Annobal - sorry to read you've been having a rotten time.

natty - lovely blog, Thomas is very cute!

My ten things I'm looking fwd to :
1)Seeing dd with the baby
2)little wiggly fingers and toes (dh's contribution)
3)Bfing again (providing it works out)
4)That milky smell that new babies have.
5)Seeing dh with the new baby - he's 6'5" tall so the size diff is striking and he's daft when it comes to wee ones.
6)Grandparents arriving to help out - dd adores them and they'll be great at helping her adjust and are very thoughtful.
7)Stilton, red wine and prawns.
8)No creaking pelvis, backache or heartburn!
9)Being able to jump around with dd again - once the pelvic floor etc has recovered.
10)Having new photos in the family album and swapping over some of the curent ones we have up for ones of the 4 of us.

Must head to bed soon - wish you lot would slow down a bit I really can't keep up, but nice to see such a friendly, chatty thread x

Twiga · 14/05/2007 22:26

Oh, while I'm thinking about it, can anyone remember when it is that you can take raspberry leaf tabs/tea from? I'm having a go with anything that I think might help me with my VBAC and I've stocked up on some raspbery leaf tabs from H&B.

riabutterflew · 14/05/2007 22:27

Hi all, sorry I'm so late in arriving. Taken ages to catch up.

Today I am not a nice wife, I am a nasty, evil and ungrateful bitch (but I aren't brave enough to let it out!). DH was off work today, only 1 day off again this week. I am in a fret because this baby could be here any time in the next five weeks and instead of getting on with stuff he decides we are gong to have a day out, so that now leaves me another week of trying to get things done by myself. It was lovely of him to take us out and make the picnic etc, but I NEED him to help me and stop thinking it will all be a big joke if LO is early like the other two.

hollyandalice · 14/05/2007 22:29

Just got dp to look at my leg and it has gone right down since putting my legs up! Derlor you are super !

riabutterflew · 14/05/2007 22:32

I have to say a big happy thank you to my secret showeree. So, Thank You for such a lovely gift. I love little snuggly bath wraps with hoods but would never have bought one myself, and the smellies are gorgeous. I love the proverby-thing about the elephant too.

THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU!!!!!!!!

Will have to find the thread now...

derlor · 14/05/2007 22:32

Hi Twiga - good list
Holly - FAB
Ria - SHITEYARSEYWANKYTWUNTYAAAAAARRRRRRRRRGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHHH - has that helped???????

daisybump · 14/05/2007 22:33

Twiga.....you should be OK with the RLT from 36 weeks, but the tabs I bought the other day just said Do not use before 30 weeks of PG, whihc I took to mean they were safe from 30 weeks.
I was also hoping for a VBAC....but the closer it gets, the more the thought of a c-section appeals . I'm seeing the consultant on Wednesday to discuss my options.

Yes, I know I'm still here....just scouting the behaviour threads for some top tips for dealing with DS!

hollyandalice · 14/05/2007 22:34

35 weeks I think for the RLT, that's what it says on my packet.

Ria don't panic! Your dh sounds lovely taking you out for the day, but I can understand your woes! It's only the last week or so I've felt ready for lo to come. At the end of the day as long as lo has a bed and some clothes then everything else is an added extra!

daisybump · 14/05/2007 22:36

Not ungrateful Ria...just bowing to your uncontrollable urge to nest and get things sorted. Men don't have that, and he probably just thought that a nice day out would do you the world of good after all your housework efforts last week (you do seem to be putting the rest of us to shame ). Go and give him a big hug to say thanks for being a thoughtful DH....then quietly slip him the list of things still to be done

daisybump · 14/05/2007 22:37

I'm off this time....G'night all

Dontknowmyarsefrommyelbow · 14/05/2007 22:41

Hiya

Natty - really pleased about your house!!
I have a horsebox which would be perfect for moving house - but I am hundreds of miles away - so not much use! Sorry!! I hope someone close by offers their services soon?

SG - Hospital = shit! Glad your out and okay!

Holly - Lumpy leg = shit! Keep it up in the air and glad it's going down a bit!!

Ria - I too am a horrible wife at the mo! Oh and a horrible daughter and crap employee - so don't worry - you're not alone!

Apart fom that I'm okay! Rib pain has gone as the baby is no longer transverse but is head down and over on my right side - which is good news as I now have at least some use of my left lung (which helps!)

Have been washing all his little outfits and bed sheets - but they are all creased now and am gutted that I'm going to have to iron them all. I'm thinking that will be the first and last time tho!

Might start a new thread.....

Am I being unreasonable to think that ironing baby clothes is a waste of time?

What do you think?

riabutterflew · 14/05/2007 22:42

I'm not doing that much (I just describe what I have done in GREAT DETAIL to make it seem like a massive achievement).

Bless him, I don't begrudge him enjoying his day off, and we did have a lovely day. (though he's not getting what he's hoping for). He keeps saying helpful things like - "last time I saw you in that position it was just before we set off for the hospital..." (my back has been really niggly and have spent a lot of time with my bum in the air, as you do!)

Tomorrow I will be calm and just get on with it instead of wasting my energy stressing.

Night all.X. Thanks for your words of wisdom.

hollyandalice · 14/05/2007 22:43

I'm off too. Emma is on sky movies, I'm going to watch it in bed, you can't beat a bit of jane austen!! Thanks everyone for being lovely, I've been ever so emotional today!

Night all xxx

derlor · 14/05/2007 22:44

Night Ria
night Holly
night Daisy
(whistles the waltons theme tune in own head)

riabutterflew · 14/05/2007 22:45

This WILL BE my last post of the night. I hve ironed my baby things cos they might not get done ever again!

Forgot to say, there were some lovely names earlier on. I like unusual names. Holly - can you give us a clue what your DP is called? (Am V nosey). The only thing about having unusual names is that when it's your DC in trouble, you KNOW it's them cos they're the only one with that name (am speaking from experience!)

Night x

derlor · 14/05/2007 22:46

dnmafme - NO not unreasonable at all - i just wash dry and fold - no ironing nononononononononoonononoooooo!

Dontknowmyarsefrommyelbow · 14/05/2007 22:47

Was it something I said?
Do I smell?
Well I go to bed too then!
Catch up tomorrow?

derlor · 14/05/2007 22:47

oh i can't spell - i meant DKMAFME - sorry

derlor · 14/05/2007 22:48

i'm still here

hollyandalice · 14/05/2007 22:48

Ironing baby clothes is dull!! They are too ickle and it takes ages! I always found tumble drying took most of the creases out anyway!

Ria my dp is called zeno, crazy name. The funniest thing is his surname is a very posh English city, so it sounds very odd!

Right I'm def off now! xxx

Dontknowmyarsefrommyelbow · 14/05/2007 22:49

Think I might change my name - it's a bit long!

derlor · 14/05/2007 22:50

oh Holly - if your still there sleep with your leg on a pillow x

derlor · 14/05/2007 22:50

oops - you're

derlor · 14/05/2007 22:51

oh what could you change it to???
will we make a list?

NattyThomasandEllen · 14/05/2007 22:54
