I'm quite proud of my ovulation and implantation dips. I need to get a life!

Ubercornsdiscoball · 15/02/2018 14:13

@2ndPGchimp you must be near me as I will be at the PRUH too!

Lovewinemorethanhusband · 15/02/2018 14:53

Hi all also due around 5/6 October , had an early scan the other day and the sonographer really struggled to find baby she did find it in the end but then she couldn't see a heartbeat so got another scan on Tuesday so fingers crossed it's all ok x

Penny31 · 15/02/2018 17:38

Does anyone else keep getting a sore throat??

twobambinos · 15/02/2018 17:53

Sorry penny no not suffering with sore throat. Am feeling rough though was up vomiting late last night so struggling a bit today.

Milknosugar everyone tells people at different stages. We haven't told anyone only medical professionals so far Grin and will be keeping that way for at least another 4 weeks. Although I feel like I'm already expanding. And I really want to tell my friend but I won't.

Lovewine fingers crossed for Tuesday hopefully they will find it easier to see baby this time Flowers

ATP1000 · 15/02/2018 18:09

I’ve had to tell my boss already as they wanted me to travel to Thailand for work, not intending to do that given the Zika risk. They haven’t actually agreed that I shouldn’t go yet so I’m quite worried. Any advice appreciated! I’m 4 weeks

BiscayTrafalgarFitzroy · 15/02/2018 18:28

I've got to tell my boss next week too @ATP1000 because my booking appt is on March 1st - I'll only be 5 weeks!

There is no way any employer can endanger the safety of an employee or their baby so don't worry about it. There is no way they can make you go.

MamaL86 · 15/02/2018 19:07

@2ndPGChimp thank you for the info. It's not me in SE London though I'm afraid, I'm in W. London.
Thank you so much @ ATP1000. Your chart has reassured me a bit. I'm just hoping it goes back up again tomorrow. Have felt totally fine today, so fingers crossed the dip didn't mean anything. I did a CB digital yesterday (although failed to read the instructions so didn't use FMU) and it said 1-2 weeks. Is that the reading you're getting at 4+1?
Also, I sympathise re having to tell your boss early. Were they ok about it? I'm sure they can't make you go there if you're pregnant, would be very irresponsible. I think I'm going to have to tell my line manager next week. I'm a teacher and am meant to be going on a 5 day residential trip abroad in 10 days time. Really not keen to tell work this early but think I'm probably going to have to Confused

Melamine · 15/02/2018 19:15

👋 hi everyone! Just got my first ever BFP - est. due date is 23rd October! Obviously very early days but excited & terrified all the same. I haven’t even got a GP, so that’s my first task tomorrow. Good luck y’all!

BiscayTrafalgarFitzroy · 15/02/2018 20:04

@MamaL86 I got 1-2 weeks on a digital at 4+1 although I did a wee in the night so not sure it counts.

elizastarbeth · 15/02/2018 20:20

Hi everyone!

I had my first ever BFP last Saturday. I've been lurking on mumsnet a little while and just found this thread tonight.

I've been queasy on and off all week. Tuesday was pretty bad - I always go to spin class before work on a Tuesday, and I think that set me up for feeling sick the rest of the day. I forget my gym bag this morning - perhaps it's my brain subconsciously not wanting to go, ha. A few other people have mentioned exercise during pregnancy - I'm keen to keep it up if I can, when do you tell your gym instructor? They're 25 year old lads, I'm not sure what they'll know about it!

My boobs are feeling pretty weird - DH is super sad that they're off limits at the moment. I'm cold all the time (when I normally run hot) and I've been needing to pee like mad for the last fortnight. There's lots more to look forwards to!

Sorry for the essay! I've enjoyed reading everyone's journey so far. It's nice to hear from some other first timers, and people who have been here before.

EDD: 15/10/18
1st pregnancy
28 years old

twobambinos · 15/02/2018 20:23

I was getting 1-2 on a clearblue for a week and then I got 2-3 and 3+ within the space of a few days. I had myself convinced something was wrong. its so hard not to worry but try to take the conception indicator with a pinch of salt. I know easier said than done.

2ndPGchimp · 15/02/2018 20:29

Sorry @MamaL86 I misread the post, it was @EffRam in SE London. And it seems @Ubercornsdiscobal. Nice to be here with you all!

Also nice to meet @ladydolly, my family shape twin. I feel unusual among my friends for having so big a gap, so good to hear of others!

