Aww I will be 7 weeks tomorrow, I have had lots of heavy feelings like you describe since about 4 1/2 weeks, these early weeks are so worrying. I guess What will be will be but there is a 4/5 chance it's not some thing bad ( I like to reverse the stats they seem less scary)

tappitytaptap · 21/02/2018 06:59

Its my day off with the toddler today. Might have a nap when he does!

I think weeks 5 -7 are particularly important because the vital organs are developing. It’s important to have all the proper vitamins and to try to eat if MS makes that possible.
I’ve had a lot of aches around my pelvis, my sister in law said she had it noticeably for at least 6 weeks and also bled a little around week 6 and she has a fantastic four year old now. She went to the hospital for the bleeding though so that’s important.

ATP1000 · 21/02/2018 07:13

@milknosugar1 the risk definitely reduces every week and I do the same as you in inverting the odds!

Kitty610 · 21/02/2018 07:29

No bleeding so far, so fingers crossed it stays that way! Maybe I’m wrong about these weeks being more important. I guess it’s because this is when the heart should start beating? Anyway, I prefer your positive way of thinking so I’ll stick to that Smile

DogMumOfOne · 21/02/2018 07:32

Feeling a little anxious, I believe I am 8 weeks today, registered pregnancy with my GP over two weeks ago but still no contact from Midwife or letters re:scans. When I called the GP surgery they said the scan would be around 12 weeks. The GP had said closer to 8 since its my first pregnancy ... I live in Belfast and am wondering if in England people are offered earlier scans? I know they are if it's a high risk pregnancy. I have just taken two ClearBlue tests around 4 -5 weeks. Plenty of symptoms! Xx

midnight1983 · 21/02/2018 08:36

kitty I have had those pains on and off. Since week 4 and remember them from first pregnancy too. I don't think you need to worry unless you have bleeding or the pain is really bad. Either way, if you're not sure call the EPU and get some reassurance. Better that your mind is at rest.

Had to get the flu jab yesterday and I feel like death! Thankfully ms has subsided a bit so I've been able to eat and take paracetamol. Feeling v guilty today as yesterday my DS asked me if I would be feeling ill forever 😣

bearhuggy · 21/02/2018 08:54

Morning everyone and welcome to all the new joiners! The group seems to have really grown since I was on here last week :)

I am over the madness of London fashion week which is such a relief!! and have some time of now to rest and try and juggle my toddler and the constant nauseous feeling !! Have escaped to my parents for a few days which is lovely as get to have a lie in.

We had a scan yesterday and everything looking good with dates matching up, lovely strong heartbeat too! Here's a pic attached of the funny little blob.

Hope everyone feeling as ok as possible, given the first trimester and all its symptom filled glory !! :)

bearhuggy · 21/02/2018 09:01

Oh and just seen your other post @two, exciting you have a scan tomorrow too! How many weeks are you?

twobambinos · 21/02/2018 09:01

A blueberry very nice! Awe cute

ConfusionIsNothingNew · 21/02/2018 09:04

dogmumofone I'm not far from Belfast but the first scan is definitely at about 12 weeks, regardless of whether it's your first pregnancy or not. Maybe give the docs a call and chase up?

rachkmp · 21/02/2018 12:18

@DogMumOfOne I'm in England and my story is the same as yours, 2 weeks ago I saw gp but still no contact from midwives and I chased last week to no avail! I'm having an early private scan this evening though to put my mind at rest as it's my first too, feeling very nervous actually! I'll probably chase again next week if no news - hope yours get in contact soon, so annoying waiting!

Notthefirsttime · 21/02/2018 12:22

Can I join? EDD 20th October, 3rd baby! Excited but sickness is already grim at 5 weeks. I had HG with the last two and was hoping I would miraculously escape it this time Envy

sparklyglitterball · 21/02/2018 12:35

Can I join too? Got my bfp on Monday........feeling anxious as I had a couple of smudges of implantation bleeding a few days before the bfp. Plus yesterday I had some barely there pale brown discharge on wiping, plus my sore boobs subsided.......I was convinced it was all over! Came home from work and tested again which was positive, and sore boobs kicked off again. All being well, this will be baby no three. So nice to be able to talk to people as we've not told anyone yet! X

2ndPGchimp · 21/02/2018 12:40

Welcome to all the newbies. Lots of funny pulling pain here too - and my trousers already don't fit (I am 7 + 3) - I don't remember this last time! Then again perhaps it is just the carbs - i seem to only want to eat white food (which I do remember from last time). Can I ask where people have gone for their early private scans? If you google it there seem to be so many different options, i don't know if there are recognised chains or something?

@2ndPGchimp I'm going to the closest one to me which is called Premier Scans, their reviews look great! I'll fill you guys in on how it goes afterwards - hoping I won't have to have an internal scan 😅

Alyosha · 21/02/2018 13:25

Welcome all.

Sparkly I actually had my "period" before my BFP. TMI but a bled quite substantially after sex (normal for me on my period) but then it never got going, just dark sludge. Day 7 of the period I tested again after negatives and got a very clear positives! 7 more positives over the week later here I am...

Like you I am a bit worried actually I'm not pregnant, it's all in my head etc but I do have symptoms and I haven't ovulated this cycle.

ladydolly · 21/02/2018 13:53

2ndPGChimp I've used to different local ones, they're much of a muchness imo. Ultrasound direct are often recommended and they have an ongoing groupon offer of £40 but there are none near me unfortunately.

Milknosugar1 I'm afraid it fluctuates! Last time I didn't get any bigger in cup size but they were fuller (my boobs are big and I'm older so lots of space to fill I guess). The thing is later in pregnancy your ribcage gets bigger so anything you bought now would be too tight but you can get those bra extenders which is what I did last time. This time my boobs are noticeably bigger, I did some reading and they probably won't get much bigger after the first trimester. (hopes!)

twobambinos · 21/02/2018 16:05

@bearhuggy 9 weeks tomorrow based on lmp but as my lmp was actually a withdrawal from the pill the doctor said I could be a few days behind the 9 weeks. I got my bfp 5 weeks ago today so I'm guessing im at least 8 weeks if not closer to 9.
How early in pregnancy would you get a bfp? I think minimum of 3 weeks anyway. So hopefully the scan adds up to somewhere between 8 and 9.

I feel horrendous again today. It's coming in waves.

@milknosugar there's no way of knowing what the boobs will do. My own recommendation would be to go with the sports bras that are kind of unsized that will fit a different sizes with a bit of stretch and not spend too much money on them as you just don't know how long they will last. Not helpful I know. Sorry.
