As we enter month 5 of our pregnancies we need a 5th thread!

Good luck to everyone having their 20 week scan this/next week :)

Had my scan, baby is perfectly fine! I’m just caring small! He’s absolutely huge now and did not stop moving on the scan. They let me have one photo of his head/face as I work for nhs. Albeit it’s blurry as was most of the scan. Didn’t really know what I was looking at unless she told me. I can’t wait for my next one on Sunday will hopefully see his beautiful face in detail! Also been feeling kicks really high up like under my boobs, turns out he’s got his head down already and feet up top. She said his head is using my bladder as a cushion hence why I’m peeing every 2 minutes!

@Gem173 yaay glad all went well and baby is fine! What a relief!
I didn't get to have My scan today they had no slots left so was on the monitor again for an hour and 45 mins and got scan at 3.20 tomorrow instead!

There was a lady in the bed next to me she was 32 weeks and Docs told her she has to be induced today as it had stopped growing! X

@Gem173 so glad all is ok with your little one, can't believe how big they are now! I also have feet under my boobs today it's been so uncomfortable 😅

Oh no, poor 32 week lady, I hope she is OK, that sounds stressful.

@FoxtrotSkarloey sorry about your diagnosis. I have a friend who had GD too and more or less as soon as she gave birth it went away. I'm sure you'll be fine!!

@BertieBotts never heard of easing the covers beforehand. Like you say, you'll probably never get them back on! I wouldn't bother.

When you walk about does it feel like your insides are about to fall out your vagina?!
Its so uncomfortable walking around im actually waddling to try and ease the feeling!

Yeah its normal.. baby must be getting nice and low down and ready!!

I've felt like that a lot earlier in this pregnancy... I think all the muscles down there must not be as tight with this being my second.

I seem to remember with my first that I was only making frequent trips to the toilet in the last few weeks and having really low down pressure. This time it seems to have been the whole pregnancy

@Emmasmum2013 thank you for the reassurance. 1st baby for me. If he is low down does that mean he might come early if already low or does it not make a difference? Xx

It doesn't make a difference.. just good that he's in the right place and you don't need to worry about him being breech. I know some women say that in the final days or even hours before birth they sometimes feel like they need to put their hand down there to stop it falling out haha!

I've got a midwife appointment tomorrow. I'm praying that the baby will be head down. I'm getting a load of kicks high up so I'm hoping that's a good sign. My worst fear is a breech birth.

Ah ok thank you. Totally understand wanting to put a hand down there, its soooo uncomfortable!

I had a growth scan yesterday and baby is head down but it’s spine is not facing outwards. So I am googling all the things I can do to get it to shift. The sonographer said it’s very early yet and no one would be worried about that at this stage.

Scan was all good ladies 👍🏼 baby growing fine and little man has been moving like normal today xx

@SpriteGirl hope baby turns soon! Does it feel painful being back to back? Xx

Not at the moment. I’m not really sure if it’s spine is completely against my back or a bit turned or what. But apparently labour can be more painful. Reading up about it it’s different for different people (labour seems to be in general) so we’ll see. There’s loads of techniques for turning but I’m not sure how effective they really are.

Had my midwife appointment. All doing well! And baby is head down and back to front!!! That's such a relief :D

30 weeks today! DS said "We only have a quarter left to go". errrrrm yep

It is the last day of my 20s today. I am being completely boring and avoiding the housework.
