Hello all! I got my BFP this morning at 10dpo and am apparently due 1st March with my third baby. Now feeling that familiar paranoia about what might go wrong, but hopeful all will be well. Is anyone else due in March yet? 😬

@Wineandchoccy ahhh that's lovely!

SuperSharpShooter82 · 28/06/2018 22:10

@mostimproved whereabouts in London are you? Don't have to be too specific if it's outing with the other info you've given. I'm east, actually verging on Essex. Near the end of the central line.

mostimproved · 28/06/2018 22:22

@SuperSharpShooter82 if someone went through all my posts they could so easily out me if they wanted to. I'm in North East London so not too far from you, and we have the same due date as well!

thefirsttimer · 28/06/2018 23:14

Ooh lots of new, lovely March-ers tonight! Welcome all!

Great idea Wine Smile here goes:

Name: thefirsttimer
Age: 25
Location: NW
DC: First pregnancy! (Hence the name Grin)
EDD: 1st March

Bozley47 · 28/06/2018 23:29

Howdy howdy, have come over from other thread to this official one.

Name:Bozley47
Age: 33
Lozation: SW
DC: DDis 17 months and completely wild.
EDD: 3rd march

Possibly a couple of weeks out on dates due to long cycles, might be more pregnant than I think, first scan will be around when I think I'm 10weeks, and have booking appt next wed with midwife!

Murphyrocks · 29/06/2018 07:27

Welcome @Bozley47! Must be lovely down in the South West in this weather!

SuperSharpShooter82 · 29/06/2018 07:52

Wow - so many March-ers!

I almost threw up this morning. Will take that as a good sign.

I have also discovered a Clear Blue weeks test... god knows when from but it's in date... now trying to refrain from doing it. Never got a 3+ before and drove myself mad, even though I read they are notoriously inaccurate... still want to do it but know if I do and it's out I will end up buying more/freaking myself out...

Shampooeeee · 29/06/2018 07:56

I had to take a little break from this board. I’m not having many symptoms and was really worrying. Then I did a test and got a negative line, although the control didn’t work. I rushed out to buy a new test but the line was weak so I was still panicking.
Anyway, I’ve now done a Clearblue with weeks indicator and it came up 3+ so I’m going to try to stop testing and obsessing.
Welcome to all the newbies and congratulations!

Murphyrocks · 29/06/2018 08:12

@Shampooeeee hi welcome back! Glad all is hopefully OK. Know what you mean with the tests, I've been taking them each morning but does mean if I get a slightly weaker line (like this morning) I panic a little, even though I know it's probably just because the urine is more diluted or the test just doesn't show up as well as I'm using ic's! Fancy doing the roll call thing from last night?!

frankiefumbles · 29/06/2018 08:22

MN name frankiefumbles
Age 26. DH is 51. Know there are a few other couples with similar age gap.
Location SW
Number of children or 1st First child! But have DSS(8, biologically DHs) and DSD(14, not biologically DHs)
Due date ovulated June 9th...now coming up March 1st but sure it was coming up March 3rd before? Anyway. It's bound to be late (hubby is a Dr!)

Etc hmm. What else. I think everyone else has worked out I'm quite keen on doing active stuff. It would be interesting to see how others are keeping active and how they feel when they do. Also keen to keep on top of the situation with DSS and DSD, not going public yet but have told my parents and friend but not the in laws.

WildFlower2018 · 29/06/2018 08:28

@SuperSharpShooter82 I really want to go and get a few CB tests with the week by week indicator, just to "monitor" things but I feel like it might just turn me crazy obsessive!

@Shampooeeee whoa! Rollercoaster! Im so pleased everything is ok!

Murphyrocks · 29/06/2018 08:37

@frankiefumbles I'm generally a pretty active person too but tried to take it as easy as possible with last pg. I did pg yoga weekly and really enjoyed it so will do either that or pg pilates this time I think. And lots of walking!

RedRobin7 · 29/06/2018 08:40

@SuperSharpShooter82 I did a CB this morning and it's moved up to 2-3 weeks. I've run out now but think I'll buy one more to do next week to see that 3+. It's hard not to obsess!

@Shampooeeee Welcome back and pleased to hear that you got a 3+. Wonder how long it'll be until I get that number 🤔 We're all different so I'll try not to obsess I've not got to that yet!

