Part 3 already! And there is a split in the group. Hopefully everyone joins on this one. Shall we try and get a list of due dates going? I'm also interested to know where people live if they'd like to share. Not sure what other info would be needed. Also if anyone wants to join the fb group let me know.

I had my bloods done at my booking appointment (and urine sample). Didn’t bring my partner but I think it’s fine to. I’ve just read something saying your partner may be asked to leave the room for 15 mins while they ask if you feel safe at home etc but I guess that may not always happen. I think it’s fine either way, anyway.

thismeansnothing · 09/07/2018 22:28

@mrscooper13 I didn't take my DH to my booking appointment for DD. But he's coming this time as there's alot going on with his health that he is best explaining. And also going through DDs birth I don't remember much of it so he will be able to explain what the hell went on. If it weren't for that I wouldn't bother as it's mainly bloods, urine n form filling.

So sorry to hear your update @Bluebeee. Hope you are surrounded by supportive people in real life ThanksThanks

Cheery1 · 09/07/2018 23:45

@since2016 - sounds very similar...I’m pretty apprehensive tbh but I know what you mean about it being familiar. Also, we all got to go home okay so I will be forever grateful for that.

@lanalawr - hello! I remember your name too! I’m on the fb group but hardly, I’m a very reluctant fb user tbh. Hope all is well with you x

@DryIce - hey virtual neigbour! I didn’t get midwife consistency but all the midwives I had were great. There’s a scheme at Whipps with their community team that you can get the same mw throughout - it does depend on having an uncomplicated pregnancy which I doubt due to my history and great age would apply to me alas. Worth a look though maybe x

UndercoverLauren · 10/07/2018 08:29

I thought the midwife would think it's odd that my partner will be with me, but it sounds like it's very common.
Will they do a smear test or anything? In other words should I make the effort to wear decent knickers?!

smellsofelderberries · 10/07/2018 08:35

First day in a long time here without any blood or brown discharge 🎉 long may it continue!!

So many Londoners here! I am returning to the hospital where I had DD for this one too, and am 90% I will be asking for a section. All my girlfriends here say they were in for 5 nights for their sections but they were private so I'm hoping that's not the case for me! Those of you who had sections, how long were you in hospital for?

@FrowningFlamingo where in Woolwich were you?! Our flat is there and we're moving back there about this time next year. Can't wait!

thismeansnothing · 10/07/2018 08:45

@undercoverlauren no no smear involved. Infact no internals during my ante natal care until I had a few sweeps

thismeansnothing · 10/07/2018 08:47

@smellsofelderberries DD was a crash section so not exactly the norm and I was in for 7 days. But those that i saw come in for planned sections were only in for one night. Two tops.

Today is my sickie from work in 14 months, thankfully I had to tell my line manager early due to my fainting risk.
Had a rough day yesterday with symptoms and cramps was awake from 11ish til 4am this morning. Currently I can't really stand up without the room spinning not sure if the tiredness is making it worse.

Alicejj8x · 10/07/2018 09:02

Hello everyone. Just wondered if anyone could help or if anyone has the same
Problem

I'm
Around 7 weeks atm and this morning I've had abit of Diarrhea and felt abit sick with it and the tiniest bit of sick did come up to. ( sorry tmi) I've googled and it said it's normal for the 7 week mark? But just wondered if any of you have had this? My tummy felt really sore earlier and then I knew I just needed to go to the toilet but since then it feels better i just feel absolutely exhausted.

Thanks :)

maxiflump1 · 10/07/2018 09:24

@UndercoverLauren as a pp no need to wear decent knickers! Generally you don't have any internal examinations until you give birth or are late and they give you a sweep. And I didn't take my DH to either of my booking appointments as I know his family history Etc.

petitfilous1 · 10/07/2018 09:25

Hi @Alicejj8x - I haven’t actually been sick but I had nausea and diarrhoea from the 7 week mark too - followed by constipation actually! Sounds perfectly normal to me Smile

maxiflump1 · 10/07/2018 09:27

@Alicejj8x I'm sure it's nothing to worry about. I think this heat plays havoc with your tummy whether your pregnant or not. I'n my first pregnancy I had a horrendous sickness and diarrhoea bug and couldn't keep any food down for ; days but baby was fine.

Notquiteagandt · 10/07/2018 09:40

@Alicejj8x diarrhoea is normal as your hormones play havic with your stomach.

Id just monitor it. And take extra fluids in.

