I think I would need some kind of crane and winch mechanism to do one at the moment!

BIL's an ex-gymnast and now a ballet dancer. He can do press-ups while doing a handstand.

Come to my bbq you lot and I will force him to demonstrate.

Excellent. If enough of you come I'll get him to put on a show. Or at the very least do the splits a few times, few somersaults round the garden maybe. For the entertainment of the babies or something obviously...

MrsJB, you could simply come back to the UK and let them all rent out your house together in your absence

Mrsjafa (who I still want to call FSF)

I am really hoping your childbirth thread turns into a good labor thread. We May ladies need to represent and get some serious labor threads. I already know the title of mine.

Afternoon! "Birth room" now clear of boxes. Huzzah! In answer to your question, Cameroonmama, yes I live in a mansion. Arf! Just kidding. We do however, have more bedrooms than we currently need. Last owner of the house had the master bedroom on the rear of the first floor and the bedroom opposite it, at the front, as a "dressing room", so we've kept it as such for now. (Mainly because we don't own any wardrobes and the "dressing room" already had cupboards all round it.) Anyway, had planned to give birth in the bedroom, but the m/w said it would be nice if we cleared the yet-to-be unpacked boxes out of the dressing room so I can "retreat" to a nice clean bedroom afterwards whilst they and DH clear up after the birth. Sounded like a fab idea to me.

SOH, don't animals go a bit mental when their owners are about to give birth? I heard this about someone's dog, recently...

Am a yes for your bbq by the way!

Hello, hello, hello!

Do you know what I did last night? Read back some of the old May threads from the beginning of the pregnancies (the only thing on tv was The Wedding Planner, which did not demand all my faculties) - it was quite good fun, a bit like reading a novel. I only read up to January and I did skim read. It was sad to read some of the people who started off with us and never made it to where we are - Nicola63 for example - made me realise that I should count my blessings (as if there weren't enough reminders at the moment ) and also the people who started and never came back, not sure if some were namechangers - sheepgomeep? - and a good giggle at the Hallowe'en/Bonfire Night/Christmas names, LGT and SOH porn discussion (nun with a shaved fanjo!) and SOH's studious ignoring of anyone else who liked the name Matilda - twas very funny, and would be good for anyone up in the night to keep them entertained!

I was awake at 4.30am, and haven't been back since - cue a trip to ASDA this afternoon and the purchase of vanilla slice and lemon bonbons, which I have craved for ages and not been able to find. Needless to say I scoffed the whole bag of lbbs, and now have a sugar crash to contend with as well as a general fatigue. I have also bought ds two presents for when the baby arrives, an Elefun game which is ace, he played it at my goddaughter's house, basically it's catching butterflies in nets, and a Spiderman figure from his brother/sister, usually I would eschew a Spiderman figure, but it is his favourite thing to talk about/read about right now, and the need for his sibling to curry favour with him outweighs my personal sartorial preference for a wholesome novel or wooden educational toy

Made an appointment for some waxing tomorrow, but not my bikini line, I'm sure the medical staff have seen worse. My eyebrows and upper lip however, need severe attention. I'm also going to make a hair appointment for next week, in an attempt to look nice after birth (or at least have less than two inches of root on my caramel highlights.

SOH - rooting for you! Also Mrs jb, you could be on your way too! Creena - awaiting your news also! JL - sorry that baby didn't turn, but there's a light at the end of the tunnel for you. Everyone else: hello and keep well!

Ella has a sore tummy today, been very windy and crying a lot just been told by my boss that its probably down to the fruit i have been eating! so theres me trying to be healthy and all the while its making Ella grumpy. Back to boring unhealthy food for me then.

Evening all, I have just written down a list of who does what when for the coming weekend, including what the kids need in their lunchboxes. I have tried to persuade dh to log into mn and post for me when the baby comes but sadly he is convinced you are not really a bunch of heavily pregnant ladies, expounding on the joys of pregnancy and childbirth, but a bunch of paedophiles and stalkers, grooming us all into meeting up to abduct our children and worse.

How do you think I am going to persuade him to go to SOH bbq? I have a feeling that the gymnastic BIL will not help swing it....

AM - my African ladies all told me the same thing, too much fruit gives the wee ones bad tummies, specifically mangoes, though I have a feeling you are probably not eating many of those Hope Ella settles better tomorrow.

Well im no where near in Labour im afraid..if it werent for the fact that Im immobile and SPD ruddy killing and Im huge, I wouldnt think I was PG at all..no show for me, not even any BH today..baby waiting for DH to leave these shores, I just know it..you might get an emergency call TYG and have to pem up the A10 in the middle of the night...
(is there anything you can do for SPD does anyone know?)

Well April thats the kind of excuse I like to eat doughnuts!(poor Ella though). Here is another: noticed today when I was passing the bakers, (alright was in the bakers buying self a cream horn) that this week is in fact national doughnut week! Was only a bit dissapointed that no one off the threead has been approached to give comment/appear in publicity shots for it-we would surely have been a great advert for it!

Cats know SOH..allegedly-But then our one didnt give a monkeys last time..Hope DH got back from Alton Towers ok..

Glad you feel a bit brighter Cam-have been thinking of you...viewings went ok I guess-one was a second one and I dont think they liked it as much this time around..the first couple this morning (at 9am, gaaah!), were lesbian ladies-I hope they have it just as it will cause a stir in the village..they had enough bother with people who moved from London, (us), never mind a same sex couple!

Bet your sister will dote on the baby though lwatkins, she wont be able to help herself..

Might have a read through some of the old threads Intheseshoes, will be nice to reminise a bit..

Hope our Hugs is beahving himself largegandt and that you are getting a wee rest in..

Wonder how Creena is and Good Luck tomorrow Anemne!

Lily is meant to have her MMR tomorrow, but she is made up with cold, has a bit of a temperature and has been a bit quiet and out of sorts all day..so might well give it a miss, (for the 4th time, she has been ill before every single one, they will think Im trying to avoid it)Will see how she is in the am..

Structural engineer and builder coming tomorrow to tell us if our house really is falling down or not..Will be a bit upset if it is...then going to get Lily some new shoes,as she has already grown out of her ones- another £20 for about 6 weeks wear, ruddy Clarkes!!

night all, odds on another baby by the morning-ive a feeling about it!
