Part 3 already! And there is a split in the group. Hopefully everyone joins on this one. Shall we try and get a list of due dates going? I'm also interested to know where people live if they'd like to share. Not sure what other info would be needed. Also if anyone wants to join the fb group let me know.

@jeanzbeanz I'm glad it isn't just me!

Feel awful today.

Felt very sick all morning and had a headache. Just fell asleep the last hour 😴

jeanzbeanz · 15/07/2018 17:47

I'm 10+1 I think @DragonFlew (and on cyclizine).

I have my "12 week" scan tomorrow so will find out for certain how many weeks I am!

sickmumma · 15/07/2018 17:47

The sickness is awful! I am only 7 weeks if I've calculated right but I've missed out on a friends bbq today as I've not managed to keep anything down today! Think the hot weather definitely isn't helping! I don't know how you ladies are coping! The thought of two more days at work is getting me through! If I had another month with work too I would be a wreck! Xx

Notquiteagandt · 15/07/2018 18:03

@sickmumma if you cant keep anything down you may need fluids? Keep an eye on it amd watch you dont get dehydrated.

@clairehr I am not sure it warrents trip to A&E also Sunday night so EPU is closed. Always worse timing.

I am there tomorrow for fluids anyways so think I will mention it and beg for a scan Smile

DragonFlew · 15/07/2018 18:14

@jeanzbeanz good luck for your scan tomorrow! How exciting!
I cannot wait for mine! Going to arrange my booking appt with mw for next week when I'll be 9w.
I'm so looking forward to telling DS1 & DS2 (after scan)!

petitfilous1 · 15/07/2018 18:15

@sickmumma - I’ve been avoiding BBQs at all costs, the smell absolutely turns my stomach!

Fredthespider · 15/07/2018 18:47

Enjoy your scan tomorrow @Jeanzbeanz!

I'm definitely not enjoying the heat, it definitely makes the nausea worse. I've found that I keep overheating myself in the shower and that's what makes me sick :(

FrowningFlamingo · 15/07/2018 18:47

I haven't had ear popping with pregnancy but I do get it with stress which is apparently normal so could it be that??

I have felt ok today apart from one brief wave of strong nausea this morning. I can't do anything in this heat though, I feel like a wilting plant! DH is feeling the same though so I'm not sure I can blame pregnancy!

thismeansnothing · 15/07/2018 18:56

I've been useless and unfunctional all weekend so missed out loads on here but struggling to tag everyone in replies cos I can't concentrate. All I can say is DH has been a star looking after DD while I sleep/doze in the sofa. Hes stocked on boring plain food and done little bits to try and get me to eat. Not been sick but so so nautious and when I do stomach something a couple of mouth fulls and I'm bloated and full. I like food so it's just a bit miserable ATM.

He's also agreed to an early scan depending how my MW appointment goes on Fri when I'm 8+3. Were going to push for an EPU referral (no walk in it's GP/AE referral round here) My last pregnancy was ectopic and before that had a spontaneous misscarriage at 9-10 weeks. I'm so anxious to know that A) everything is where it should be and B) when I'm 9-10 weeks this time were at a music festival and I'd rather not be in the middle of a field in the middle of no where if it is all to go pear shaped. That bit is really playing on my mind atm. Friday can't come quick enough

MrsY87 · 15/07/2018 18:57

@Pea1984 sorry to hear your scan has left you upset & confused, could your dates be out? Keeping fx for you for next week

My nausea is definitely worse in the heat too & also if I don't keep hydrated enough my biggest problem with that is in the mornings I can't stomach any liquids so it's a bit of a catch 22. I've been taking my cyclizine the past couple of days and it's definitely helping keep the nausea at bay. Really hoping it won't last past the end of the1st trimester!

sickmumma · 15/07/2018 18:58

@Notquiteagandt it's very hit and miss, everything I ate this morning or drank I was ill with, I have managed a light dinner and a couple of drinks early evening but I just feel like I've been hit by a bus! I am finding I am heaving even though there is nothing there to come out! It's horrible!

If I am like this tomorrow I will have to take the tablets for Tuesday as we have our nursery leavers day out and I desperately want to go!

When does the sickness tend to peak? And when does it stop? (You would think I would know this being my 4th but it's been a bit of a gap!)

hayleyfx · 15/07/2018 19:05

@Pea1984 I hope everything is alright and you just ovulated late. Fingers crossed 🤞

@jeanzbeanz good luck for tomorrow!

