The Clotrimazole pessaries are 500mg dose tablets. I’ve got 7. Just going from instincts doesn’t that sound like quite a high dose for that amount of time? Would have thought 100mg pessary over 7 days more reasonable. But maybe I’m wrong. Just worrying now in case I do too many pessaries!

Emmasmum2013 · 16/05/2018 14:37

Just done a bit of googling Gem, it does seem like a lot. Maybe call the chemist?

Gem173 · 16/05/2018 14:53

The pharmacist gave me them and told me that he thought it was too many, he said he’s rung the gp I went too and they have assured that when pregnant you need a longer course of treatment. That was all I’m told. I’m thinking of doing one more pessary and then wait it out a few days and see if it gets better.

nikkil123 · 16/05/2018 19:02

@Gem173 hope you feel better soon sounds like your having a rough time at the moment xx

peterpanwendy · 16/05/2018 22:20

Hope you feel better soon @Gem173! Have you tried any home remedies for it? Some of them (yogurt) worked well for me a few years back!

Anyone else's bub stop moving as soon as DP/DH put their hand there to feel? And then start moving again when they take their hand away? So naughty 🙈 I have a very active baby this week and I can feel the movements in a lot more places now despite my upper-anterior placenta 😄 it is the best feeling in the world 💗

Im eating a lot of natural yogurt which has seemed to help, slept without trousers on, just wear cotton pants and drinking more water to help flush my system out as I don’t want it to turn into a UTI. After my first pessary not last night the night before my symptoms are slowly dying down. I didn’t take one last night as all my research concluded in pregnant ladies taking one pessary every like 4-7 days. So thought I will bear with and wait it out and see if it fixes itself :)
And yes! My baba stops moving as soon as oh touches my belly. He’s only felt it once! Baby still moves a lot now and it’s hard not to notice him!

nikkil123 · 17/05/2018 10:26

@peterpanwendy yes!! Every time! I think he can hear me telling DP to touch and then he lays as still as possible 😂.

Was quite funny last night the dog had her head resting on my tummy and she must have felt the baby move she jumped soooo high in the air 😂 xx

@Gem173 glad you had a better night and symptoms seem to be easing slightly xx

littleprettylights · 17/05/2018 12:47

Hi all
Due the first week in August, anyone else keeping the babys gender a surprise? i don't think I can buy any more neutral as I know il want colours when baby is here. Just buying last bits n bobs, nappies and mitts today, it felt so real, I cant wait and I'm obsessed with watching one born every min, which is strange because after my first ( many moons ago) i couldn't watch it lol DH is prob fed up with it but told him soon he will be watching it live lol. feeling really preg now, doing my sandals up was a mission lol x

littleprettylights · 17/05/2018 12:51

Also I find it so strange seeing the babies in January posts as it makes me realise how far along ive came! I liked reading the posts and thinking wow doesn't feel that long ago that was me! not long now ladies!

Gem173 · 17/05/2018 13:29

Hi @littleprettylights I’m due at the end of August :) so your a couple weeks ahead! I know we have come a long way and I can’t believe that in just 3 months il have my baby boy (we found out)! I’ve watched a few one born every minute episodes and tbh I don’t find them that bad. I’m not really looking into labour as I’d rather just go in have baby and not worry about what could go wrong. I’ve had terrible indigestion today, but feel much better! Had to take my bra off at work as it was just digging into my abdomen! Feel much better now tho!! :D I’m wondering if my baby will come early, he could come 2 weeks early as my relatives (Mum and Nan) all had premature babies. I was a month early when I was born!

littleprettylights · 17/05/2018 18:08

Hi Gem173, aww lovely a wee boy, i have a wee boy and i love all the baby clothes that are out just now, i love the wee knitted pale blue baby suits, and the wee rompers. Have you got any names picked out? lol at the bra coming off, you've got to do what you've got to do haha my boy was 4 days over, its exciting when it gets down too last two weeks as know can go anytime. i need to buy and sort a hospital bag not thought about it yet.

