Hello all! I got my BFP this morning at 10dpo and am apparently due 1st March with my third baby. Now feeling that familiar paranoia about what might go wrong, but hopeful all will be well. Is anyone else due in March yet? 😬

@frankiefumbles ... I've managed to go all out and get tonsillitis. Thought it was just hayfever to start with but it just kept getting worse. Trying not to complain too much 🙈

frankiefumbles · 30/06/2018 07:00

Oh god, complain like mad! Tonsillitis is bad enough on its own, never mind with the bonus symptoms we are getting at the moment. I hope mine doesn't go to tonsillitis as I've been a bit prone over the last few years . I also hope you've had tonsillitis before because the first one can be the worst.

TheWanderlust · 30/06/2018 07:34

@frankiefumbles I'm a pro at tonsillitis ... it catches up with me at least once or twice a year.

Have to say, was not expecting so many symptoms so soon!

Murphyrocks · 30/06/2018 07:43

Welcome @KneesupGaston and congratulations! Glad torre more relaxed this time, if anything I'm finding I'm more stressed this time around as I know our odds of mc is higher now dh is over 40! Still checking bbt and hcg each morning 😲

@Shampooeeee stat twins! That was saying about being alternately starving and nauseous, although my nausea has abated the last couple of days which obviously has me worried something is wrong! Just trying to make the most of it and eat lots of good food while I can though. Am finding cooking a big dish of something easily reheatable (pasta, omelette, quinoa salad etc) works quite well as I can then just reheat a pori ion and have food in less than 5 minutes before my appetite can change its mind!

@ladycarlotta yes you can have as many scans as you want done privately if you're willing to pay for them! There's plenty companies that offer them. I've booked a viability scan for 8 weeks as they should be able to detect a heartbeat by then, at which point the risk of mc drops to 2%, which hopefully will put my mind at ease a little!

@mostimproved I lived in Newington Green for years! Grew up in London but moved up to Leeds for uni.

Murphyrocks · 30/06/2018 07:46

@frankiefumbles YES!!! I've had awful cold symptoms since finding out I'm pg - thought it was hay fever since I'm no longer taking hay fever meds, which probably isn't helping, but pretty sure there's a cold happening too. I think it's quite a common symptom in early pg?

RedRobin7 · 30/06/2018 07:53

@KneesupGaston Welcome! I'm going to think of Ben & Holly every time I see your name. I don't really have any symptoms either, other than going to the loo a lot but that could also be the amount of water I'm drinking. No sore boobs yet but nipples have grown! I'm also definitely overeating rather than under. No loss of appetite yet. I am possibly going off tea though.

@frankiefumbles @TheWanderlust Sorry to hear you're both feeling unwell. Hope the cold/tonsillitis clears up quickly.

We are telling family this weekend. Off to see my sister and her family today to tell them. She's two days overdue - i'm so excited to meet my nephew! Tomorrow we are off to a family bbq so will tell parents and my brother's family then. We aren't excited yet which sounds bad but we still want our immediate family to know in case things go wrong again. I'm really not bothered when my DH tells the in-laws 😂

TheWanderlust · 30/06/2018 08:06

@RedRobin7 you're so brave telling family so soon. I'm so nervous about telling anyone - quite liking that we have a secret between the two of us that nobody else knows about.

Sounds like you've got perfect opportunities this weekend though ☀️ hope your family will all be thrilled for you x

thefirsttimer · 30/06/2018 08:22

Frankie count me in too on the cold front! I was sneezing yesterday and put it down to hayfever - but have woken up today with the full blown snivels! I read it's common due to having a suppressed immune system during early pregnancy!

puravida31 · 30/06/2018 08:52

Yep full of cold here as well! Came down with it yesterday, talk about kick you when you’re down!
@thefirsttimer that makes sense, thought it was bad luck but sounds like I can blame it on being upduffed then!

Murphyrocks · 30/06/2018 09:09

@RedRobin7 it is a lot I agree, but that support network of 8 local Mum's having babies within a couple of months of each other and living within a couple of miles was invaluable in the early days! Plus a lot of us are now having #2 which is pretty cool. If you decide against it I'd definitely recommend attempting some baby and toddler groups early on to meet some Mummy/Daddy mates!

