Rant alert 🚨
So you may remember me ranting about the neighbours and the fact their behaviour verges on deserving an ASBO: loud music, loud arguing and drilling/banging at 1am.. oh and another one of letting their car out on the roof (that's next to my bedroom window at 3am and allowing it to meow until 5am) 😑
Well had a knock on the door about 15 minutes ago by said neighbour saying their WIFI was playing up.. and could he please have out WiFi code and use ours until there's is sorted.. am I on another planet or what? OH just stared at him and gave him a blunt no, sorry. I cannot believe the gall these guys have.. so now I am sat here irrationally, hormonally seething at them.. again!

Stephisaur · 25/07/2018 21:34

They sound like proper weirdos gemsie!

December2018 · 25/07/2018 22:06

Haha anyone that lets their car out the roof sounds pretty insane to me! 😜

... the cheek of asking to use your WiFi tho!
Not like they are paying your bill or anything... pffttt! So annoying! Especially in this heat! It just amplified the annoyances Dosent it
My neighbours on one side are Portuguese (lovely family) but they have some strange ritualistic food preparation habits!... they smoke fish in their shed (like the drying out kind of smoke) 😂
And I've got a fabric sofa and the smell has wafted thru my window and my living room smells like fish arseholes!! It's vile!
..... rant over! Lol

balalalala · 26/07/2018 07:31

Lovely woofers! Be warned, my dd's first word was the dog's name and the first time she said I love you was also to the dog...
Sorry to hear a few of you are feeling poorly or struggling with neighbours.

RomPom · 26/07/2018 14:47

It's so awful having bad neighbours. I used to live in a flat and the upstairs neighbour was always either playing loud music or having noisy sex. Just awful. We don't have any neighbours now and it's bliss!

MagicalCreatures · 26/07/2018 17:02

😂 our next door neighbour (the one that smokes and it lingers in the hallway) was rather enjoying herself the other night.
My OH ordered himself a curry and when he opened the door, the delivery woman was sniggering. She couldn’t get away fast enough. When she left, my OH quietly called me to the door and all we could hear was loud (really loud) gasps and groans. Couldn’t hear a blokes voice though 😳😂

Anyway, I think I’ve had my first proper movements!!!!
I’m 18 weeks today and last night went for a long walk. When we got back I was feeling around my tummy and I swear I got the littlest kick.
And this afternoon, I’m sitting in the sofa and I’ve just got constant (what feels like) large bubbles rolling in my belly and then popping. It’s amazing x

Magical... that's bloody hilarious 😂😂
Awww yeah that sure sounds like baby!
It's awesome isn't it! I can't wait to feel the propper elbows in the ribs and legs all over the place! 💙💙

applesauce1 · 26/07/2018 18:06

@MagicalCreatures that's so funny!! I wouldn't be able to make eye contact with them again!

Is anyone else feeling absolutely exhausted? I feel worse than I did in the first trimester. It gets to about 2pm and I feel like I'm walking through mud and need a nap. Thank god I'm on holiday and I can have half an hour sleep... I'm getting really annoyed with myself as I feel like I've failed in my day unless I've been really productive and I'm not getting as much done as I want. Many fail days.
My midwife said my iron levels were low in my last test (thanks for telling me!) and that I should eat more red meat and leafy greens.

Nearly bought steak for supper tonight but then remembered that steak needs to be well cooked in pregnancy and I don't see the point in eating steak unless I can have it rare or blue 🥩 !

AGirlinLondon · 26/07/2018 18:36

Hey @applesauce I bet lots of ladies on here can sympathise! I’m dreaming about it raining and cooling down. Have also massively recalibrated what ‘success’ looks like in a day - no longer feel the need to get everything done and have made my peace with it x

balalalala · 26/07/2018 19:40

I definitely felt worse around weeks 16-20 but it's picking up a bit again now and I feel less done in. Just enough time to adjust before it crashes again for the third trimester!

Gemsie1984 · 26/07/2018 19:41

Had a joint respiratory/cardiac consultation today. Seems my respiratory function is sub par and I'm hypoxaemic, which is only going to worsen as bubs gets bigger. My recent sleep study showed my saturation's dipped to 68%! They seem to think it could be cardiac in origin so had an echocardiogram today, report still pending. The long and short is that they've said they won't allow me to go to term. They want to know how his growth is at his anomaly scan. I'm praying that my lungs and heart behave so I can get him to 30 weeks at least.. absolutely shit day..

kaytees · 26/07/2018 20:11

@Gemsie1984 that is horrific. I am so, so sorry you're having to go through it and needing to wait for answers. Shit day doesn't really cover it! If there is anything at all we can do, just let us know xx

December2018 · 26/07/2018 20:26

Gemsie I'm so sorry babe that does sound horrid!
I have no words but I just want to give you a big bump hug 💐💐 xxxx

RomPom · 26/07/2018 20:48

@Gemsie1984 So sorry you're going through this, it sounds awful. Thinking of you Thanks

balalalala · 26/07/2018 21:00

You poor thing! Fingers crossed you get as far as you possibly can.

emwithme · 26/07/2018 21:45

Gemsie That's so scary. Hopefully you can keep him baking for as long as it's safe to do so.

