Part 3 already! And there is a split in the group. Hopefully everyone joins on this one. Shall we try and get a list of due dates going? I'm also interested to know where people live if they'd like to share. Not sure what other info would be needed. Also if anyone wants to join the fb group let me know.

I was told the nearby birth options at my first appointment: there are two near me (well, both 40 mins away as we live in a village) but I'm going for the birthing centre with hospital next door I think.

So, I bought a Doppler the other day and it arrived this morning. I've just heard baby's heartbeat!!! Nice and fast and strong. It's given me a bit of a boost for this last week before our scan. Gave it to DP to put away so I don't use it again 😂 but I'm grinning from ear to ear!

twiglet · 16/07/2018 10:00

It's only one! It's just making me feel rubbish lol.
10 +4 at the scan so rough date of 7th Feb got another scan in 2 weeks

That's lovely @Celebelly I'm tempted to buy a Doppler now! Grin

Yes to the sick/hunger! I feel starving after about 1.5-2hours of eating my last meal. My stomach rumbles and hurts with hunger but I feel so nauseous 80% of the day I don't want to constantly eat. Trying to just stick to 3 proper meals and little snacks if I feel starving. It's tough though.
Anyone else feel really sick before bed? Mine is definitely worse later in the day and in the evening.

IndiX · 16/07/2018 10:03

Lovely scan @twiglet Smile

twiglet · 16/07/2018 10:10

Thanks I didn't realise it was the wrong way until it came up on here!
I'm just glad everything is OK and I get a bonus scan in 2 weeks time Smile

Notquiteagandt · 16/07/2018 10:28

So I have an emergancy scan this afternoon...pretty sure I am going to be out the game. Don't have a good feeling at all.

Although im still bed bound being horrendously sick with nose of a blood hound. Every other symptom has dissapeared.

Started leaking brown fluid. So looking likely infection has already set it.

MrsY87 · 16/07/2018 10:34

Lovely scan @twiglet

Hope your scan gives you positive news @Notquiteagandt

AliceRR · 16/07/2018 10:39

Oh and we are going to Alton Towers on Sunday to take the step kids out as it is OSS birthday today. I’m taking my cousin too for company but presume I can’t go on most of the rides. Haven’t told her yet. What is a good excuse ladies??

I don’t really want to tell the wider family at least until I have my first scan and her mother is one of the people I don’t want to tell.

I’ve said “don’t like” big rides and I don’t really so might have to stick with that.

Slight variation on the hen do / spa dilemma 😬

Notquiteagandt · 16/07/2018 10:52

@AliceRR ear infection so your balance is a bit off and you feel dizzy and sick. Or a water infection and dont want any safety bars etc pressing your middle.

Sure youll think of something Grin

AliceRR · 16/07/2018 10:59

So stupidly I mentioned at the start of my MW appt that I want to have my baby in Leeds (and thought now is a good time as I would like to have my first scan in Leeds too and thought they’d still do the first appointment here) but MW (who was very nice) said Leeds insist on doing first appt so she cannot even do that but she did say she would send of scan card now so I get my scan sooner than later although presumably that means in Bradford so feel I have messed up. And I’m WFH today so I could come to this appointment!

On the plus side she has sent off my scan card for Bradford and said Leeds will also request an appointment so I can just take whichever comes first.

twiglet · 16/07/2018 11:03

@notquiteagnt glad you were able to get a scan I hope it goes ok

AliceRR · 16/07/2018 11:13

@notquiteagandt thanks, that’s not bad actually - I used that one last time as a reason not to have cocktails (with someone else!)

AliceRR · 16/07/2018 11:15

@notquiteagandt hope your scan goes ok today

maxiflump1 · 16/07/2018 12:26

Congrats @twiglet. Lovely photo.

Sorry @Notquiteagandt to hear your news. Hope you scan goes ok later x

hayley013 · 16/07/2018 12:32

Yeah @IndiX I feel much worse from about 5pm onwards.

Lovely scan photo @twiglet

Baby160P · 16/07/2018 14:10

Does anyone have severe symptoms one day and then they pretty much are gone the next day?

(Other than tiredness!!)

I'm 8 weeks today and felt so rubbish yesterday nausea all day and headache all day, my sore boobs feel less painful anyway recently. Although still a little sore. I had a nap yesterday as so rubbish and today, fine!

Katy16 · 16/07/2018 14:15

Hello all,

I hope you don't mind me joining. I'm 9 weeks with my first baby, due 14th Feb. It's so reassuring to hear other people feeling rubbish as well! I thought I was being a bit pathetic because I'm feeling sick all the time, actually throwing up about 3 times a day and constantly falling asleep on the sofa by 8pm. I'm glad it's not just me! Luckily my DH is being very understanding. I'm looking forward to this bit being over so I can eat properly again though. I feel like I'm living off biscuits and crisps!

craftymum01 · 16/07/2018 14:16

Is this the longest 12 weeks of anyone else's life? I swear time is going backwards. It did not seem this long with my last 2 pregnancies!

And this heat is infuriating me

twiglet · 16/07/2018 14:37

@craftymum01 yes time is definitely going backwards I went back 2 weeks this morning lol Blush
I think the next 2 weeks will crawl by!

jeanzbeanz · 16/07/2018 14:43

Ugh today is crawling. My scan is later this afternoon and I wish it was over already. So nervous, I feel so sick, and can't bear the thought of having a full bladder!! (haven't even tried to drink any liquid yet and already feel like I need to pee!)

AliceRR · 16/07/2018 14:46

Feel like I was a bit ranty earliee - will blame hormones! Feel a bit better about things now and not so much like it’s the end of the world. Was just a bit disappointed as I was sort of looking forward to first MW appointment as I am 10 week’s now and feels like it has been a long time coming! Hopefully I’ll get an appointment soon

Alicejj8x · 16/07/2018 14:52

@Baby160P
Yeah that's how I feel
Hun one day can feel sick and the next totally normal
And question if I'm
Actually pregnant lol

Today all I have is complete exhaustion and a bit of
Nausea

Baby160P · 16/07/2018 14:55

@Alicejj8x I know the feeling, I can't win!

Moan when I feel rubbish and then when I feel ok and I worry. 🙈

DragonFlew · 16/07/2018 14:59

@Baby160P yes! I was 8 weeks yesterday and felt horrendous.
Today I feel mildly nauseous but much better!
Boobs feel massive though!

Alicejj8x · 16/07/2018 15:07

@Baby160P
Oh I know exactly what you mean when I don't feel
Rubbish I'm like why don't I lol not that I've suffered massively anyway but still lol
