@caoraich sorry to hear you've been diagnosed with HG - the HG thread that's active atm is called Hyperemesis Support, have they prescribed anything? I've been given Promethazine to help ms but have only just started taking it, feeling very drowsy 😴

I have been spotting/bleeding lightly for a week now. I had a scan on Tues at 6w 1d and saw the gestational sac and yolk sac. They put me back a few days, said it was all normal, and booked me another scan in two weeks’ time. I didn’t bleed with dd but that was how I knew I was miscarrying both times previously. No symptoms either but if I’m not quite 6w I guess that would make sense. Such a worry. Hope you’re all faring much better.

Anban · 23/02/2018 12:24

Hello.

Got a bfp on Wednesday.

EDD: 29th October
Age: 29
Baby #1
Second pregnancy, miscarried in October with blighted ovum.

Pretty excited but not getting too attached after last time. However, feel more body effects so fingers crossed!

ATP1000 · 23/02/2018 14:25

@effram I will be 7 weeks at the scan. I am 5w+2 today. Still reading 2-3 on CB, however I’ve just gone for a private blood test as i am too impatient! Hcg measures 5070, the range at 5 weeks is 217-7000, so I’m on track.
I’ve read somewhere that blood hcg is 1.5x stronger than urine so that takes me to 3380 which I think would only just register as 3w on CB so maybe this weekend. Also the small print on CB says only 50% accurate on the weeks prediction! 🙈🤦‍♀️

Hello to @anban and @SaintExupery, I am so sorry for your earlier losses, it is such a stressful time. I’ve havent had spotting yet but my sister in law and my auntie both had it early on and they carried on with healthy pregnancies, they both went straight to the hospital/gp when it started, my mum also had blood group incompatibility with my brother and nearly lost him, the doctor gave her some tablets, she doesn’t remember he name but there are things they can do to help.
Think of you all xx

choccybuttonshelpeverything · 23/02/2018 16:02

Hi ladies. I'm currently 6w+5 due 14/10
3 non consecutive miscarriages behind me and one lovely 2 year old Dd.
Already had a scan at 6 weeks which showed a wee heartbeat, still struggling to relax though. 😢

BiscayTrafalgarFitzroy · 23/02/2018 17:25

Glad to hear your bloods are good @ATP1000.

I'm going for my 3+ tomorrow morning. Can't wait till Sun. Will be 5+4.

FrauNeuer · 23/02/2018 21:49

Best wishes to all those who are having early scans. It’s sooo nerve wracking isn’t it?! Lots of us seem to be pregnant after previous mc which is so sad. Sad I don’t think the worry will ever really go, it’s more a case of developing ways of dealing with the anxiety better.

choccy good that you’ve seen a heartbeat at 6w. Smile Apparently that significantly increases the chance of everything being ok. At least that’s what the clinic told me! Were you told that, too?

SaintExupery · 23/02/2018 23:28

Thank you @ATP1000 for your kind words.

BiscayTrafalgarFitzroy · 24/02/2018 08:26

Well I have gone fully neurotic. I haven't tested for a week now so have got itchy fingers.

I couldn't hold my wee all night without going to the toilet so there's no point going for the 3+ on the digital this morning. Also my headache has gone which has made me worried. Please someone talk some sense into me.

Strictly no drinks after dinner time tonight!

tappitytaptap · 24/02/2018 08:50

Congrats to the new BFPs and sympathies to those with HG...I can't imagine how bad that must be as normal morning sickness nausea is bad enough!
Anyone else really sensitive to smells? DH made eggy bread for breakfast and the smell of it frying really set my stomach on edge. Walking past the coffee machines at work has the same effect even though normally I love coffee.

Hi @BiscayTrafalgarFitzroy, my symptoms are only sore boobs, bit bloated/tender around uterus area and not being able to walk as quickly as before. I don’t feel sick unless I haven’t eaten for a several hours, no headaches. I’m expecting it all to kick in next week, around 6 weeks.
I did a test this morning and got 3+, I am 5+3 today. Everyone is different but it’s worth a go tomorrow if that’s what you’re planning! Don’t worry if it’s not though, these tests really are not very sensitive.

New to Mumsnet and trying to join this thread, am due in October (touch wood!)

lucindaanna · 24/02/2018 12:34

I'm using the mumsnet app on an iPhone and have read the FAQs but am struggling a bit - do I just keep checking the threads I am "following"? I don't seem to be receiving any push notifications for new posts on these threads. And although I've selected my "favorite" topics from the general menu, these don't seem to act as a filter... so every time I open the app I just see a list of sponsored threads follows by a random selection(?) Am I missing something?

EffRam · 24/02/2018 13:06

@BiscayTrafalgarFitzroy I also have no symptoms. I, however, have less self restraint than you so have continued to test. it's all fine, and lots of websites and people say no symptoms at 5 weeks (and beyond!!) normal and fine. Big hug!

Hi All,

First time poster and newbie baby mama, know nothing really. 8+1 (I think) due date 05/10 . Finally starting to sink in after a month of disbelief. Had planned to start trying later this year as fairly new in job but then accidental but happy positive after boozy skiing trip... First midwife appointment next week. Trying to be excited but worrying and also, worrying about telling work (I’ll have just come out of my probation period..)

Congrats all and nice to have some support on here. 🖖

BiscayTrafalgarFitzroy · 24/02/2018 18:03

Thanks @Milknosugar1, @EffRam and @ATP1000

I'm feeling a bit better now. This time a month ago I was thinking if I get a bfp I'll be so happy. I am so so happy but didn't anticipate the anxiety of this first trimester. Roll on 12 weeks!

Penny31 · 24/02/2018 18:12

Omg I’m so ill. I have had awful nausea since 11.30 and now I can barely keep my eyes open. Trying not to complain too much!

EffRam · 24/02/2018 19:33

@lucindaanna when I look on my phone at the bottom is something with a pin saying 'I'm on' and that takes me to all threads I'm following with recent posts?

@milknosugar1 I've been doing internet cheapies as have also enjoyed seeing them get darker, but I've decided to (try to) stop now as I've read they can start to get fainter and I know that would freak me out! I've got one digi saved that I want to do on Monday morning and hopefully get 3+ but am trying to just be zen and trust that what will be will be... hopefully there will be a few more symptoms from six weeks which will make it easier?

Got letter through for my 12 week scan today, and it's on my birthday! Nothing from midwife yet. We might go for an early scan around eight weeks.

@milknosugar with my Dd I joined an nct class. It was so worthwhile. 4 years later and I’m still really good friends with 4 out of 7 of them :)

Hi ladies! I'm on the October bus (just!) due 30th Oct with my first dc Smile
I'm not really having any symptoms yet, slightly more tired than normal but that's about it Confused is this normal for this stage? My apps tell me I'm 4 weeks 4 days and trying to not be too anxious about it all!