Shampooeeee · 29/06/2018 08:40

Name: Shampooeeee
Age: 32 (DH is almost a decade older)
DC: 2 yo DS
Due date: 1st March by ov date
My location is very outing!

ladycarlotta · 29/06/2018 08:41

Hi all! I'm following the herd over from the other thread (which I'm also happy to keep alive)

MN name: ladycarlotta
Age: 30
Location: SW
DC: this would be our first
EDD: 2nd March

I'm desperately waiting for the midwife team to get back to me, as I just want to crack on with stuff. I've had a couple of miscarriages in the past (practically a different life) so am extra worried about this one, but everything seems to be good so far, if you can call nausea, food aversions, tiredness and 6am wake-ups 'good', which for the first time in my life I do.

Great to be in touch with you all. I'm starting to allow myself to feel excited for March!

Shampooeeee · 29/06/2018 08:41

Frankie I did a lot of hiking when I was pregnant with DS. Keen to keep active this time too.

SuperSharpShooter82 · 29/06/2018 09:09

@RedRobin7 how many weeks do you think you are? I am 5 today and did the CB and got 2-3 so actually it's probably right. I also took it apart and the test line was way darker than the control line Smile I have no more tests now so plan on leaving it until my scan in two weeks time. Petrified.

@Shampooeeee that sounds super stressful but I hope the elusive 3+ has given you confidence! I read so much on those tests last time and apparently not many people get that result!

Welcome all newbies!

Murphyrocks · 29/06/2018 09:33

Hi @ladycarlotta, welcome to the March-ers! Fx all will be well for you.

@Shampooeeee your stats are very similar to mine! I've just turned 33 (will still be 33 when dc#2 is born), DS just turned 2 and DH is 42 :) No worries on location, can keep it to yourself if you prefer!

thefirsttimer · 29/06/2018 10:00

Welcome back Shampooeeee - definitely a good idea to step away from the tests now! Easier said than done though I know 😬. Glad you got the 3+ reading!

Frankie my DH is also a doctor, always good to 'meet' other DWAGs as I say Grin

Bozley I also have my booking in appointment on Wednesday! I was concerned it was going to be too early, but spoke to my friend who is also pregnant and hers was around the same time. So it must just be how they do things around here.

RedRobin7 · 29/06/2018 10:34

@SuperSharpShooter82 I guess it's right as I'm now either 5 weeks today or 5+1 so probably shouldn't worry. My friend who is a week behind though has already got 2-3 today as well so everyone is different!

ladycarlotta · 29/06/2018 10:49

Thanks guys! I am going to ask an inelegant question - anyone else having trouble, erm, keeping regular? The first week after bfp my bowels were fine, but I've definitely noticed myself becoming more gassy and constipated in the last few days. I'm drinking loads of water and eating veg, just wondered if there's anything else I could/should be doing.

Murphyrocks · 29/06/2018 11:09

@ladycarlotta that's what the group is for! Your body slows digestion down when pg to give you extra time to absorb as many nutrients as possible, which means more time for gas to build up and things tend to be a bit slower! I'm getting the former but not the latter so far. Are you taking an iron supplement yet? Often that can contribute and I've heard if you take it at night rather than the morning it can help? I also found increasing insoluble fibre helped move things along first time around, so things like avocado, whole grain, beans/seeds etc.

Hope that helps!

ladycarlotta · 29/06/2018 11:11

thanks @MurphyRocks, that's really helpful. I'm not taking an iron supplement - was unsure if I needed one - but that's really useful to know about the insoluble fibre. Luckily have got some avocados in anyway, and I'll go heavier on the beans and so forth when I feel up to it.

Murphyrocks · 29/06/2018 11:19

No worries @ladycarlotta, I ate loads of avocadoes last time as they have a bunch of really good stuff for pg as well as more fibre than almost anything else. Flaxseeds are great too but I think you need to break them down to absorb them properly, so either buy them milled or add to homemade soup/smoothie.

Iron supplement is a personal call but it may well be worth looking into later in the pg - lots of women become deficient as baby takes more!

RedRobin7 · 29/06/2018 11:50

Uh oh. I think I'm going off tea. I've switched completely to decaf which I usually drink in the evenings anyway but both cups I had this morning tasted horrible. They just tasted like off milk but my milk isn't off! Any suggestions what might be nice to drink? Water all day is boring. I've heard mixed reviews about herbal drinks as there's not much research on them.

I've just asked my DH to go get me some halloumi as I'm really craving some but hope it's not a disappointment when I have it!