Wineandchoccy · 30/06/2018 10:05

Just done another ic it’s a very dark line now Smile

RedRobin7 · 30/06/2018 10:26

@Murphyrocks To be honest I probably would be persuaded that it's a good thing to do and worth the money. My DH on the other hand is very tight with money and he hates socialising so it would probably take a lot to convince him!

@Wineandchoccy Wow that's great! I have never seen a dark line on an IC! I actually hate them as they've given me negatives when I have had a positive on other tests!

Murphyrocks · 30/06/2018 10:27

@Wineandchoccy nice line! I did one this morning too, this is my progress over the last week with this morning's in the bottom right corner. 😀

Murphyrocks · 30/06/2018 10:30

@RedRobin7 yes same with us! I managed to persuade dh and it really was worth it but it took several weeks! Yeah ic's are much less sensitive that say frer, the picture at the top left is from the same day and you can see how much stronger the frer is than the ic, but as the ic's are less sensitive I find them good for monitoring rising hcg levels 😊

Wineandchoccy · 30/06/2018 11:36

Murphyrocks it’s great to see the lines darkening each time Smile

firsttimenerves · 30/06/2018 12:01

Uck sorry to hear about the colds / tonsillitis, that is just not what anyone needs.

Having never slept in later than 8am, I am finding myself completely exhausted. I got up at 7, but have been sleeping in front of Friends all morning! It's like being 18 again and being hungover! Anyone else enjoying this particular symptom?

puravida31 · 30/06/2018 12:14

Fabulous lines ladies!

@firsttimenerves yes! This seems to be the main symptom I’m getting at the mo. Wide awake at stupid o clock in the morning & then completely exhausted most the afternoon / evening.

WildFlower2018 · 30/06/2018 12:50

"Wide awake at stupid o clock in the morning & then completely exhausted most the afternoon / evening."

Omg that's me too. I wanted to do some fun stuff today but I just feel so knackered!

mostimproved · 30/06/2018 13:05

I'm also so tired, just had a nap and am now taking my DS to the school summer fair but already fantasising about another nap afterwards! I had a blood test last week to check my thyroid and should get the results tomorrow so it may well be that I need to increase my thyroid medication. I agree it's a bit like having a hangover but without the alcohol!

We have been planning to tell my dad this afternoon as we are going to his house for the night, but yesterday my SIL, who I work with, said she will be there as well. I don't want to be discussing it around her as I'm not ready to tell work yet and I don't think she can keep a secret!

frankiefumbles · 30/06/2018 14:47

What's everything thinking about bras? I literally can't get mine on. I'm usually a DD and now I reckon I'm back in the realms of and E/F because my cups overfloweth. It's like my boobs used to be when I first had them! I'm in the realms of having to get something from Bravissimo but it's going to cost me. Hubby reckons they haven't finished expanding (oh god).

For those of you with previous experience, is it worth me getting a new bra now or am I going to be wasting my money?

frankiefumbles · 30/06/2018 14:48

*wasting my money and better off waiting a few more weeks and just managing until then

Emmafh3 · 30/06/2018 15:14

I'd say get one and hand wash it if you don't wash everything else enough. If you need more in a month and you've grown then you haven't wasted a whole ton.
Mine grow humongous then went back to dd then when my milk came in got huge again for a while until my milk supply settled into a rhythm. Now I can't even remember what perky full big boobs look like 😭

Murphyrocks · 30/06/2018 15:17

@frankiefumbles I had that with ds but hasn't happened this time around yet, I went and got properly measured but just bought 1 bra, because I expanded each trimester so ended up with maternity bras in 3 different cup sizes, then went up another size when my milk came in, up 5 cup sizes in all! Definitely worth getting one that fits properly because it's agony otherwise, and personally I'd steer clear of anything underwired! I found a local independent place in Leeds which was excellent.

Emmafh3 · 30/06/2018 15:23

Anybody actually strongly positive pregnant and hasn't got any symptoms yet?
I'm not sure how many weeks because I've conceived right after a mc, somewhere between 2 and 5weeks

RedRobin7 · 30/06/2018 15:44

@frankiefumbles I don't have these issues with my little B cups 😂😂

@Emmafh3 Me! Wish I had symptoms so I could be reassured! Just going to the loo lots and waking early, that's it!
