang the GP surgery this afternoon to ask to speak to a Dr about getting nausea meds. Wish I'd done it earlier in the day as they didn't have any slots left for today, but I'll get a call on Monday afternoon. Here's hoping that by Monday I'll be so much better that I don't need it 😄 and if not, they will prescribe me something! I didn't even know you could speak to a Dr over the phone - thought I would have to go in.
