BiscayTrafalgarFitzroy · 22/02/2018 06:46

Hi Newbies.

Slightly worried here because my headache and nausea seem to have lessened a lot. Panicking that I should have more symptoms. I'm 5+2. Anyone else had this?

BiscayTrafalgarFitzroy · 22/02/2018 06:47

Plus I have 2 friends at work who are slightly further along and they are really sick which is making me feel like there's something wrong with me!

ATP1000 · 22/02/2018 07:09

Hi @BiscayTrafalgarFitzroy I was going to ask you how you were feeling and if you’re testing for a 3+ on CB? I am 5+1 and still on 2-3. Just waiting for it to tip into 3+, I’ve seen other comments that it’s not as sensitive at this stage with people going for 7w scans, all good but still registering 2-3 so maybe they’re just trying to make a lot of money out of us!!!
My symptoms are mild, a bit dizzy and nauseous yesterday but i realised last night both had disappeared and was a bit worried but then again, it seems like it all kicks in around 6w.

I have the same thought as you every day, but as long as I’m not in severe pain or bleeding then I’m trying to be patient!

Have you done any further tests ?

EyeBaggage · 22/02/2018 07:22

Morning everyone! Hope everyone's feeling ok? Just wondered if anyone else has come down with a cold?

I'm bricking it ATM because last time I was pregnant DS (18 months) had a virus (possible hand foot and mouth) and breastfed constantly

I then got ill with massive ulcers all over my tongue and inside my mouth. I lost the baby at 7 weeks.

I'm not sure if being really ill could have caused it but I've now got horrible cold symptoms and I'm only 5 weeks - what can I do other than eat right and drink lots of fluids?

rachkmp · 22/02/2018 07:24

Morning ladies, just wanted to fill you in on the 8 week scan I had last night. Apparently I'm 8 weeks 4 days! But they said that could alter at the 12 week scan.

Baby has a good strong heartbeat and they even let us listen to it which was nice! On the pic you can see head at top then little body, arm & leg buds and yolk sac at the bottom - so surreal, looks like a little gummy bear!

Still feeling like absolute crap today but happier about it now that I've seen what's growing 😅

To the ladies saying about no symptoms I know two of the girls at my work had little to no symptoms throughout their whole first trimester, they were like superwomen! Both have beautiful babies now.

BiscayTrafalgarFitzroy · 22/02/2018 08:18

@ATP1000 I am bloody exhausted. Actually, since I wore my last post, I have felt a bit queasy! Never thought I would see the day where I'm happy to feel sick.

Stranger symptoms I seem to be having are waking up early, about 4-5am and can't get back to sleep. Also I have gone completely off sweet food. The thought of chocolate is making me feel sick but I have mega cravings for salty, greasy savoury foods!

Theoretically I should be showing 3+ on a digital but I'm going to leave it until Sunday to test as I've heard they can be a temperamental and they are expensive!

monkerina · 22/02/2018 08:47

My symptoms come and go a bit too, despite seeing a happy little 7 week baby with heartbeat on Tuesday! According to my (in no way OCD) notes from DS the sickness kicked in properly at about 8 weeks, so try not to worry. Some people just tolerate HCG well and don't get many symptoms Smile

The digis can be inaccurate so try not to read into it! And I'm completely off cake Shock too but am fantasising about roast chicken and French bread... Last time I distinctly remember crying because I just NEEDED sausage and mash so badly Blush

Laney79 · 22/02/2018 08:52

@ATP1000 same here with the waking up! I'm really tired but waking anytime from 4-5.30am and can't drop back off! So frustrating as I know I need the rest!

Saw GP yesterday-she put my EDD a week later than I thought it was on the maternity exemption form-she put 24/10 but nhs due date calc says 17/10...hoping it's the 17th as that would mean I'm that bit closer to 10/12 weeks. I'm a bit scared I might miscarry (first ever pregnancy and I'm 38, 39 in July) - just so want littleun to stick and be well!

EffRam · 22/02/2018 09:38

@ATP100 and @BiscayTrafalgarFitzroy I also got worried about lack of symptoms but then keep reminding myself it's very early (I'm a couple of days behind you guys too, I'm 4+6). Felt really nauseous all day yesterday (and was weirdly excited about feeling ill!!) and today fine. Also I had really bad lower back cramps (Very period like!) and my joints were incredibly painful when I got into bed last night but fine this morning. Although I've got a cold and so was feeling grot all night with that and don't know if that caused the joint pain - had to get up for a wee every 2 hours! I do always wee more when I have a bug but not that much.

So you are not alone, @EyeBaggage - I am going for fluids, early nights, and lots of fruit and veg. Hope you feel better soon, and hope others hoping for symptoms feel ?worse?!

I would like to see the 3+ but going to wait until well into next week as have read too much about people not getting it for a while and I know I'll worry! I went to my mum's for the night last night and managed not to tell her which felt like a huge achievement. I want to tell her and my dad together so keep reminding myself it will be even better if I wait a few weeks and touch wood everything goes fine rather than now when it's still so ridiculously early on.

I've got so much work to do as I've been distracted all week so determined to focus today and catch up... wish me luck!

