SKYTVADDICT · 04/05/2007 17:00

Forgot to say lovely piccies Lupins

Mrsjaffabiffa · 04/05/2007 17:03

Oh SKY, I'm so sorry about your neice. poor thing.

Pebble, I can't believe your brothers just gone. I know you were sad a few weeks ago about him leaving. I'm not surprised you feel hurt. Sometimes people just can't see how upsetting their actions are. Hopefully you'll get the chance to speak to him soon and give him your support but let him kow how you feel about him going without saying good bye.

Jonah, pack your bag lady it's not done and congratulations on finishing work.

SOH, I'm exactly the same, it's the loo thing and as I stand out of bed for a wee in the night. Are they going to break "now" ? if I bounce down the stairs on the way to the loo will that make it happen? If I have a little jig on the loo will that do the trick? I am going or have gone MAD surely. My waters didn't even start Labour with the other 2. lol

Afternoon All

Everyone has (sniff) been so (sniff) lovely to me (sniff) today!

Thank you all for your kind B'day wishes, SOH that link was fabulous! I made the cake blow up and catch on fire lol, nearly wet myself laughing!

Cam very happy for you that DH is coming home today, bet your a very happy lady!

TYG I'm sorry you had a crappy nights sleep, it's not much fun.

Julie hope you haven't overdone it with the cleaning. Take the rubber gloves off, put them down and back away slowly. Now go and sit down and eat some cake

Abby sorry your ds is being a 'little demon' lol. Can't you just give him a cardboard box to play with? For some reason this always worked with me and my sisters when we were younger. Hours of fun with our boxes. God knows why and what we did with them, but it worked! Easily ammused.

BB your neighbours won't know what's hit them with the crying baby. They should be doing everything in their power not to p**s of the heavily pregnant lady next door imo. Oh your revenge for sleepless nights will be sweet my dear

SKY have a lovely lunch, fingers crossed for your niece

SOH que for 8 hours, yes a little bit mad! Could nobody else get them, or could you get them online or via the phone perhaps? Or is that just equally as stressfull as queing for 8 hours?!

AM yes I'm going home tommorrow - for good!

Scoot my lovely sounds to me like you need a rest. Have along hot soak in the tub and chill out in the garden. Don't go feeling bad for not wanting to have to entertain people, do you think your mum's just stressed and worried about you? That's maybe why she's getting a bit.....cranky and funny? With regards to the boiler, I'd knock it out and then take great pleasure in hammering the crap out of it in pure frustration

MKG glad you got a good nights sleep lady, always makes you feel better doesn't it?

Lupins your pictures are so gorgeous! Arlen is soooo tiny and Willow is beautiful! I love her red and white gingham trousers btw!

RK welcome back They're all really chatty in here. And they still talk about naughty things.....like porn! Sssshhhhhhh, you didn't here it from me.

Waves to Mrsjb, hellllooooooo!

Oh wow that has taken a long time to type lol, gassbags that you all Have had a lovely day, despite the fact I have had NO sleep. Yes I have done my presentation, PASSED. Tutor very impressed, my group got the most feedback out the whole class and she used ours as the example of 'what this presentation really needed to be about'. Well, one does try Also got my written work finished and that has been handed in Still have one more essay to do that's due in on the 25th but will do that at home.

Recieved lots of cards and presents from the girls on my course, mostly baby stuff that is SO cute you wouldn't believe. I feel very spoilt sat here eating my box of Terry's all gold milk chocolates. Got lots of email addresses and mobile no.s shoved into my hands, everyone wants to be kept updated on the baby lol. Flatmates haven't said a word to me as of yet. Oh but you know Isaac, the african guy I had problems with (flatmate)? He put 2 cards under my door earlier. One Birthday card and one Baby card I haven't seen him since way before Easter, how did he know it was my B'day?!! Feel bad for saying anything negative about him in the past now. He's the one flatmate that's done something nice for me today and remembered. How bizzare and totally lovely at the same time

Dad coming to get me early tommorrow morning, Oh ladies I can't begin to explain how happy I am to be going home!

Lwatkins · 04/05/2007 17:11

Oh Sky I'm so sorry for your niece. Took so long writing my last post that I hadn't seen your post about her! Oh how truly sad for her, and you

Mrsjaffabiffa · 04/05/2007 17:15

Well done on your presentation LW, and I'm glad you've had a lovely day. May birthdays are definately good ones. Although I'm a bit scared about turning 30. Aghhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh Luckily you have a way to think about that one you lovely spring chicken you.

Lwatkins · 04/05/2007 17:27

Thank you Mrsjb, I still can't believe I'm 20 though! I'm no longer ateenager, and I have a baby on the way. People are going to expect me to be responsible!!!

Pebble Oh you poor thing, must admit your brothers actions aren't very thoughtfull. I understand you must be feeling very hurt, I remember when you first posted about him moving to Ireland and how upset you were then. Sounds like he has definatley just got his head in the sky with this new relationship and new life in Ireland, I'm sure he didn't mean to upset you all so much. Probably just not thinking, have some chocolate from me

Jonah congrats on finishing work, it's great that feeling isn't it? The 'I can now sit on my arse, eat and do f**c all' feeling?

