Had an early scan today. 8+5 by my LMP, but 7+5 by ovulation date.

I was absolutely fit to burst with wee, and was worried they'd want to do a transvag and I'd wet myself (I'll worry about anything). She gave me an abdominal scan and said she could see baby straight away. We saw its little heart beat. Got a bit teary. I'd almost convinced myself that there'd be no baby at all.
Then they offered my the silver space dildo, and thankfully told me I could empty my bladder. Apparently our baby is exactly 7+5. Bang on for my clever science prediction guess. Well done baby.
Just feeling so bloody relieved right now.

That's great news, how exciting @applesauce

orangekitkat13 · 01/05/2018 20:19

@applesauce1 that's wonderful news!

December2018 · 01/05/2018 20:26

Applesauce that is a very beautiful little bean xxx

orangekitkat13 · 01/05/2018 20:28

@December2018 how are you today? Still spotting?

December2018 · 01/05/2018 20:36

Hi kitkat
Yeah only dribs & drabs and it's not as bright as it was yesterday... I have horrendous back ache tho, it's one of those pains that makes you wiggle about and not be able to get comfy in bed 😖
How about you? Xx

GoldilocksTheGraceless · 01/05/2018 20:37

Yay @applesauce1 such good news!

applesauce1 · 01/05/2018 20:40

@CherryO88 do you know when you ovulated? It's definitely reassuring that you've seen an yolksac and a bean. 2 weeks will be over in no time compared to 40 weeks altogether!

orangekitkat13 · 01/05/2018 21:27

@December2018 glad it's not got any worse. That back pain is odd, have you spoken to anyone?
Same as yesterday/this morning really, cramps and heavy bleeding.

CherryO88 · 01/05/2018 21:51

Aw fab applesauce! I’m sure you are just so happy and relieved. Also I had the exact same concern going into today with the full bladder and possibility of internal scan!!
I don know exactly when I ovulated, in fact I was convinced I hadn’t ovulated at all. We only dtd twice after my fertile week was over though so can kind of narrow it down. You’re so right, 2 weeks is nothing in the grand scheme. Feeling a bit more positive tonight. Thanks for the support Smile

shewolfmum · 01/05/2018 22:02

Oh...i was joining you...but alas it wasn't to be and had my 1st mc at the weekend. Keep popping in and it is so lovely to read your exciting news...i hope to be in another club one day soon but have to get busy as i am 44 with 1 x 5 year old! Good luck and healthy pregnancies everyone

orangekitkat13 · 01/05/2018 22:10

@shewolfmum I'm so sorry to hear that. Wishing you luck for a BFP and a sticky bean soon.

GoldilocksTheGraceless · 01/05/2018 22:26

Had a cold bath just now and did wonders for late night sickness if anyone else needs new things to try!

Cakelaur · 02/05/2018 05:13

@applesauce1 great news babe. Awesome pic as well. Really clear.
@December2018 sorry you're still spotting babe. When's you're scan?
@orangekitkat13 sorry it's so shit babe. Hope you're ok. And the wait is defo the worst part. Sending hugs.
@shewolfmum so so sorry babe. Sending hugs. 🤞🏻for a stick bean soon

December2018 · 02/05/2018 07:34

I've got my booking in appointment next Tuesday as I'll be 8+5 then
Apparently the backache is normal, some people get it and some people don't... apparently if you get more back pain than abdominal cramps in the first trimester your more likely to suffer with back pain in labour which is supposed to be horrendous.... FAB! Haha 😂
To be honest they have eased a bit this morning and no spotting so far XX

Cakelaur · 02/05/2018 07:37

So glad the spotting has stopped. I have mega back pain too!! 😭 chiropractor is costing a fortune!! And have a sexy belt to wear! She's hoping she can have me almost pain free by the time I'm 14 weeks. But we'll see!!

lrwe · 02/05/2018 07:54

Just popping in again - been busy lurking and it's been wonderful to see so many heartbeats happening hooray!

I've been panicking because I do not feel pregnant. I've had all the positive tests, my betas went from 170 - 335 and still I'm like eek.

So I took my final week estimator today and have gone phew!! By LMP I'm 6+3 but by ovulation (which was confirmed by ultrasound so I know it was spot on) I'm 5+3 early scan on Saturday.

And breeeeeeeeathe.

Yay @lrwe

Mamababynumber2 · 02/05/2018 08:44

Welcome irye !

I have my booking in appointment tomorrow which I'm quite looking forward to as it will feel a little more real.

I've got very bad lower backache and the subtle beginnings of spd but haven't bought pillow as think I should wait until scan. Not sure how to relieve the back ache. It's feeling quite unbearable now I'm sat down on the train.

I had spd with my daughter and was on crutches - my back and hips haven't been the same since so I'm expecting to get it again.

Buenavista · 02/05/2018 09:38

Sorry for the mc and bleeding on here, hoping for better news for you all soon. But yay for heartbeats and digi tests. It really can go one way or the other so easily early on. Haven’t had back ache so far, thankfully, the bath tip sounds a good one. I’m trying to keep exercising gently, feel so much better the next day if I do, but terrifies me at the time am doing some damage! What are you all doing exercise wise?

Paranormalbouquet · 02/05/2018 09:49

Nausea kicked in big time this morning. To coincide with a job interview (for a job I don’t really want to be fair, but thought it would be good practice). Was on at 9 and could barely stop myself from gagging at the interviewers aftershave. Needless to say it did not go well!

shewolfmum · 02/05/2018 09:52

Thanks for your sticky wishes everyone x if i can recommend one thing it would be reflexology...amazing when pregnant. If you find someone who has done maternity reflexology they will know how to treat spd too...lovely to hear of all your pregnancy aches and pains! But not lovely for you all i know!! Take it easy and i will check in and see how you all are until i find myself in another group i guess!!

smoothies · 02/05/2018 10:16

Is anyone else exhausted? I'm in bed by 9.30pm, up at 6.30am for the school run and sleeping every spare minute I can. I skipped the gym this morning to go back to bed! I'm age 42 and 7 weeks gone, I do remember being tired with my first (11 years ago) but wondered if it's worse now because of my age?

December2018 · 02/05/2018 10:25

I'm also exhausted me and my other half tried to watch a movie last night... I was asleep within the first 10 mins 🙀

Paranormalbouquet · 02/05/2018 10:31

I’m falling asleep at 10, waking up at 3 for an hour or two and then falling back asleep til 7ish. Don’t know why I’m waking overnight but I’m bloody exhausted!