@sickmumma my sickness reached it’s peak at 8-9 weeks. I vomited every single day and hardly ate for about two and a half weeks. I’m now 10+5 and it’s definitely improving. Still nauseous and vomit most mornings but I can actually eat now! Hopefully it doesn’t last too much longer for you 😊

Notquiteagandt · 15/07/2018 19:11

@sickmumma every dr I see keeps trying to reassure me that it usually peaks around 15 weeks then settles down. Apparently hormones stop increasing so fast at that point.

I am counting down every last hour, minute, second to that point.

Also I nievely only told drs the ammount of times I have actually brought stuff up. But apparently they count dry heaving too in their tallies. Just so you know.

The only thing I seem to manage to keep a couple mouthfulls down of on a good day are:

Jelly, custard, lolly ices, mash, boiled sweets, and melting skips on my tounge.

So can reccomend them.

thismeansnothing · 15/07/2018 19:17

@notquiteagandt glad you said that about skips. DD is on a school trip on Wednesday and needs a packed lunch. Don't normally have crisps in but made sure dh put Skips on the shopping list. They really appeal time and sure I'll be able to stomach them. I picked up some wotsits on Friday. They actually went down ok too in very small doses 🤣

Baby160P · 15/07/2018 20:40

Mine has been tuna. Making it for my other half and I just had to walk out he house and get some air, normally love it! 🤢

Today's been a bad nausea and ear popping day!
Could be stress related as we've been telling family and I've been worrying what some may say! No need to though.

MakeLemonade · 15/07/2018 21:50

I was supposed to be going to a wedding reception this evening but was so nauseous and had to keep stopping the car to heave our the door we ended up coming back home.

Weirdly I find strong flavours appealing, anything really salty, crunchy or sweet seems to work. Oh and really cold things, cereal with ice cold milk, sparkling water with lots of ice, lollies etc.

thismeansnothing · 15/07/2018 22:13

Just eaten half a Jamaican ginger cake....... amazing and probs the most calories I've had for a few days. I needed it

powkin · 15/07/2018 22:13

I’m still wretching and am also really gassy and bloated, but is anyone else CRAZY hungry?! I have no desire to eat and yet I’ve been hungry all day, I’m lucky I can keep stuff down but literally the moment I’ve finished a decent plate of food I feel hungry again! It’s really no better than feeling sick all the time! Bloody typical that I get that as a symptom when I’m already overweight.

Baby160P · 15/07/2018 22:54

@powkin I go through stages where if I feel sick it's like a hunger sick whereas normally if I've ever had a sick bug I can't face food.

I have physically been sick.

How many weeks are you?

FrowningFlamingo · 15/07/2018 22:56

@thismeansnothing I’m pretty sure a lot of places arrange EPU for anyone with a previous ectopic. The don’t do it routinely for MMC but I am sure I’ve seen several post where it seems standard after ectopic. Hope you get what you need!

powkin · 16/07/2018 07:16

@Baby160P I’m 8 weeks today. It’s like that super intense hunger feeling you get when you haven’t eaten for HOURS, but I’m getting it right after a decent amount of food. It feels horrible!

Bluelagoon25 · 16/07/2018 07:52

I had awful sickness since about 4 weeks, I was being sick everyday and some days it was most the day! But it's a actually got better the past few days... I'm still feeling sick but haven't been throwing up, I'm 10 weeks now... so I believe there is hope it gets better! Hang in there xx

Baby160P · 16/07/2018 07:53

@powkin I'm 8 weeks today too and have that exact same feeling! Although can't stomach big meals as the hunger soon turns to nausea

AliceRR · 16/07/2018 09:15

Having a nightmare this morning as (stupidly) I cannot find my letter confirmation of my booking in appointment which is at 10:30 today but I don’t know where it is! I know the general area so hoping there are only a couple of surgeries it could be as I cannot get through on the general midwives number I have 🙄

I would be so annoyed if I couldn’t make it to my appointment!

AliceRR · 16/07/2018 09:39

I have found my letter! Thank goodness.

I am registered with Bradford as that’s where we live (but close to Leeds and we both work in Leeds). I am wondering whether to mention today that I want to have my baby in Leeds. It would actually be handy to have first scan on Leeds as it is close to DH’s and my work (we are trying not to tell our employees yet so going for scan in Leeds would probably mean we don’t even have to take time off) but I don’t want to delay my first scan too much as I am 10 week’s today and don’t have a scan appointment yet

@powkin @Baby160P I get that intense hunger feeling even after eating and it makes me feel sick. It’s horrible. I was trying to remember whether I felt like that before I got pregnant but I don’t think I did. It like intense hunger pangs and then I don’t know if I’m hungry or have trapped wind!
