Hi ladies. Tentatively dipping my toe in the pregnancy pool!
I'm 33 (34 in a month)
Mmc at 6w4d in Jan
First baby. Been ttc for over a year.
EDD 16th/18th December (depending on ovulation or lmp)
So I'm around 5 weeks.

I had private blood tests done which show normal levels of thyroid and progesterone and hcg was good. Just had cb digital come up with 2-3weeks so that works.

Mega nervous because last bfp ending in mmc and also my bbt temps are quite low compared to last time and got bfns until 15dpo!!! So who knows. Desperate to hold my baby at Christmas!!!

Mamabooksbabynumber2 · 14/04/2018 11:30

Hi everyone,
I am on the antenatal December babies 2018 group but have been lurking in here too.

Am 5 +6 due 9th December with baby number 2, after trying for 14 months. Feeling very nervous and very lucky to be pregnant.

Gemsie1984 · 14/04/2018 13:18

Well nausea has hit me like a steam train today at 6w 2d. I'm trying to eat grapes, but my stomach is off.. almost feels like I'm recovering from food poisoning.. Sad

SpongeBobGrannyPants · 14/04/2018 14:32

usernamechecksout I think I'll get my first scan at 9 weeks but still waiting on the consultant confirming. When we met the consultant after our loss I'm sure that's what she said we would have though. And then additional ones between 12 and 20 weeks, which will be a particularly anxious time for us.

8/9/10 weeks is a good time for an early scan as I think they see a bit more by then and usually with an abdominal ultrasound and not the vaginal one.

SpongeBobGrannyPants · 14/04/2018 14:33

Is NIPT the harmony testing? We'll be asking for that this time too (which we have to pay for up my way).

SpongeBobGrannyPants · 14/04/2018 14:37

I really need to learn to get all my comments into just one post!

@Cakelaur I think I remember you from the miscarriage threads. I've name changed recently but my loss was in January too so I'm sure we were on some of the same threads then. Glad you have fallen pregnant again. Fx for a sticky one Thanks

Hi to all the other newbies!

That's me done I think Grin

applesauce1 · 14/04/2018 15:42

@Gemsie1984 I'm 6+2 today as well, and weirdly looking forwards to nausea- feel like it will confirm things for me! Did you feel relieved when it hit or is it just awful?

Question- I sometimes take part in an annual fun rowing competition. It comprises 6 intensive lessons and an all day knock out event (we usually race about 6 times). It's a challenging event. I don't often exercise (I'm active but don't work out) so this would be an enormous change in my routine. Should I skip it this year to be safe? Or am I being over cautious?

Usernamechecksout · 14/04/2018 16:18

spongebob yep, NIPT is the non-invasive prenatal test, so the blood test for genetic diseases. Have to pay for it, but thought it would be worth it. I’m doing the Vision test, which seems to be a bit more accurate than harmony. They do a scan at the same time and you can get it done from 10 weeks, which is what I’ll be doing.

apple it depends how you feel. If you’re feeling fine within yourself, it might be ok, but don’t push yourself too hard. It might be even more challenging being pregnant, because your body is different. When is it planned for?

Gemsie1984 · 14/04/2018 17:36

@applesauce1 - it's happening in waves at the moment. Been having sore boobs and cramping too. Cramping can be quite painful. Hopefully symptoms are a good sign, still on knicker watch! Thinking of going to EPU next week if the cramps are still ongoing, just to rule out ectopic. That's my massive fear atm.

jjlilstar · 14/04/2018 21:07

Hi hope you dont mind me joinong found out yesterday im pregnanct with hopefully baby number 2. Had a mc 9 weeks ago so feeling abit up and down already but plesently surpised none the less

jjlilstar · 14/04/2018 21:07

And apprently i cannot spell anymore haha

Stargirl90 · 14/04/2018 23:18

Told oh's mum and her husband today she was over the moon. We have gone away in a hotel for the night and i'm having some brown spotting, few period type cramps also but had these on and off the whole time i've known, so hopefully the spotting is nothing serious. Ill be 7 weeks on monday x

Gemsie1984 · 14/04/2018 23:59

@Stargirl90 - hope you're okay. Fingers crossed it settles soon. I had a bleed with my son @ 6 weeks and it turned out to be a subchrionic haematoma. Thankfully it reabsorbed by 12 week scan.. Thanks

Angharad07 · 15/04/2018 00:09

So many January miscarriages on here :( I had a mc at 9 wks on the 25th of Jan. (Have had 2 mc and no successful pregnancy yet).

Pregnant again, supposedly 6 + 6 but nothing showed on the scan. Fingers crossed it’s just a bit too early, going back in 10 days.

Good luck, ladies. I hate early pregnancy, I just wish I knew everything is ok.

MagicalCreatures · 15/04/2018 00:18

Hi everyone.
I started a post about TTC Christmas Babies 2018 and I’m lucky enough to have got a faint positive this morning at 9dpo.
So I’m joining yours 😃
I’m 30
TTC #1
Miscarriage a couple of months ago which has really shaken me. Not sure whether to really get excited just yet.
EDD Christmas Day by LMP but OV CD17 so more likely 27th December.
Eeeek!!!
@Cakelaur I found the thread 😃

Cakelaur · 15/04/2018 07:29

@SpongeBobGrannyPants what was your name before?? I was on the ttc after miscarriage! We found out we were preg early December, now we're due in December!!! Eek!! So so nervous!

@MagicalCreatures yeah!!!! You're here!!

Hi everyone! It's so hard to keep up what a great month!! There's so many bfps!!!

Where's everyone based? I'm SW London.

Cakelaur · 15/04/2018 07:32

@Angharad07 🤞🏻all goes well babe!! I'm dreading our early scan. I won't even allow my other half to say 'we're having a baby'. I'm thrilled to be pregnant again and to make that first hurdle.

MagicalCreatures · 15/04/2018 07:41

@Cakelaur
I’m in Brighton. 😃

Cakelaur · 15/04/2018 07:45

@MagicalCreatures you should come jump onto our bfp after mc thread. We're all in the same nervous wreck box.

Rachie1986 · 15/04/2018 08:22

So many new people. Welcome everyone!! Fingers crossed for sticky babies for us all x

Lilly1207 · 15/04/2018 08:26

How is everyone feeling? I was super excited to get my BFP and now I think I'm going through a bit of an anxious spell. Terrified that something will go wrong, I don't have any reasoning for this. This is my second pregnancy and absolutely no problems with my first. I'm sure that we all go through this at some point 🙈

Stephisaur · 15/04/2018 08:29

Heyy @magicalcreatures and @cakelaur !!

Got my BFP this morning, first pregnancy, absolutely shitting myself 😂 EDD is the 20th December at the moment :)

Mum0918 · 15/04/2018 08:45

Morning all, i got my doctors in a couple of weeks but i dont think ill get to see a midwife until im back from my holiday im hoping they will give me scan before but i wouldnt be quite 12 wks. Is it worth paying for a private one or waiting until I return from my holiday?

MagicalCreatures · 15/04/2018 08:47

Hi Stephisaur so exited for you. Are you still struggling with the tea?
I’ve barely got any real symptoms this time round. Last time I had everything ever recorded x

ClaraLaMoine · 15/04/2018 08:48

@Mum0918 you can have a dating scan from 10 weeks. If you are more than 13+6 when you get back from your holiday they won't however be able to do the nuchal scan (if that's what you want). Best ask your midwife! Private scans are good but if you want nuchal scan it's close to £200!