BertieBotts · 17/05/2018 19:27

Ours did do that stop moving when DH put his hand on, I think he liked the warmth and didn't respond to it! When you poke him or put pressure on one part he reacts. Also to anything cold.

Gem173 · 17/05/2018 21:49

@littleprettylights
Yes I can’t wait till the last two weeks! And we have a name: Lincoln. We hope it will suit him when he arrives :) my family don’t know the name so it’s a surprise for them! I’ve got so many clothes for him already! I just want to cuddle him already 😂 do you have any names for either gender ? xx

couchgriffon · 18/05/2018 09:54

Gem173 Lincoln is such a lovely name, I'm sure it'll be a welcome surprise! Grin

We had our 4D bonding scan at 26+3 of our wee girl yesterday, got loads og video clips and prints; it was a fantastic experience! Would definitely recommend!

@couchgriffon omg such a lovely pic! We are having ours tomorrow at 27 + 4 xx

couchgriffon · 18/05/2018 13:28

nikkil123 good luck, hope you'll get some great shots! Let us know! xx

nikkil123 · 18/05/2018 21:01

More little outfits bought today 🙈 he is going to have more clothes than me at this rate!!

Quick question is anyone suffering from SPD? I think i have it mildly and its painful! Xx

littleprettylights · 18/05/2018 21:29

@gem173 Lovely name, unusual but not too out there.

@couchgriffon The 4d scan looks great, I have a 32 week scan but, think the 4D is another experience, I had my son 9 years ago and they used to be so expensive so we chose to get a canvas instead when he was born, but I have seen them for £40 and I think we will get one around 34 weeks.

Emmasmum2013 · 19/05/2018 07:39

Bit worried today ladies...
The other day I had some weird like almost pulled muscle pain in my abdomen. Like my stomach muscles had stretched, it was really painful to move for about half an hour then as quick as it came it went again.

And now yesterday and still today I’ve got a slight (and I mean tiny) amount of bleeding. It’s just like a bit of discoloured discharge really.

I don’t know what to do. Baby is active like normal and I feel fine myself.

I had a little bit of spotting late in in my last pregnancy too and went to hospital. They had me on monitors and checked my cervix etc and sent me home none the wiser. Never did find out what caused it.

Any advice?

SpriteGirl · 19/05/2018 08:31

I get pulled muscle feelings in my stomach if I move a certain way and I just assume it’s round ligament and abdominal muscles being stretched. Although what you are describing sounds a bit like it came on by itself? Still round ligament pain is part of pregnancy.

With the bleeding and the fact you are worried I’d give your maternity unit a call and talk to them. Most likely nothing but it’ll put your mind at rest.

nikkil123 · 19/05/2018 08:40

@Emmasmum2013 i get the same abdomen feeling had it most of pregnancy really, especially if i sneeze its really sore.

Not had bleeding so all i can really say is contact your midwife or pop down to A&E if no midwife today. Can never be too careful. Xx

Emmasmum2013 · 19/05/2018 09:48

I’ve rang the midwife and she’s just said to monitor it. If it gets any worse to call them back
Urgh :(

Gem173 · 19/05/2018 15:11

Any chance you could have thrush or bacterial vaginosis that is symptomless? I wiped the other day and got this below (sorry if it’s tmi) and I went to doctors they inspected and told me it’s because my vaginal skin is irritated.

As for abdominal pain, I only have a slight achey pain in my right hip. I’m a bit worried I haven’t felt my baby move yet today. Hoping he will spring to life later! Not exactly been Eating healthy. Had my normal veg every day but been treating myself to snacks and sweets 😩

Gem173 · 19/05/2018 15:12

Sorry here’s the photo

We had our 4D scan today, typically little man didn't want to play along and had his hands over his face most of the time! This is one of the better photos, his grumpy little frown 😂😂.
Interestingly found out my placenta is at the front which NHS never mentioned so that makes me feel a bit it better as to why i don't feel him move much! Does anyone know if this can cause any issues? Xx
