Bertiebotts sorry to hear you had a loss 😢 but as you say all very exciting and positive now 😘 xx

Emmasmum2013 · 10/05/2018 19:31

We’ve just ordere a load of stuff off amazon baby wish list. So tomorrow we’ve got the Moses basket and stand, bottles, Brezza, and some other bits and bobs coming. And then I think other than formula and nappies, we’re done!! Scary.

nikkil123 · 12/05/2018 14:55

emmasmum what is Brezza? Blush xx

BertieBotts · 12/05/2018 16:04

Yep we have just done a big amazon order!

So I've got now:

Bath
Towels
Play mat
Bedside crib (with crap thin mattress)
Some clothes
Pushchair (!!!!)
Raincover x2
Insect net
Cuddly toys
Star projector light thing
Hanging toy which plays lullaby

Coming next week:
Mattress protector (crib and our bed)
Crib sheets
Muslins
Reusable breast pads
Mirror to see into car seat

On a promise:
Baby hats
Stretchy wrap sling
Baby bouncer
Snow suit x2 Confused (not really sure we need this!)
LOADS of toys
Travel change mat
Changing mat for home

Seems like all we need now are:
A few more clothes
Sunhat
Wipes/nappies/soap
Car seat
Car base if we get one
Pushchair carseat adapters (prev. owners said they may find them and let us know)
Baby nail clippers
Couple of blankets
Changing bag/new rucksack

Shock We're so close to being done! I do need to work out what stuff I'll need for the birth as well.

nikkil123 · 12/05/2018 16:30

bertiebotts WOW that is some list! I notice insect net on your list, Do you live in the UK? Totally need to get a projector thingy and car seat mirror thanks for the reminder!!

I still need to get quite a lot but my friends have insisted on throwing me a baby shower so should imagine a few bits will come from there.
Got all the big stuff, cot, changing unit, moses basket, cot mattress, steriliser, bottles, prep machine, travel system (on order), few outfits and a blanket. Xx

BertieBotts · 12/05/2018 16:41

Not in UK. We get a lot of mossies here.

Emmasmum2013 · 12/05/2018 17:39

The Brezza is a magical formula bottle making machine. Basically like a nespresso but for milk. You put all your formula powder in the top and some boiled water in the side. Set the dial to your brand of formula, press the button for your desired amount of milk to be made and hey presto! It makes a perfectly measured perfect temp bottle. I remember being so tired last time that counting 4 scoops of powder was a nightmare hahah. It’s arrived today and I really want to test it! We’ve also got the Moses basket and stand, bottles, dummies, bath and some other bits and bobs like bedding and muslins. I’m getting excited now!!

Emmasmum2013 · 12/05/2018 17:40

Also starting to stock the baby’s wardrobe and did these printable dividers today Smile

Emmasmum2013 · 12/05/2018 18:00

We looked at the tommee tippee one but it doesn’t measure the powder for you.
This is ours www.amazon.co.uk/gp/aw/d/B00E8KJYNC/ref=mp_s_a_1_1_a_it?ref=plSrch&keywords=baby+brezza&dpPl=1&dpID=41GsRcAkYuL&tag=mumsnetforum-21&ie=UTF8&qid=1526144379&sr=8-1

Everything is super cute!!! We need loads more sleep suits and body suits though x

nikkil123 · 12/05/2018 18:40

OMG i have wardrobe envy!! What a lucky little man Smile.
I've had real trouble finding outfits i like, seems like there is always hundreds of girls clothes and then tiny sections for boys! This is all i have so far

August 2018 #5
Emmasmum2013 · 12/05/2018 19:24

Awww Gem you are proper sorted for clothes there!!! I’m currently sorting and washing loads that we had from our first DD so it’s slowly getting there. I’m hoping we won’t have to buy too much.

Gem173 · 12/05/2018 20:11

Yeah I got loads haha oh sis baby has now outgrown his newborn and 0-3 clothes so I have them all now! Some lush pieces! Fed and burped oh sis baby today, he’s 2 months old now. Just made me want me baby here now! So broody!

BertieBotts · 12/05/2018 23:39

I will do a proper wardrobe pic at some point. I'm picking up a few more bits on Friday. I've sorted the clothes we have up to 6 months and then anything over that has gone into a bag for later! I've deliberately not got much. DH is really keen for DS to go out and buy some stuff with whoever is looking after him while I'm in hospital.

BeesKnees9 · 13/05/2018 11:23

Wow you are all so organised!! I really must get my butt in gear Blush

@Nikkil123 and @Emmasmum2013 can I ask - have you bought your Brezza/Perfect Prep machines because you know you won’t be breast feeding or is it in addition to breast feeding/for when you move on to formula? I am planning on breast feeding but was going to buy some bottles and formula just incase (first baby and no idea what to expect/ what i’m doing!) and these machines do make it sound so much easier for sleep deprived days/nights

@gem173 I am so pleased you have felt some movement!! I have also started feeling some kicks/movements in the last 10 days and it’s such a relief.

Also how active is the Facebook group now? Is it worth being added? I have been rubbish at keeping up with the thread Blush

YouCantBeSirius · 13/05/2018 13:59

I have serious wardrobe envy here. I've just stuffed all the clothes into an ottoman until I clear out some space.

My mum is so excited to be a granny again, I asked her to crochet a couple of blankets for the baby. She's sent me through a bag with 10 gorgeous blankets in it.

nikkil123 · 13/05/2018 14:07

BeesKnees9 hi 🙋🏼‍♀️
I bought it because i know i will not be breast feeding (takes cover 🙈) its just a million % not for me and nothing will change my mind! I got it on ebay for a fraction of the cost new and in perfect working order. Xx

nikkil123 · 13/05/2018 14:08

*gem

nikkil123 · 13/05/2018 14:11

@Gem173 @BertieBotts i bought some more outfits today as felt totally unprepared after seeing/reading how organised you both are! Got this jumper to match Daddy's, actually melts my heart Smile

Stephiewoo · 13/05/2018 17:53

@birdy1978 How are you doing lovely?x

Emmasmum2013 · 13/05/2018 18:46

@BeesKnees9
This is my second baby, I tried breast feeding with my first. Milk didn’t come in properly for a few days so she was latched in for what seemed like forever. We were both miserable with it so went to formula and never looked back. I love that I know exactly how much she’s having, dad can do feeds too and all the pressure is not on me.
I don’t even intend to attempt it this time. Hence the Brezza!! Being so tired that you can’t count to 4 is not fun!

Gem173 · 13/05/2018 18:58

Il be getting a perfect prep machine too but only once I have tried breast feeding first. Don’t want to spend more money on something I might not need quite yet. And I’ve got oh Mum making me blankets, they are so cute!
@nikkil123 love that jumper! So cute and he will look like such a cute mini me!
@beesknees9 yeah I’m glad I have movement now it’s reassuring that I can feel him everyday even if it’s not yet a pattern.
These are tops/vests that I got yesterday at a sale in monsoon/accessorise (had no idea they done baby clothes!)
