@Ilovemypyjamas I'm so sorry, as the other ladies have said maybe it's not the worse case scenario? I had a subchrionic bleed at 5 weeks with my DS and lost quite a bit of blood.. had to wait 10 days for a scan and he was still hanging on and they saw a bit of the haematoma there still and told me to expect more bleeding, but fortunately it reabsorbed itself. Have you tried testing? If it was a MC, maybe this would show on a HPT?

Ilovemypyjamas · 10/04/2018 13:09

Thanks everyone, the midwife says she strongly suspects it is a mc but to take another preg test in a week just to be sure.

Exciting news though for everyone else, so good luck with your pregnancies ladies! Lots of hugs all round xx Smile

MummytoEandDxoxo · 10/04/2018 14:17

I'm so sorry to hear that xx

SpongeBobGrannyPants · 10/04/2018 16:00

Hi all, congrats to all the BFPs so far and I'm so sorry for your loss pyjamas.

Just got my BFP today! We're probably going to be extra cautious about telling people this time as suffered a late loss last time, but I'm looking forward to chatting to you all on here.

Age 35
TTC#4 (2 DC)
EDD for this one is around 14th Dec based on LMP but I ovulated late so think it'll be nearer to Christmas 🎅🏼

SpongeBobGrannyPants · 10/04/2018 16:19

pyjamas apologies.. I didn't read your post properly. Keeping everything crossed the mw is wrong xx

Yukka · 10/04/2018 17:23

@Natashaarr awwww that's amazing! I never you thought you'd be able to see something at 6 and a bit weeks hopeful for mine next week, waiting for a slot! You'll be fine up to the twelve weeks I'm sure, a heartbeat is such a strong element of growth at this stage! xx

@ILovemyPyjamas so sorry for you, I have been there, and many women on this thread have too, you're not alone and here to talk if you want to. it is much more common than we think. The most important thing is that you can get pregnant - it will just be a matter of time before one sticks. I had 2, and now on number 3 which so far is doing well (5w 3d). Stay positive, give yourself some time out and treats, and you'll be ready to try again xxxx sending lots of hugs xxxx

@Ilovemypyjamas aww I'm so sorry to hear that. Fingers crossed it's not as she expected. Until then do the usual people tell us to do....relax, don't get stressed and stay positive ❤️ we are all here if you need someone non RL to talk to.

Chatty81 · 10/04/2018 18:16

@ilovemyPyjamas I’m so sorry I don’t know what else to say xxx
I’m feeling better today but I’m struggling to sleep and very sore boobs
I told my children about the bean I felt so anxious but they were fab my daughter didn’t stop crying she was so happy so now it feels a bit real
I’ve got my early bird appointment this Monday so I can ask all my crazy questions xx
Hope everyone is doing good xx

natashaarr · 11/04/2018 09:38

@yukka I know I didn’t think so too! I think I’ll end up paying for a private scan before 12 weeks because I’m already panicking and it hasn’t even been 24 hours since my scan! Hopefully you get a slot soon, it is so small but you can see the heart flicker which is just amazing!

Booking in appointment today with the midwife, scary!

Mum0918 · 11/04/2018 11:36

Hey, so found out few days ago round 4weeks+5days and im due tongo on a hen weekend firdt wekend of may and i cant let me bride down, no1 knows about this pregnancy yet and like keep it that way if i can, can anyone give me ideas into how to hide or give reasons tonwhy i cant drink for the weekend?? Any help be good. :)

Tori3535 · 11/04/2018 12:14

Congrats @Mum0918
I’ve bern using the ‘dentist antibiotics’ excuse as they will make you very sick if you drink alcohol. My poor dentist is getting them blame for a lot!

JimmyPestoJunior · 11/04/2018 12:51

@Mum0918 my DH has been off alcohol for six weeks as he has an inflamed gallbladder so I've been telling everyone I've given up drinking too in order to be a supportive wife!

@natashaarr, I have my booking in appointment next week which seems really early as I'll only be 6+2. Hope yours goes well! Would you mind saying what happens at a booking appointment as I have no idea.

Mum0918 · 11/04/2018 13:27

Thank you i am at the dentist alot lately anyways so it a good one! Im scared in house she would take ot plus im her bridemaid for 29/5 so hopin i wont be showing or anything still lol

SpongeBobGrannyPants · 11/04/2018 13:58

mum0918 A hen do is a hard one! Personally having both hidden it before and come clean, I'd probably just tell them you're pregnant, but ask them to keep it to themselves given the gestation. Coming clean also means that if you're feeling a bit rubbish with first trimester yuckiness, you can take yourself off for a nap without anyone questioning it. There may be a few attending who've been in a similar situation in the first trimester, so will be sympathetic!

