Hello! Just spotted you all.

I'm 6weeks, due first week of Dec. Already have a DD with December birthday (nearer Christmas)!

Very bad symptoms this time, frequently feeling very nauseaus and some dizziness too. Much worse than last time I think!

SpongeBobGrannyPants · 12/04/2018 16:19

Very irritable here!

How long has everyone been trying for?

We had a loss in January at 20 weeks (a little boy) but got the all clear to try again in Feb. Relieved that we've just squeezed into the last month of 2018 though for our due date. I know dates don't really matter in the grand scheme of things but I really want 2018 to end on a more happy note. Keeping everything crossed for sticky beans!

SpongeBobGrannyPants · 12/04/2018 16:20

👋🏻

Snowflake9 · 12/04/2018 16:36

We decided to try at the beginning of March this year. We didn’t expect it to happen so quick ! Shocked isn’t the word.

We are both very happy though with the news. Just wish I could not be so angry all the time !

Tori3535 · 12/04/2018 17:16

We are 6 weeks and I am generally exhausted. Sore boobs and nausea comes and goes, I find if I get too hungry (especially first thing in morning) it’s worse so I’ve been grazing 24/7 which means I’m probably going to put on lots of weight! No major mood swings. Still so scared and nervous that it sticks, just told my mum and sister who are both delighted.

Elllicam · 12/04/2018 17:38

Hi all :) I just got a (late) bfp today after several negative tests. I’m due 5th December with my 4th baby. Is there a December Facebook group yet?

GoldilocksTheGraceless · 12/04/2018 19:14

@R7589 thanks - good to see you here!

@Mum0918 firstly you are such a champ for doing this solo, but you certainly are not alone now, even if we are only in your life virtually!!! I'm also 27 and I'm nervous to tell my parents too. Do you know when you plan to tell them? And is there anyone else that you've told/can tell in real life?

Mum0918 · 12/04/2018 19:39

@goldielocksthegraceless aw thank you i have done so far with my 9yr already. Thank you. I’m so worried i found this card on esty im going to order to tell them lol. Im seeing my doctor on May 1st so maybe after that as i be coming 8 weeks. Yes i have told 2 people in real life one a midwife/friend and one is from work. When are you planning on telling yours? X

Tashaa123 · 12/04/2018 20:04

Hello and congratulations ladies!!

I found out on the weekend that I’m pregnant with my first due 13th December (according to nhs website!) so I’m 5 weeks.
I am absolutely exhausted!! Couldn’t keep my eyes open at work today and probably being a bit of grump! Also got a big bloated belly and aches like period pains.

I couldn’t get a doctors appointment until may when I’ll be almost 9 weeks. How long does it usually take to get a scan appointment after seeing go?

smoothies · 12/04/2018 21:22

At age 42, I just got a BFP. I'm in shock and delighted. DH and I have been TTC for 3 years and had just given up. I was about to get a coil fitted. 🙊 My DD (11) has started her AF and was monitoring my cycle along with hers on an app - she made me get a test today as she could see I was 4 days late.

Yukka · 12/04/2018 21:35

Welcome and congrats ladies! @smoothie that's lovely your daughter pointing it out!

@tasharr once you get to 6 weeks you can self refer on NHS website for Midwife you don't really need a gp referral unless you are worried.

For others re symptoms- I'm really agitated! Everything is annoying me! No sickness yet but had flu symptoms all week. Had to have pizza tonight for comfort food....!

Got my gp appointment tomo to hopefully get an early scan next week.

Congratulations

Mum0918 · 12/04/2018 21:37

@yukka is it easy to self referrer? I didnt know you coukd do this....may have to look at this. Thanks

Tashaa123 · 12/04/2018 21:58

@yukka thanks! I can’t seem to find how to do this in my area. Is it available everywhere? Maybe I should just ring the docs in the morning and ask what to do Confused

Chatty81 · 12/04/2018 22:19

I did the self referral and they were so excited to have a newbie I have a group appointment on Monday where we can ask questions and get all the info we need so I need a pad and pen cause the last few days I would forget my name honestly
I’ve just booked into have an early scan at a local place just to put me at ease but that’s 2 weeks away
Hope everyone else is feeling good xx

Gemsie1984 · 12/04/2018 22:47

For my local hospital for self referral we go to the hospital website and search.. I went to the GP today to confirm pregnancy and she said that's the way it's done now. Very different from 9 years ago when I was last pregnant.

Yukka · 13/04/2018 07:33

Yes go to hospital website under gynaecologist or mat sections and should be a form you can complete and submit. I'll be doing mine tomo if you can't find it I would agree phone gp office and check for your area xx

Hello,
I’m delighted to join you!
Stats:
Age 36
1 DS(2)
TTC 4 months
EDD 22/23rd Dec (depends where you look!)
Just got my BFP this morning (AF due tomorrow) Just been reading through the thread. Sounds like there are lots of symptoms for people already. I had an inkling as I absolutely screamed at DH yesterday on the phone, over something so trivial (I was at work too although outside so not in earshot of anyone thankfully!) also v sensitive boobs (nipples particularly) that’s about it so far for symptoms but early days I guess!
So happy to join you all! x

Snowflake9 · 13/04/2018 08:38

My nipples are super sore too! The bloating is crazy at the minute as well.

Husband is a twin so hoping I only have one baby in there haha.

Are any of you using an app? I’m using Ovia and it’s a cute little app, you get an email each morning too which is nice.

Lilly1207 · 13/04/2018 08:59

Hi ladies! Congratulations to you all! Please can I join too?! I have my BFP and should be due on 15th December ❤️👶🏼 Xx

GoldilocksTheGraceless · 13/04/2018 09:22

Morning everyone, so great to see so many of us! I'm getting super nervous right now as currently 3+6 which is terrifying as still 2 days before AF is due according to my usual cycle. I'm going to see friends this weekend so hopefully that will distract me a bit. Fx for all of us!

Mibby16 · 13/04/2018 09:59

Hi all, got a BFP this week after 6 months of trying. Already have DD, 7. Cant decide if im excited or terrified

Lilly1207 · 13/04/2018 10:11

Congratulations to you both!

My question... when do I tell my manager about my pregnancy? I have a very stressful job so I think she will need to know sooner rather than later but I’m just cautious of telling anyone too early xx

Mibby16 · 13/04/2018 10:38

Lilly Ive just told mine but we do some work with chemicals so I need to stop that immediately. Ive given him strict instructions not to tell anyone else

Lilly1207 · 13/04/2018 10:51

@Mibby16 thanks! Yes i think I may tell them next week in that case! I have my booking in appt with the midwife a week on Tuesday so I’m going to have to say something 😂🙈 how far are you? Xx
