Part 3 already! And there is a split in the group. Hopefully everyone joins on this one. Shall we try and get a list of due dates going? I'm also interested to know where people live if they'd like to share. Not sure what other info would be needed. Also if anyone wants to join the fb group let me know.

Lots of love @Kintan sorry to hear and best wishes xxxx

hayley013 · 09/07/2018 16:21

I've just been so tired today, could have easily slept all day but didn't sleep last night with heat. Also glad that third trimester will be in the winter xx

Yakadee · 09/07/2018 16:23

@Kintan - really sorry to hear that. Hope you're both OK and good luck for the future xx

AliceRR · 09/07/2018 16:26

Random but I was really excited to have some Ribena earlier but it tasted funny! It tasted weird when I had it a week or so as well 😕

Anyone else struggling to drink at the moment? I know I should be drinking but don’t fanxy water unless it’s really cold and even then I feel like it just makes me feel too ful or I get trapped wind or something. Trying not to drink fizzy / sugary stuff all the time... orange juice is ok but again not all the time 🤔

bubblybrit · 09/07/2018 16:28

@Kintan. So sorry to hear that. Good luck for the future xx

Leonora94 · 09/07/2018 16:29

@Kintan so sorry to hear your news, hope your both okay xx

AliceRR · 09/07/2018 16:33

So sorry Kirtan

AliceRR · 09/07/2018 16:35

Sounds sensible Hayley and Notquiteagant I felt it more than before on the weekend but I didn’t worry too much as it came and went in about 10 mins. Good to hear it’s normal! It hurts when I sneeze etc sometimes too but again just a short sharp pain that goes after a moment.

I have my first appointment on a Monday when I will be 10 weeks. Haven’t gone for an early scan so just looking forward to my 12 wk scan when hopefully we’ll be reassured everything is ok. The more time that passes the more reassured I feel. I haven’t had any spotting or anything to suggest all is not ok but you just don’t know.

A friend of mine “reminded” me at lunch today that chance of miscarriage is 1 in 3 before 12 weeks which was not helpful. I said not at 9 week’s though! I believe that statistic includes really early pregnancies... anyway I don’t believe he was trying to worry me. His wife is about 4 months pregnant...

Notquiteagandt · 09/07/2018 16:36

@Kintan there are no words but sending you some love. Hope you are being well looked after xx

@AliceRR Ribenna is horrid now. Full of sweeteners. So not your taste buds being werid. Thanks alot Jamie Oliver.

@hayley013 that is interesting to know about low BMI being consultant led. I am currently at 17 thank you HG. And the consultant ive been under for it kept going on about it. My size and build, that I was loosing weight etc.
But I was too ill to really register what was going on. Surpose I should half exspect the same now.
Gutted as I really loved the thought of our local midwife led birthing centre.

Alicejj8x · 09/07/2018 16:36

@Kintan so so sorry to hear

hayley013 · 09/07/2018 16:48

Yep I get the pain with sneezing too @AliceRR or if I stand up quickly. I also had a taste of Ribena and it tasted like metal, very odd, I've been really thirsty so either drinking water or put a little dilute juice into water, I find ice helps. I've not had an early scan either so really looking forward to 12w one xx

@Notquiteagandt yeah my midwife said usually borderline is 18 or 18.5 for BMI, which i has read, I tried to get it upto that but unfortunately couldn't due to similar to yourself, not wanting to eat much mainly. I'm not worried as was same with dd and she was born 7lb 12 and I managed to gain 3 stone by 40 weeks haha xx

hayley013 · 09/07/2018 16:49

Oh and mine was sitting at 17.2 at book in @Notquiteagandt so I'd imagine you'll be cons led too xx

ronniemipperton · 09/07/2018 16:56

So sorry for your loss @kintan Flowers

Cheery1 · 09/07/2018 17:08

@kintan so sorry, heartbreaking for you. Look after yourself and all good luck for the future xxx

UndercoverLauren · 09/07/2018 17:13

@kintan I'm so sorry. All the best for the future x

thismeansnothing · 09/07/2018 17:46

That was quick. Only self referred on Tuesday but got my green notes and a mw appointment for a week Friday. I'll only be 7+3 they nor ally see you at ten weeks here so Hoping I can get an early scan from that appointment...epu where I am is a nightmare cos it's GP referral only. As I discovered when I had the nerve to have a miscarriage on a Sunday. How inconsiderate of me 😂

thismeansnothing · 09/07/2018 17:59

Sorry for your loss @kintan ♥️

DragonFlew · 09/07/2018 18:16

@thismeansnothing I'm 7+1 today and haven't booked a mw appt yet. I was going to wait until 9-10 weeks, although I remember going at 9 weeks with DS2 and she told me off for leaving it so late! In my area it's not a full appt it's just introductions and getting green notes. And then at about 11w they home visit to take bloods etc. I'm going to ask if I can come to her instead as we are trying to hide it from DS1 until the 12w scan! He might get suspicious otherwise! 😂

What gestation are others making their first booking appt?

DragonFlew · 09/07/2018 18:17

So sorry @kintan. Thinking of you Flowers

Cheery1 · 09/07/2018 18:21

@powkin - Homerton were amazing with my DS, I’m the same in that I wouldn’t feel comfortable going elsewhere. Still doesn’t feel real thought tbh.

@dragonflew - my booking in was at 9 weeks, after GP referral at 6 weeks. It’s so busy here in London I think you have to refer early else you don’t get in!

maxiflump1 · 09/07/2018 18:33

So so sorry to hear this @Kintan. I'm glad you are managing to stay positive and hope you and your little family are ok.

How are you doing @Fredthespider? Did you go to EPU in the end? x

Since2016 · 09/07/2018 18:37

Oh @Kintan so sorry for your loss that's heartbreaking. Hope you're ok and have lots of support.

I've been a bit absent as after my bleed and scan on Friday I had a scary amount of bleeding - think red toilet and gushing on Friday night and if it wasn't for the vomiting I'd have convinced myself I was miscarrying. MW today and another EPU appt - all fine! But I will probably bleed again - they've said to just come back if I need reassurance. Absolutely amazing.

Midwife is lovely - although because of my horrendous birth with DD I am having a ridiculous amount of extra monitoring; growth scans, cervical length (history) and a foetal heart scan at GOSH (DD was born with a murmur and had an op at 6 months). I've also got my ELCS no questions asked (39 weeks) and a referral for birth reflections service as they think I haven't processed it still and had undiagnosed PND. So a lot really.

But generally just happy baby is still hanging in there and haematoma is still small.

Hope everyone coping in the heat - it's so grim when nausea.

I referred at 6 weeks, appt at 7.5/8.5 weeks depending on scan. Whittington london.

DryIce · 09/07/2018 18:38

@powkin @Camsie30 @Cheery1

This is so topical for me - I have my doctor's apt on Wednesday and they're going to ask which hospital. I went to Whipps last time, and they were fine. I was thinking of Homerton this time - do you think it's better?

Camsie30 · 09/07/2018 18:39

@Cheery1 I'm closer to whipps too! Where abouts are you? I'm in Wanstead.
The Homerton were amazing although annoyingly I had a call from them this morning asking where I was for my booking appt, I was on the tube to work as I hadn't received the letter!!

Since2016 · 09/07/2018 18:49

Just reading through @Fredthespider and @DollyDaydreamz I've had bleeding several times now and 3 (I know) scans in EPU - I have a haematoma and apparently it's v common and can cause bleeding. Occasional bleeding is quite common and shouldn't cause alarm but I'd advocate getting seen in your local EPU if you can walk in c