Between HG and a bad stomach I feel like ive spent 75% of this pregnancy in the bathroom or on bathroom floor Blush

Babybeany · 10/07/2018 09:44

Morning mummies, I have posted this a couple of times but I am so nervous! All of my symptoms are gone! I had diarrhoea last night after my dinner and was tired... however that could’ve been the heat couldn’t it? We mmc’d last year and I am so scared of it happening again! I’m not sure if my nips are tender or if I am convincing myself that they are. We really can’t afford a private scan this month. Does anyone know any stats about mmc? Or have any friendly words of wisdom? I have been googling for about 2 hours now! 😔

Notquiteagandt · 10/07/2018 09:54

@Babybeany diarrhoea & tiredness are symptoms in themselves. How far gone are you? Once placenta starts to take over symptoms can lessen.

I have had a MMC myself so know how horrible it is. I just keep telling myself they are so rare that once was unlucky enough the likelyhood of it happening again would be so small.

Maybe speak to your midwife and really play on the anixity thing. She might be able to sort something 😊

Since2016 · 10/07/2018 09:58

@Cheery1 me too - I still hate walking past the NICU although I am so grateful. I'm having a lot of extra monitoring though so that will be reassuring at least!

@smellsofelderberries I was in for a week with DD BUT it was an EMCS and she was in NICU. I'm fully expecting to go home after 1/2 nights. I had a private room last time (they took pity on me) but there's no way I'm spending longer than that on an open ward and I'd rather be at home. I recovered v quickly last time so hoping it's even easier this time.

Alicejj8x · 10/07/2018 10:01

Thank you everyone. It only happened the once atm anyway :) just on the way to the shops to get some drinks as the thought of water atm isn't doing it for me :) does sounds fairly common for 7 weeks also.

@Babybeany I know exactly how you feel hun I had a mmc in 2016 then another mmc in March this year. Then fell preg pretty fast after the mmc. Every little thing is panicking me like you wouldn't believe. My symptoms went away for about 4-5 days and whilst the nausea hasn't really come back the tiredness is defo back with a vengeance.
We have a scan tmo as I'm with fertility clinic they scan you every 2 weeks till around 9 weeks which is nice but then worrying st the same time.
I've spent s
Lot of time if here reading and it's perfectly normal to have no symptoms at all or disappearing symptoms are also normal. My boobs defo don't hurt as much anymore but I'm sure it's normal and all part of this process.

How far along are you? I no the placenta starts taking over and symptom then can fade? X

twiglet · 10/07/2018 10:05

@babybeany I second calling your midwife, explain the past situation and that your symptoms have gone (although I also agree that they are still there just lessened but make a worse case to the mw). Explain its very very stressful due to previous and see if they will give you an epu referral. If it's a GP only referral then make an emergency appointment with them. Lay it on thick for your own sanity.
Usually I wouldn't say that but people who push do seem to get their own way, GPs also don't like crying...... Or at least mine doesn't

Babybeany · 10/07/2018 10:11

Thanks @Notquiteagandt and @Alicejj8x I am 8+1 and just so anxious! I haven’t had my mw appointment yet so I don’t really know who to call? My gp wasn’t very helpful when I spoke about my concerns a couple of weeks ago. He just said that a scan won’t prevent anything from going wrong! Which I know is true, but not particularly something I wanted to hear. I just don’t want to get to my 12-13 week scan and find out baby stopped growing weeks before. 😕

Babybeany · 10/07/2018 10:13

Thanks @Twiglet I didn’t see your message until after I posted my previous. I’m just not sure who to call... I don’t have a mw yet and my gp is a bit of a wanker! 🤭

twiglet · 10/07/2018 10:15

@babybeany go back to the gp and push them. Explain it is effecting your mental health (anxiety is a real mental illness), cry and explain you can't take weeks of not knowing (maybe see a different gp too).

Since2016 · 10/07/2018 10:18

Agree with PP @Babybeany push your GP for a referral to EPU if you can't self refer. Stress is bad for the baby and it's unfair to expect you to continue in limbo.

Obviously you will need to try to manage anxiety around it but I agree a scan will help settle you for now.

I've now been to EPU 3 times for bleeding and they couldn't have been nicer, told me to come back if I needed more reassurance. They'll be fine once you're there I promise x

Babybeany · 10/07/2018 10:19

@Twiglet thank you. I normally cry when I scared anyway so tears will probably be real! 🤣

Babybeany · 10/07/2018 10:20

@Since2016 I think everyone is right! I will give my practice a call and see what they can offer. Thank you for replying x