WhatAnAbsolutePenis · 26/07/2018 22:47

Gemsie - CPAP machine for night?

68% you must be really concerned. If one of our patients dropped to 68% there would be massive alarm bells.
Do you know how long you desat for?
Sorry you’re going through this, you must be really worried. Flowers

MagicalCreatures · 26/07/2018 22:52

@Gemsie1984 hang in there hun and keep that bubba brewing as long as you can. You can do this!!! X x x

Gemsie1984 · 26/07/2018 23:12

@WhatAnAbsolutePenis yeah it's very scary. I was shown the trace today and they were true desats as my HR spiked when I desatted. My baseline for the night continuously was 88%- my HR was as high as the 160's although I don't recall this. I wore the holster for five hours and it happened 7 times, so roughly every 45 minutes or so. My ambulatory saturation was 90% today which they were not happy with at all. The sleep study was initially for sleep apnoea but my results weren't indicative of this so that's why they're leaning down the route of pulmonary hypertension (which would be a disaster) or some yet undiagnosed cardiac abnormality - I do have a few tacharryrhmias so this wouldn't surprise me too much. The tech that did the echocardiogram said that I don't have the classic tell-tale signs of valve regurgitation that is a marker for PH, so fingers crossed it isn't. Next stage is waiting for Jack's anomaly scan, making sure his weight is okay and then a chest CT to look into greater detail into my lungs. Both consultants were concerned about my prognosis more than anything else but I'll just have to fight to keep him in there, but I think it will be a fine line weighing up my health against his continued growth. I just hope he doesn't have any anomalies that would slow his growth.. thanks so much for all the support.. I've been at my wits end in all honesty and playing it down to OH at the moment as I don't want to worry her too much.. not a day I needed after a night of no sleep last night!

WhatAnAbsolutePenis · 27/07/2018 07:44

You must be so worried. And understandably so.
When is the anomaly scan?

And these tests and study’s, are you having these right now because your pregnant? Or are you having these anyway and it just happens that you’re pregnant?

WhatAnAbsolutePenis · 27/07/2018 07:45

Also I do belong to this group I’m just on a namechange because I need advice on my husband who’s being an absolute penis.

Cakelaur · 27/07/2018 08:31

@Gemsie1984 I really hope they can find a way to regulate it all (not sure if that's an option it's all a little over my head) but I'm sorry you're going through this. As if the neighbours aren't enough!!!

@WhatAnAbsolutePenis what's hubby done?? If you're wanting to talk about it?

I feel like such a bad mum today... (a dog mum) my puppy had an op on his foot yesterday cos of a grass seed, and we got him home. All was fine. But it was so hot, I went to work and stole the air con. (He's a Saint Bernard so really struggles with the heat) anyway we Plugged it all in and headed off to bed. (The tube that vents the hot air was out through the cat flap) anyway came down this morning and my poor pup was practically cooked alive!! The vent had slipped out of the car flap into the kitchen so the whole room was about 30degrees!! It took me about an hour to cool him down slowly. I feel so bad. Thought we were doing the right thing and it totally backfired!! Guess we won't try that again!!

balalalala · 27/07/2018 08:36

Oh no! Poor pup! I hope he's doing OK now?
I feel like I've been coping quite well with the heat so far but last night tipped me over the edge! I ended up going to bed at 9.15 as I couldn't get comfy and woke up so much panicking about being so hot! Horrible. Then I've got my whooping cough vaccine this morning... Just keeps getting better lol!

WhatAnAbsolutePenis · 27/07/2018 08:44

Oh wow, we have heart problems, husband problem, puppy problems and heat/vaccination problems!
I hope things improve for us all.

Cakelaur it’s a bit long to go into on here but I’ve made a thread in AIBU if you wanted to see and I’m getting excellent advise on there. I bloody love Mumsnet.

SunshineSnowflakesDaydreams · 27/07/2018 09:27

My MIL arrives tonight for 2 weeks. The dread! Anyway we need to have a discussion around her thinking she's coming to stay with us for 2 whole months when this baby arrives, which we are also dreading!
Wish us luck!
