Hi guys. I’ve been a bit of a lurker on the TTC boards, got my BFP two weeks ago and now 6+2. All being well due 4 December.

Have had two previous MCs and one CP. So feeling very nervous, trying to not get too attached at this stage.

Early scan scheduled at EPU next week. Not sure how I’m going to manage till then without having a heart attack!?!

Cakelaur · 12/04/2018 17:23

Hi @PineapplePrincess welcome. Congrats for the bfp and so sorry about your losses. We're all in the same boat here. And all nervous.

Thanks Cakelaur and congrats to all the ladies, hopefully we’ve been lucky enough to snag the sticky beans this time. :-)

As I mentioned I have an early scan next week. I should be 7+2 based on the first date of last period, which I’m hoping will be far enough to detect a heartbeat, right? Worried as my ovulation date was approx 11 March which would date pregnancy at 5+3.

Other worry is hubby won’t be able to come the the scan with me, as he’s just started a new job. Hubby was also not there when I found out about my first MC, during an scan. Don’t really have anyone to ask to come with me. Not sure I want/need anyone, but it’s bugging me a bit, if that makes sense?

Beck1988 · 12/04/2018 18:14

@pineappleprincess my partner also wasn't with me when I found out bout my miscarriage, I think it was better for me coz I had to be strong for myself! If he was there I think I would of just broke down. Good luck for ur scan hopefully sticky beans this time for us all! 🤞

peachesarenom · 12/04/2018 18:36

Hi PineapplePrincess!

Cakelaur · 12/04/2018 19:25

@PineapplePrincess think good thoughts babe!! I'm sure it will all be perfect. And yes by 7weeks you should see a heart beat but don't panick if you don't because between 6-8weeks it can be hard to find the bubs heartbeat.

Ladies can I just say!!!! OMG!!! I get my puppy tomorrow!!! I'm almost more excited about the puppy than I am the bfp cos the puppy is a definite!

How's everyone coping? I had blood tests back.
Apparently everything is normal. Hcg is ok, signalling between 4-5weeks which is about right, thyroid is ok, progesterone is apparently ok although I'm still gonna use the cream.

Beck1988 · 12/04/2018 21:21

@cakelaur that's good that everything has come back ok! I'm feeling positive most of the time! 😬

peachesarenom · 12/04/2018 21:22

GoshCakelaur how long between calling epu and getting tests? I was too in shock to call today! I'm glad you've had good results!

Cakelaur · 12/04/2018 21:24

@peachesarenom I paid to go private for bloods. But I called Epu and I'm scheduled for a 6week scan on 27th!! I'm pooping m pants. Not gonna breathe until then. That's my next milestone. Not looking past that. Small baby steps to get through this.

OP posts:
peachesarenom · 12/04/2018 21:26

I agree Cakelaur baby steps!

Martydog · 12/04/2018 23:06

Hi @pineappleprincess
I having lots of bloating my stomach feels huge , is anyone else having that problem. I am trying really hard to think positive thoughts hopefully things will be better once I get past 8 weeks.
Glad your puppy is coming tomorrow @cakelaur it looks really cute.
Hope everyone is ok

peachesarenom · 12/04/2018 23:30

I can't tell you how jealous I am of the old puppy! @Cakelaur Also, when you said baby steps did you mean going through this whole catalogue because that's what I've just done! Apart from the prams because that is boring!