EffRam · 22/02/2018 10:09

@eyebaggage also I'm so sorry for your loss. Sounds so awful but hopefully will not be so serious this time round.

EyeBaggage · 22/02/2018 10:20

Thanks Effram - trying not to obsess and worry Sad

twobambinos · 22/02/2018 14:42

Sorry for your loss @eyebaggage. Unfortunately it is so common 1 in 4 pregnancies the consultant told me today it might not have been anything to do with being sick. Hopefully this cold will pass for you soon.

We had our early scan today and measuring 9 weeks so Edd end of September but I have a history of going overdue so I'd be fairly sure it's Oct. Got our little pic to take away it's much the same as @rachkmp above heard the heart beat too. Such a relief isn't it?

@laney79 your doctor is probably giving u a chance to work for longer before starting mat leave by putting down the later date.

@atp1000 my cb took ages to move on. They are a marketing ploy I'm sure to get us to buy more. Try not to worry easier said than done i know.

Welcome to all the newbies mama and cosy.

And everyone else symptoms come and go try not to worry. But I suppose its all part of it.

Anyone else suffering heartburn already?

Mama87 · 22/02/2018 15:36

Baby number 5 due in Oct but i have to say even though this is number 5 i still worry alot!!! I have never had spotting/implantation bleeding with any of my children and have not started with any type of sickness til around 6 weeks. Currently i have huge sore boobs and backache and need to pee alot!! Everyone is different and everyone feels different things its just so nice to have so many lovely ladies to talk to through this special time, can't wait for my little halloween pumpkin lol x

Penny31 · 22/02/2018 17:54

6 weeks today and bam I feel rough! Was worried about lack of symptoms but I feel terrible today so it’s weirdly reassuring. But I’m struggling to get through the day, I feel so sick 🤢

I’m telling my parents tonight, feel kind of nervous. I’ve already got a Dd and I’m 38 so no idea why I feel this way!

j3mz · 22/02/2018 18:30

Hey every one. Just joined mums last week been trying to figure out how to use it lol.
In due 14 Oct but will be having baby around 19th/20th of Sept, they wont let .e go past 37 weeks due to previous placental abruption at 37+4 which lead to my son being still born. I've had another baby since then he is now 8months 👀👀 didn't expect to actually fall pregnant so soon even though we said we want two close together but weren't trying .. we're both really happy though.
My rainbow pregnancy was not easy found out I was b12 deficent aswell as protein s deficent so had to have tinzaparin injections everyday (was horrible) I was under the consultant and this time I've had a phone call from epu they want me to come in on Monday for an early scan and more test to see if I need to have the injections again ........i was feeling really good about this pregnancy after having so much anxiety last time but having a brilliant outcome the thought anything could go wrong never crossed me mind but since the phone call it's hit home things could go wrong and has instantly made me anxious again and dreding the early scan sooooo nervous!!!

But yeah just introducing myself and my story thanks for reading
Also I'm sorry if im not making sense I'm dyslexic I do really try though I wrote on another site couple years ago and the women were not nice at all about not being able to understand me they were horrible! Kind of put me off these things so just giving you a heads up and an apology in advance (eeek)

Oh this will be my 4th baby also 5th pregnancy all been boys hoping for a girl but happy either way!

j3mz · 22/02/2018 19:37

You can get better powered cctv cameras on eBay for 20 quid plus my bro showed me his n I got couple for myself they come with an app you put on your phone and u can get live feeds from the camera also make it move left to right around the room so u can see all over the room and there's an intruder setting u can active that alerts you when someone is in your home and will take pictures of them n save them to your phone!

j3mz · 22/02/2018 20:28

Woooops wrong place ...still new to this don't know how to delete either

twobambinos · 22/02/2018 21:57

Welcome j3. As far as I know you can't delete. I'm so sorry about your baby boy. Wishing you a very uneventful pregnancy and roll on September for you

riaviolet · 22/02/2018 22:49

Hi Guys 👋
My name is Ria, I'm 32 and this is my first pregnancy and my EDD is 04.10..

caoraich · 22/02/2018 23:14

Hey everyone. Lovely to see the new folks too!
I have been diagnosed with HG - nooooo. But have today discovered that I can keep down pop tarts, of all things Confused
I thought there was an HG thread somewhere but I can't find it so if anyone can point me there too I would be v grateful

ATP1000 · 22/02/2018 23:15

Hi J3, welcome! That’s actually good timing on your post about the camera, do you have the brand name please? We’re looking for some for the house!

I’m sorry to hear about your baby boy, it sounds like you are being well looked after by your doctors.

Thank you @twobambinos, @effram & @biscaytrafalgarfitzroy, this is such a tough time isn’t it. I’m constantly thinking about being pregnant, feeling happy then trying to rationalise the downside risks. I will feel better when I get to the early scan and all being well hear the little heartbeat. 10 days to wait for that, it’s a never ending wait isn’t it! 🙈

boringbetty · 23/02/2018 07:03

Hi everyone I'm 7+1 today and got my early scan this afternoon . I'm sooo anxious about it after 2 mcs Just got my fingers crossed and hope for the best

EffRam · 23/02/2018 07:15

Hi everyone New that has joined!

@boringbetty good luck today hope all goes well!