SpongeBobGrannyPants · 11/04/2018 14:03

... but if you're hiding it... (these excuses are often easier for just one off parties/nights as opposed to weekends), I've used the following - taking antibiotics/strong painkillers, need to drive early the next day, dieting/health kick/training for something, dry January (obvs only works in January 😂). The dieting/being healthy is the one I've found most convincing!

Mum0918 · 11/04/2018 16:21

Sadly no1 else is going who have ever been in the situation. Im thinking going with the painkillers as i know they want some kind of proof about it lol. Im sure ill work it out, thank you for the help :)

natashaarr · 11/04/2018 16:27

@jimmy I thought 6 weeks 4 days was early too but the midwife done a urine sample and blood test. We filled in lots of paper work including the referral letter for my 12 weeks scan. She took my blood pressure, weight and height. I won’t need to see her now until 14 weeks! X

GoldilocksTheGraceless · 11/04/2018 20:41

Hi everyone 😊 I'm shyly introducing myself after getting my BFP this morning at just 10dpo which puts me at 3+4. Treading lightly for now but wanted to join in!
I'm 27, cycle 4, #1

R7589 · 11/04/2018 21:37

Yay @GoldilocksTheGraceless welcome across 😊

MissMickyD · 12/04/2018 09:24

I also have a busy month of parties where I will need to hide my not drinking. Had my SIL 30th at the weekend, I had to tell her but she understands not to say anything as it is so early - she even helped by making my “beer” pong with non alcoholic drinks, it was fun pretending!! Still have my BF’s 30th this week, not sure I will cope again as I always have wine at any excuse🙈.

Have previously gone with the “on medication” excuse - I recommend as no one asks anything more.

I’m 4+4 and currently no real symptoms, anyone else the same? 😳

Bora88 · 12/04/2018 11:06

@MissMickyD - I have had a few friends birthdays these past few weeks and knew the antibiotics wouldn’t pass for all of them. And as I never say no to wine, they would know something was a miss... I bought a bottle of alcohol free wine from Tesco for one of our nights in & no one even clicked on.
Another birthday was a meal & drinks were I mainly drank lime & soda but passed it off as vodka lime & soda. Wetherspoons also had an alcohol free kopperberg cider which was a lifesaver. Just went to the bar alone & poured the contents into a glass before I got back to the table.

Hope these help

PineapplePrincess · 12/04/2018 13:54

Hi guys

Mind if I join? Currently 41 years young and 6+2 with hopefully DC2, suffered two miscarriages last year and a CP. One was at 11wks and ended up with a D&C, the other at 6 weeks. To say I'm a bag of nerves this time round in an understatement!?!

Due early December, but 1DC came three weeks early, so may be a November baby, all going well.

I have an early scan next week, so trying to focus on reaching that stage, but still know there are no guarantees as we got a heartbeat before my first miscarriage.

How is everyone containing there nerves? I'm sure people at work are beginning to look at me funny!?!

Mum0918 · 12/04/2018 14:12

Has anyone got any good way in telling your parents? Im 27 yet i dont want to do it. I know they be happy for me but im doing it all single and i think that will bother them that the dad not around? Help!

Snowflake9 · 12/04/2018 14:30

Hello all, hope you don’t mind me joining you.

After a crazy mood swing day which resulted in my leaving DH at work (he runs his own company and I work with him) and storming off home to sleep for 3 hours at 2 in the afternoon. I decided after bombarding him with text messages that I would have a bath, whilst waiting for it to run I decided to take a test.

There it was. 2 lines. Eyes all puffy from crying all afternoon , I don’t think and I text him!!! “I’m pregnant”

He comes home to find me in the bath with the stick on the side.

His first words were “you’ll be an execellent Mum “

I am due on December 11th and am 5 weeks and 5 days.

I want to tell the world !

I have been so angry and irritable these last two days. Nearly killed. DH this morning when he woke me at 5:45 talking nonsense and then he left his coffee on the stairs, which clumsy me, of course I knocked it over on out cream carpet. But hey! Nothing like a Bicker match before 7am.

How are you guys feeling in yourself ? Are your hormones causing major mood swings too? Hmm

Gemsie1984 · 12/04/2018 16:02

@Snowflake9 I've had intense mood swings!! Really irritable, like PMS x3. Hoping it calms down soon as I'm irritating myself with it now. Got sore boobs, cramps and occasional bouts of nausea. I'm 6 weeks today, due December 9th.
