Good luck to everyone having their 20 week scan this/next week :)

The last two nights I have dreamt it was snowing! I think I'm living in hope that we get an end to the heat soon! Living in Manchester I never thought I'd see the day when I was praying for snow/rain GrinGrin

Gem173 · 08/06/2018 06:28

Omg i had weird dreams last night for the first time this pregnancy.
First dream was me giving birth and I couldn’t get through to ohs phone because he was on the phone somewhere talking to British Gas. So he basically missed the birth of our child.
Second dream I was at work, and my boss (a big scary lady) came plummeting round the corner and tackled me to the floor telling me that I am fired and I have one month to find a new job. I cried so much in the dream because I thought I’d basically lost my flat and couldn’t support my baby.
Was an awful nights sleep :(

Emmasmum2013 · 08/06/2018 09:21

I had a dream about my best friend from primary school who I haven't seen in forever! She was doing really well in my dream. I'll have to try and get back in touch with her.

NikkiL123 · 08/06/2018 09:57

Found this the other day, found it quite helpful x

Thanks NikkiL123 that's really useful. I was hoping to swaddle mine as found that helped settle my other two but they were winter babies so wasn't worried about overheating. I guess if they are swaddled then probably even less clothes - although if it's really warm it might rule out swaddling altogether.

On another topic has anyone found any cheap nighties that you can unbutton to feed? I'll try Primark if I have to just hoping for somewhere that I can buy online rather than have to trek into town.

TheMildManneredMilitant · 08/06/2018 14:41

Actually just came across this site - no idea if they are any good but loads of proper maternity/feeding nighties

peterpanwendy · 08/06/2018 17:49

I can finally join in with all the clothing talk! I haven't been able to get in babies wardrobe for about 2 months because it's been blocked off while we decorated. I've just looked and I have a lot more than I thought 🙈 I will not be buying any more clothes between newborn-3 month sizes at all now! I cannot wait to go through it and see what I've got, I've forgotten what's in there it's going to be like opening presents I bought for myself 😂 x

Oh and baby is so low down today it feels like she's kicking me right in my hoo ha!! Not nice! 😂

Yay!

I have found H&M the absolute best for front opening clothes in general. I haven't looked at their nighties, as I prefer pyjamas but I bet they would be good.

Avoid Mothercare as they are so overpriced.

NikkiL123 · 08/06/2018 21:04

@peterpanwendy pretty sure i could feel the baby through my hoo ha the other day!!! Was soooo weird was in the shower and i was like WOAAAAAHHHHH what the heck is that down there!? 😂

Emmasmum2013 · 09/06/2018 18:40

Is anyone else thirsty all the time? I can’t seem to quench my thirst. I know it’s been hot but I think I’ve drank about 5 pints of water today!

Gem173 · 09/06/2018 19:32

@emmasmum omg I’m the same I’ve been in a hot car all day travelling around trying to look at new cars for us. Baby hasn’t moved at all today. I’m laying on my side now and eating sweets, gunna leave it half hour. If nothing then will call st mikes xx

Emmasmum2013 · 09/06/2018 19:53

:( hope you're ok Gem. Here if you need us x

Did you have any luck car hunting?

Gem173 · 09/06/2018 19:57

Unfortunately not, we found the car we want but couldn’t find one in our area that matches our needs, ie. petrol, semi auto.
Ate tangfastic haribos, had a Victoria sponge cake and a can of 7up. Still no movement :/

milney25 · 09/06/2018 20:09

@Gem173 I went in earlier because I was worried and they were so lovely and kind. Really reassuring, so if you are worried do call them. Let us know how you get on

Emmasmum2013 · 09/06/2018 20:10

Give the hospital a call, there's no point waiting if you're stressing out.

Let us know how you get on x

Emmasmum2013 · 09/06/2018 20:12

Were you ok earlier @milney25 ?

milney25 · 09/06/2018 20:14

I was thank you. It took her ages to find the heartbeat, at one point she said 'hmm, have you felt him move today'. I was terrified and I don't think my husband breathed for 2 minutes!

NikkiL123 · 09/06/2018 21:09

@Gem173 good luck please let us know how you get on thinking of you xx

@milney25 glad you and bump are ok xx

@Emmasmum2013 yessss! I literally have to have water next to me 24/7 xx

milney25 · 09/06/2018 21:10

peterpanwendy · 09/06/2018 21:19

Hey ladies, I phoned the midwives and as I was on the phone to them the baby started kicking! Was so typical. However I did do some star jumps before ringing them just to see if it would do the trick. They said they will still see me later if he’s not moving as much but he’s moved quite a bit now! Thank god. Got my growth scan letter through the post it’s on weds at 1:45pm. Also got my 4D scan on next Sunday so guess I have 2 in a week!
Glad everything’s okay with you @milney25

NikkiL123 · 09/06/2018 22:59

@Gem173 glad all seems to be ok. I've not heard anything about a growth scan? Are they standard? X

SpriteGirl · 09/06/2018 23:13

@NikkiL123 no you don’t get a growth scan as standard only if they feel they need to check the baby. Otherwise your 20 week scan is your last routine scan.

NikkiL123 · 09/06/2018 23:15

@Gem173 Oh ok thank u. Hows baby's movements now? X
