Lilly About 5 weeks

Stargirl90 · 13/04/2018 13:47

I'm 6wk 4 days today, haven't had any morning sickness which is worrying? This is my first pregnancy so i guess i don't really know what to expect but i thought i'd feel more pregnant than i do. I have been bloated quite often and (tmi) constipated the past few days. But thats pretty much it!

Stargirl90 · 13/04/2018 13:49

@Lilly1207 i'm the same, unsure when to tell my manager. I work in a supermarket type shop, pulling and lifting heavy things daily, so unsure when the lifting is gonna start being dangerous? Confused

PopTheRainbowdrops · 13/04/2018 13:53

Hello! Just had my positive test for my second miracle child. Hopefully. Still feels unreal!

Lilly1207 · 13/04/2018 14:18

@Stargirl90 I would say tell sooner rather than later. In my job I come into contact with people who misuse drugs and/or alcohol and the risks associated, challenging behaviours, mental health etc. I think I’ll be telling them on Monday xx

NeffSaid · 13/04/2018 14:58

Stargirl you might just be one of the lucky ones and not get sick!

I haven’t had any sickness yet which is very odd for me as I was sick around 10x a day with my first 2 but I think I’m about a week behind you.

Tashaa123 · 13/04/2018 15:47

@lily1207 my work is similar, I work on an acute mental health ward so there are definitely risks but I also don’t want to tell too early. Another lady at work didn’t say anything until 12 weeks

yellowmellw · 13/04/2018 15:57

Hi I'm currently 7 weeks with #2. Edd 29th November.

I've just received my booking appointment in the post for next Thursday morning. I'm going to midwife led unit and they do a quick scan at the 8 week booking in appointment as routine which is brilliant.

Rachie1986 · 13/04/2018 17:12

Hi Mibby. Nice to see someone else with a slightly bigger age gap. My DD will be nearly 5 when baby born. How do you feel about having a slightly older child? I'm a bit apprehensive but we put of TTC a long time as I had bad pnd with my first

Lilly1207 · 13/04/2018 17:23

My DD will be 9 when my baby arrives 🙊 he's always asking when I'm going to have a baby so I have no doubt he will be ecstatic by the time we tell him ❤️ xx

Lilly1207 · 13/04/2018 17:24

DS even haha!! Baby brain!!

Snowflake9 · 13/04/2018 17:44

There is a 14 year age gap between my eldest sister and I and am 11 year age gap between my other sister and I. They truly are my best friends and I love that I got to watch them go through their late teens and twenties. I learnt so much from them.

No pregnant with my first, they are giving me lots of support and advice.

Age gaps are ace IMO

Wanttomakemincepies · 13/04/2018 18:27

My DS will be nearly 9 when this one arrives. He will be over the moon, has been asking for a brother or sister for about 3 years.

Gemsie1984 · 13/04/2018 18:32

There will be a 9 and 10 year age gap between mine when this baby arrives..

SpongeBobGrannyPants · 13/04/2018 18:38

Ok diving in with a TMI. Look away now if you're having dinner!

I've had what I can only describe as a light caramel coloured discharge the past day. My usual pregnancy discharge is the textbook wet, milky kind (although I did have unexplained first trimester bleeding with DD but that was different to this). Those who around 4/5 weeks, what kind of discharge (if any) are you experiencing right now? I am worried that this isn't a good sign. I sometimes get this kind of discharge just before my period comes Confused

Mibby16 · 13/04/2018 18:43

Hi rachie they have different biological dads, although my husband has raised my DD since she was 2. We waited a while to ttc but she's desperate for a baby sibling so I hope it will work out ok

Snowflake9 · 13/04/2018 19:09

Spongebob - my discharge has been milky , no other colour. It could well be things settling in to place. If you are concerned it’s best to get it checked out.

Gross as it sounds - I always take a pic of my discharge on white tissue if I need to show a doctor or anything.

X

Gemsie1984 · 13/04/2018 19:31

My CM has been white and creamy, occasionally what looks like EWCM.. definitely nothing that looks like it has much colour to it.

applesauce1 · 13/04/2018 20:42

Hi everyone and congratulations on your bfps.

I'm 29, pregnant with #1. Been with husband 8 years, married for 1.5 years. Pregnant on 2nd cycle. Really hoping and hoping this sticks (we say a sticky prayer to my tummy because we allow ourselves to be very strange in private).
My last period was 2nd March, which puts me at 6+1, although since I didn't ovulate (according to BBT) until 3 weeks into cycle, I'm guessing I'm more like 5 and a bit.

Got the first BFP (I've always read that as big fucking positive- just me?) on 5th April.

I have absolutely no real symptoms at the moment. Had lower back pain before I tested. No sickness. Just a bit of bloating which I associate with easer over-eating.

Anyone else not experiencing any symptoms yet?

I have a midwife appointment next Tuesday, so I'll be 6+5, which I understand to be very early for a booking appointment. Not sure why they offered it to me, now!

SpongeBobGrannyPants · 13/04/2018 21:51

I'm hoping it's maybe just some old blood (implantation) that has mixed in with the other (normal) cm. It seems to have stopped now but I'll be on knicker watch for the foreseeable I think.

SpongeBobGrannyPants · 13/04/2018 23:33

I've just noticed there's a Dec 18 group in antenatal groups. Are you all on there too?

BloominMoomin89 · 14/04/2018 08:20

Hi all can i tentatively join? Had a mmc November so very anxious. Scan yesterday shows a heartbeat which is something but only 6 plus 3. Last year everything stopped at 6 plus 4. Based on yesterdays scan im due 4th December i think.

Usernamechecksout · 14/04/2018 08:20

Hi all! I’m on the antenatal group but thought I’d join here too Smile. Due date is 4 December and I already have a DS (3). Had an early scan this week because of previous MC and spotting, and saw a heartbeat! Still spotting a bit so I’m still worrying. Have to wait until next month for the 10-week scan and NIPT. Anyone else planning on doing this?

smoothies · 14/04/2018 08:22

@Snowflake9 There will be 12 years between my DD and this BFP so it was great to read that you enjoyed the gap. My DD is super excited and hopes everything goes to plan. She's already offering to help. This will be DH first and he is delighted.

Usernamechecksout · 14/04/2018 08:25

bloomin I had a MMC too at 5-6 weeks in December. Only found out at 8 weeks and went down the medical management route. It really gets to you doesn’t it? Glad you saw the heartbeat too! Still anxious too, but at least seeing that heartbeat is more than what I saw last time!
