Mc x 2 both at 5 weeks
4weeks and 2 days pregnant and praying its sticky!

@applesauce1 that's such a lovely outlet. I did a painting in memory of my mmc. And I loved being able to just paint and be creative.

Very random.. anyone had any cravings yet? I've been suffering with morning sickness however I woke up this morning with a craving for raw white onion.. had a salad for lunch and had half a white onion in it.. goodness knows what nutritional value in that I'm needing?!

@applesauce1 thats beautiful. I’ve just finished designing my own pregnancy journal and so chuffed to bits with it. I couldn’t find any I liked in the shops. And it’s a great thing to keep your mind busy during these long weeks.

@Cakelaur I’m thinking of you but spotting it so normal at this stage. My sister had it and had a perfect little girl. My friend also had a lot of bleeding and is having a perfect little boy. It’s not over yet. Just take it easy x x x

@cakelaur everything crossed for you that this is just normal spotting and nothing to worry about

Had an early scan this weekend, super strong little heartbeat and baby measuring exactly right for my dates. So pleased

Hi girls. I was going to book an early scan at 8 weeks but not sure if I can wait that long.

What was the earliest that you had a scan and heard the heartbeat?

I don’t want to book it too early that there’s nothing to see x

@Magicalcreagurss I think most advise 8 weeks as being the earliest although I had mine at 7 + 3 last time as we messed up on dates and we could see a little flutter.

Hi, can I join? I got a positive test on Friday and am 4 weeks +2 (?) calculator says I'm due 24th of December.
I had a miscarriage at 5 weeks in Feb this year, so pretty terrified this one will go the same way! I am getting period like cramps....which I had last time so who knows.... xx

Hello - I’m cautiously popping my head in after my BFP this weekend. Nervous as it will be our third babba and I’m older these days.

@cakelaur keeping everything crossed for you - I had brown spotting with both my boys that made me nervy.

@magicalcreatures I had a dating scan with my first as I conceived just after I came off the pill and saw a heartbeat at just before 6 weeks. Same with my second son. But all that was expected the second time was a gestational sac. The longer you can wait the better.

Also with my first we had a scan at 8 weeks and the difference was incredible to the one I had to date 2 weeks before!

How worrying @Cakelaur. I had spotting (well, actually had brown and red blood!) with my dd through entire first trimester and all was ok. Incidentally, I had not one drop with my second trimester loss. Stay positive. The nausea is a good sign!

Thanks @spongebobgrannypants pretty much the same here tbh. Still just light red blood on wiping. A little more crampy this evening so who knows!

Balalala and cakelaur big hand holds. Seeing any colour of blood, even small amounts is just terrifying. I had a big brown bleed at 5 wks with my son and a huge red bleed at 23 wks too, utterly terrifying. Distract yourself as much as possible and fingers crossed the scans will give good news. Hello and welcome to the newbies. Lovely painting applesauce.

Dunno about you @balalalala I just feel awful!! Like my body is failing me. I can't figure out whether I feel sick with nerves or with baby. And the cramps I've been having since I got my bfp I can't figure out if they're stronger, or I'm just more aware. 😭 I hate this!! I was doing ok being kinda calm until this today.

@cakelaur 100% there with you! It's so horrible. I've finally stopped properly for the first time since the bleeding started and I'm surprised at how hard it's all hit me. I just feel so sad and 'wrong'.

Mines just started up again now. And it's pink now. Guessing eventually it'll turn to red and then it'll be over!! 😭

Sickness has kicked in for me and it's horrible 🤢 hoping not every day will be like the previous two!

MIL bled throughout her pregnancy with DH (after several miscarriages) and he came out ok, so I think it can be nothing to worry about

Morning everyone. I was up before 5am with my 2yo playing silly buggers so I'm soo tired now. Also when I was getting ready for work I started throwing up luminous yellow acid. I wasn't even feeling sick at that particular moment. I seem to be swinging between feeling really nauseous like I might throw up to that "I'm so hungry I feel sick" feeling .
I'm still suffering this awful cough/cold/laryngitis so the coughing with that is churning my stomach too.

I generally feel shit and I'm sure my boss is going to have a go at me later because I've had I think 5 or 6 sick days so far this year plus other days -working from home- off when 2yo has been ill. I've only had like 2 sick days in the past 5 years working here but he won't care about that. I've not told him about the pregnancy just yet but to say he won't exactly be jumping for joy to congratulate me is an understatement.

@cakelaur how are you getting on? Did you get through to the epu? I've told my boss this morning who is being very supportive and told me to take it as it comes and update him as needed.