I am not enjoying the burps and nausea, but at least I feel it might be real while feeling rough!

ladydolly · 15/02/2018 20:42

2ndPGChimp yes the gap was not what we intended but DD was such hard work (still doesn't sleep through the night!) we couldn't face it!

Elizastarbeth I've always told my instructors straight away but tbh, they've always just said to go at your own pace, take a break if you need to, nothing major. It's only certain Yoga moves you can't do when pg the rest should be fine. But I think you'll be surprised how quickly it becomes harder work!

penny31 could it be dehydration? There's more blood pumping round so you need to drink move when pg.

MamaL86 · 15/02/2018 20:57

Thanks all for the reassurance. Will try to hold off doing another CB digital for a few days.
@2ndPGChimp how big is your gap? There'll be nearly 10 years between mine if all goes well!!

Gingerqueen4 · 15/02/2018 21:31

Just found out I’m having no.4, on the pill, total surprise but think I’m 5+4, EDD 22nd October

I am 37, 3 kids with my ex, 2 girls aged 12, 8 and a boy aged 5, my boyfriend of 15 months has 2 kids girl age 9 boy age 6 so this is no.6 between us 😬

We still don’t live together so the logistics of this will be a bit of a challenge plus we just got a puppy, I don’t do things by halves 🙈

Oh and he still doesn’t know! He’s out tonight with old Work friends, we have all 5 kids with us over the weekend and no chance to talk so it’s just our secret on here for now!

Hi all 👋🏻

brianodriscoll · 15/02/2018 22:37

Question for those of you that have done this before...

My boobs (which are already big) are already out of control at 6weeks! I'm pretty much up another cup size already and they're really sore! Is this going to continue for the rest of my pregnancy or do you think they'll calm down after this first hormone crazy bit?!?!

FutureMum · 16/02/2018 06:17

Joining! Got a DC and expecting number 2 in mid October. Had a MC in the past and I’m 40, keeping my fingers crossed x

ATP1000 · 16/02/2018 06:46

So many more BFPs! Congratulations everyone!
Thank you for your support with travel, I’m not going to mention it again and hope that when it comes up next it’ll be an easier discussion. I was so shaky telling them in the first place I couldn’t think quickly enough to discuss anything!

Seeing the chat about exercise made me realise how I’ve slowed down this week. I was walking for about 15 minutes last night, I got sore cramps in my uterus area/ above pubic bone. It went really tight. Does anyone know if this is normal? It was reasonably fast walking but then I got worried and got a taxi the rest of the way. No blood thankfully.

I walk to and from work every day which is about 15 mins and no probs but last night was faster than normal as I was with a colleague and normally we march everywhere together. It doesn’t feel right that I can’t manage this, this time last week I was spinning for an hour and go two or three times a week normally.

I’ll see the doctor if it happens again. It didn’t take my breath away, but was uncomfortable.

Kayleigh1986 · 16/02/2018 07:21

Hi to all the new ladies joining and congratulations! For those of you who are on Facebook I started a Facebook group for Mums Due Autumn 2018, if you would like to join please send me a friend request and I'll add you.

The group is completely secret, unless you're in it you can't actually see that it exists so there's no privacy worries if it's still early days and you don't want anyone to know xx

Hi all - congratulations on your BFPs!
I'm tiptoeing to join you so as not to jinx anything - BFP yesterday with #2, but had a miscarriage at 7 weeks in October so got everything crossed until 12 week scan and trying not to get my hopes up.
How does everyone keep their mind off it? I'm 4 weeks along so got a long 8 weeks to wait!

@elizastarbeth I know what you mean about feeling cold when you normally run hot, it's so weird - I keep shivering all the time, it's like my bones are cold!

EffRam · 16/02/2018 08:57

Morning! Hope everyone is well today. I'm 14DPO now. As usual have freaked myself out and decided the test I did this morning should be darker than it is as period is due today... There is a still a clear line and husband assures me it is darker than Wednesday's. Is anyone else this ridiculous?! I am going to really try to Step Away From The Tests now as I don't think it's helping - plus it won't stop anything going wrong anyway!

I am sure I will regret wishing for this in a few weeks but currently I would like some symptoms for some reassurance. I have a few aches and pulls in pelvis but could be psychosomatic. And otherwise nothing at all.

Going to a friend's tonight for dinner and we usually all enjoy lots of nice wine. My husband is very excited about drinking for 3, as he puts it ;)