Lwatkins · 04/05/2007 17:29

Lupins I've done nothing but sit at a computer and type for the past few weeks so hand is well practised lol

Mrsjaffabiffa · 04/05/2007 17:32

Annemme - I meant to say, my BF in the Uk had Obsteric cho... (can't spell it) she said that the itching is really UNBEARABLE, she scratched the palms of her hands and the soles of her feet to bleeding point at night. It is worse at night because lying down means that the bile in your liver settles and has NO where to go which causes the itching. She was due to have a c-sec anyway as bubba was footling breech but she ended up having it early due to the condition. She was 38 weeks when her ds was born and they were both perfectly healthy after, she had to have some blood tests and liver checks done for a few days after. You should mention it to your midwife when you see her but I thought I'd let you know how it turned out for her.

Oh my word, lots of chatting today!

LWatkins, happy birthday! Do you know, I can't believe that you are 20 either, I am old enough to be your Mum! Glad everyone was so nice to you, do make sure to make lots of lovely noise as you leave the flat early tomorrow won't you, and some mess in the kitchen, even if you have to go and get it from some bins outside...

I am absolutely knackered today, have dropped ds off at school, been to visit a friend with a dodgy cervix who has been sitting down since her 14 week of pregnancy and will have to remain seated for the foreseeable future (she's 26 weeks now). Then I came home and really cleaned the kitchen, to the point where I was wondering if I was nesting, until a friend appeared at the door needing coffee and comfort because her dh was pissing her off, had to rush into town to Jonah and my stalking place for coffee and a sandwich with another mate, pick up ds from school and then go to the park with him and two friends and thier mums. Phew!

Jonah, I am so pleased for you that you have finally finished work - maybe we can meet up in the stalking emporium and have a leisurely coffee and muffin on a working day just because we can? Let me know

Lwatkins · 04/05/2007 19:06

Flatmates have just left a lovely card and a HUGE Me To You bear outside my door. (I love me to you stuff!) I feel like a royal shit, why couldn't they just have continued to ignore me then I wouldn't feel bad about moaning about them all so much!

More hormonal tears, what a nice day and end to uni in Bristol

Mrsjaffabiffa · 04/05/2007 19:17

ahhhhhhhhhh thats lovely LW. I have a box of me to you stuff in the loft, bears, cards, mugs etc..... I used to love it too but now have no where to put them.

OP posts:
cinnamontam · 04/05/2007 19:44

Happy Birthday LW. Don't feel guilty bout the flatmates. Card and bear is nice but they have still been bloody hard work for you to live with and don't get off that easily! Little bit more taking care of LW along the way would have been better methinks

Sky - hugs for your neice.

Lupins - great pics

JonahB - welcome to matleave...I'm just starting to get the hang of it. Started tidying nursery today and will start making curtains tomorrow

MKG - glad you got a decent nights sleep. My sis only remembers losing her mucus plug with 1 out of her 3

Pebble - sorry your bro has scarpered off on all of you like that

Scoot - hideaway i say. If you are not feeling up to it then that is just fine

SOH - can't someone else queue for you. You gotta rest up woman. Arrival of the Mathilda is imminent...I'm sure of it

scootermum · 04/05/2007 20:03

Glad you had a nice bday lwatkins...and have a good journey back tomorrow-will you still be able to get on?

My Mum came back from garden centre and has since been nice as ninepence, and planted me up two hanging baskets which id been meaning to get round to but hadnt, which is the closest she will ever come to apologising..sigh..cant be bothered with it..They are off tomorrow anyway, which is for the best at the moment methinks..

Well good news is the boiler is OK-DH fixed it..bad news is that now the element in the oven has gone!Whatever...I mean its the very limit!Im doing nothing about it-I just wont cook anything that requires an oven..stir frys for us henceforth then...pasta-pot noodle-loads of things we can eat!

Congrats on finishing work Jonah..and welcome back redkennedy!

Sending labour vibes to you SOH and you MKG now..and SKY-Cant be long now surely-well it cant can it?Its May and thats the end of it!

Pebble your bro sounds very like mine-little bit selfish but still the apple of everyones eye..does sound like the Girlfriend is a nasty bit of work though to be honest..

Hi hi to everyone else..

Have sent parents and DH next door for their tea..(its finally happened-unbelievably-have finally lost my apetite1!)DD has gone to bed like a little angel-gonna go myself in a bit I think with my 'puter and a DVD to watch..

Mae keeps kicking me hard in the nethers-very uncomfy!

Lwatkins · 04/05/2007 20:24

Well dad has set of already and will probs got to Bristol at about 4am, he'll make a few stops for rest etc. He'll sleep for a couple of hours at a service station then come get me at about 6 tommorrow morning, load the car up and we'll head back home. Poor man will be knackered, he's been at work all day, driving all night, little rest then driving back home. Luckily I'm a chatty passenger so no danger of him falling asleep with me going on about everything that's not important!!!

Yes Scoot will definatley be able to still get on as my computer will get set up at home. I couldn't abandon my fellow May mum's now could I!

Is LG&T ok? She hasn't been on today.

scootermum · 04/05/2007 20:32

I was going to say-you would have missed the really exciting bit!Bless your Pa drving all that way and back, lovely man..

Amanda Holden is on Parkinson tomorrow-I have a really irrational dislike of that woman, absolutely no foundation for it at all!But will still have to watch Parky as David Tennant is on and I love him..

aprilmeadow · 04/05/2007 20:34

Sky - sorry to hear of your Neice's loss.

Jonah - welcome to the wonders of maternity leave!

LW - hope you have a safe journey back home tomorrow x

Lupins - what lovely pictures!

SOH - just picture lupins dd with darker hair and old and then you get Lupins herself! And also..... no more thoughts of queuing for 8 hrs MRS!!

Scoot - omg surely there cant be anything else left to go wrong?! I think i would be a snivelling wreck by now!

Welcome back to the madness RK

Where is LG&T????

Opened Ella's bank account today and sent off the child benefit forms - such an exciting day!!

Will there be any babies in the night???

LupinsBigLump · 04/05/2007 21:13

OI APRILMEADOW!!! What do you mean darker hair and old!!! I aint that old lol

I was wondering about LGT as well, hope she is ok, maybe baby Beau is making an appearance

I am soooooo annoyed with my dp (if fact drop the d) am seriously starting to thing I may as well be single for all the love and support I get, I know re totally we are totally skint but I really didnt want to cook tnite, so I suggested we get pizza and I have a hot bath, so I got told he wouldnt put pizza on his credit card as it was for his motorbike and wouldnt watch kids while i had a bath, then said well get pizza if it will stop you sulking, by which time i had lost my appetite, so i said no, he said well i wont eat anything you cook, i said fine, then he got the arse because i wouldnt cook or get take away, cue him leaving to go over mates, he hasnt done anything to help with Arlen yet, no nappy no feed, moaned when i asked him to hold him the other day so i could get a feed ready - why am i staying???? at the moment i really dont know, but i dont know how to leave

Sorry for my moan, feeling low

MKG · 04/05/2007 21:25

OK Lupins take a deep breath.

Now how much of what your feeling comes down to major hormonal shifts and sleep deprivation?

Some men don't help with babies. My nephew is 16 months and my bil has never made a bottle or changed a diaper. That being said, there is no excuse for it, but I think you need to sit down with him and explain calmly and rationally that you need a little help.

scootermum · 04/05/2007 21:27

O lupins at your DH..In this day and age I dont think all the not helping jazz i acceptable..for his motorbike?Tch...its only a pizza...Plus I be you are a bit knackered as well which probably doesnt help at all...
Does he get up in the night with the little man at all?

scootermum · 04/05/2007 21:30

you are right MKG-She does need to have a proper talk with him-but I would be too mad to manage it I think!

Any movement with your lo today hon?

largeginandtonic · 04/05/2007 21:34

Hello all

HAPPY BIRTHDAY Lwatkins, you go home tomorrow dont you? Are you all excited and....packed????!!!!

SKY im so sorry about your niece, im glad she has an answer for it though, not knowing is awful. Hugs to her

DEJAGS i dont believe it, you had a cephalic baby after all that??? So very pleased for you, and a little girlie too. I does bloody hurt but at least it goes away quickly. I love her name too, so cute. Pics please

Im getting my hair done tomorrow at 1pm, so no baby before then. Chances are it will happen tonight and my hair is yuk. Been marching round town and seen my mother, then went to toddlers. SPD is killing me at night now, i fell out of bed last night for a wee and hit the DVD on button. The thing flew in to action and opened up, Hugs sat up in bed and said TV on? He was up alot last night, i may have to put him on ebay.

Hope you are all ok, i missed you all today.

scootermum · 04/05/2007 21:34

It has been a bit quiet on here this eve...perhaps everyone is off having their babies?!

I dont think im ready yet-by which I mean mentally and practically prepared-hosp bag is packed but have just realised I dont really know whats in it, and I still cant believe im about to have another baby..it just doesnt seem real..
Will do soon enough though I guess, when the contractions start that will be reality check enough..

cameroonmama · 04/05/2007 21:35

oh Lupins, sorry to hear you are so down..its always difficult at the beginning when both of you are so tired and life has changed for you all, I hope you manage to get some time to talk to each other. By the way your pictures are adorable, Arlen looks so tiny but obviously has a fabulous big sister to look out for him.

Scoot - I can't believe what unbelievable bad luck you are having at the moment, the only consolation is that it can't go on!

Where is LG&T????

LW, your dad sounds wonderful, they do such amazing things sometimes for their little girls
