@Milknosugar1 this was when clear blue was saying 2-3 weeks so 4-5 weeks pregnant. Sorry it's not very good quality but I think you can see it's not very dark :)

Hello all!

I would like to join although I feel a bit terrified and that I'm jinxing it by doing!

Got a (/5!) BFP on Monday. Have been testing like a crazy since then. Got 1-2 weeks on CB digi yesterday. Have had strong lines on FRER last two days. Have one more CB digi so saving to use next week and hopefully see it increase.

AF due tomorrow. I feel really nervous that it will show up despite all the positives, but the gazillion IC I've done, although still faint, are getting a little darker so hoping that's a good sign.

Told my husband last night - he is excited but also terrified!

Can someone remind me how you work out your approx due date? My last period started 16th Jan, but I think I ovulated on 2nd Feb. Does that make me 4+2 today, or 3+6? Confused

I have no symptoms apart from maybe a bit crampy/achey around the pelvis, but I had a good yoga session on Tuesday so think it might be that! I don't 'feel' pregnant which I think is making me more anxious! I will be going for a private early scan I think, if we get that far :)

monkerina · 15/02/2018 08:56

Hello! With DS I didn't get a properly positive ic test til 6 weeks (not that I was an obsessive note taker or anything) so don't worry too much- the line is the most important thing!

I've had the stabby pubic bone pain a few times, it's where I get ov pain so assumed it was the corpus luteum twitching away doing its thing?

BiscayTrafalgarFitzroy · 15/02/2018 08:59

Hi @Milk Glad to see you here too. Your tests are definitely getting darker which is surely a good thing.

Sorry to hear about your Theresa May dream - how awful for you.

@Mama my temp has been up and down but stayed above the cover line. How about you?

Symptoms wise still got this annoying headache and feel queasy but I'm glad of it really as it makes me feel like something's different with my body.

monkerina · 15/02/2018 09:00

Congrats Effram! It's your ov date + 2 weeks- for women with an 'average' 28 day cycle this means they're 4+0 when they miss their period. If you have a longer/shorter cycle it adjusts, but they'll tell you what they think you are at your 12 week scan and this will become your due date.

BiscayTrafalgarFitzroy · 15/02/2018 09:01

Congrats @EffRam. There are loads of websites that will calculate your due date due you. I used the Huggins one because you can do it if you know when conception was rather than LMP.

BiscayTrafalgarFitzroy · 15/02/2018 09:02

Huggies that should say

EffRam · 15/02/2018 09:11

@monkerina Thank you! My cycles are 31/32 days. Just found a calculator and looks like I'm due around 22nd October. Wow.

Need to keep busy for the next few days, I will feel a little happier when period due date is out of the way.

Erm so. What happens next?! When do I need to contact the GP (/midwife?). In case it's not obvious. This is my first.

EffRam · 15/02/2018 09:13

@biscaytrafalgarfitzroy thanks! Just did the huggies one and that came out as 23rd Oct so am in the right ball park :)

BiscayTrafalgarFitzroy · 15/02/2018 09:24

@EffRam we have the same due date!

It depends on what area you live in. I'm able to access a midwife directly and already have my booking appointment. GP appt often isn't necessary anymore. Maybe ring your GP and ask.

MamaL86 · 15/02/2018 09:55

Hi @ BiscayTrafalgarFitzroy. My temps had generally been pretty stable, spiked yesterday but then seemed a bit lower today - though still over cover line. Finding it hard not to obsess and worry!

@EffRam congrats! I contacted my GP yesterday to check and they have told me to come in on Saturday. Think it varies by area - I'm in London

EffRam · 15/02/2018 10:37

@MamaL86 Thanks! I am in London too - South East. I will give them a call on Monday I think. How far along are you?

@BiscayTrafalgarFitzroy Eek exciting!!

MamaL86 · 15/02/2018 10:43

@EffRam I think I'm a couple of days behind you - think I'm due around 25th October so really early days! Doesn't feel real yet really

EffRam · 15/02/2018 10:45

@MamaL86 PS My ICs look just like yours. There is a definite difference between this morning's and Monday's but overall they are still really faint. I think (hope!) it's just the way they are!

EffRam · 15/02/2018 10:47

@MamaL86 oops cross posting. but ok so it's not too soon to go! I don't feel any different at all and have no symptoms so it doesn't feel real at all. I guess I just have this weird compulsion to check my period doesn't show up in case I book appointment then have to cancel!

Just had a google and looks like I can self-refer too, but need to choose which hospital.

MamaL86 · 15/02/2018 10:59

@ EffRam when did you get your BFP? I wasn't sure so rang my GP practice. Not sure there'll be much for them to say on Saturday really though?! Seems super early - just keeping everything crossed that everything stays ok and don't have to cancel

2ndPGchimp · 15/02/2018 11:03

Hello, can I tentatively join you please? I about 6+5. I have a DS who is 3.7. It feels like a really long time ago I was pregnant! I am so nervous about it all and the scan seems a long way away! I am 38 BTW and had been trying for about 9 months.

EffRam · 15/02/2018 11:06

@MamaL86 Monday I got the first one. Let me know what happens on Saturday! I'm sure everything will be absolutely fine.

Congratulations @2ndPHchimp :)

It's so hard to focus and do any work, I am so distracted!!

2ndPGchimp · 15/02/2018 11:18

Thanks @EffRam

I am in SE london too @MamaL86. I picked the PRUH in Orpington (where I had my first) but as they are now run by King's, you have the option to have scans at King's fetal medicine research institute.

ATP1000 · 15/02/2018 13:09

@maml86 I think it has to be quite a big drop for af. My chart shows this month in blue, I got the positive at 8 or 9 dpo and you can see that my temp has gone up and down since then. The other line is January, where there was a noticeable drop 3 days before af.
I know how you’re feeling just now, I’m 4w +1 and am getting attached to the little poppy seed idea.
Have you done any of the CB tests which show weeks? You can track progress with that although some people just have more hormone than others so don’t be disheartened, just measure yourself against yourself. X

ladydolly · 15/02/2018 13:25

Welcome 2nd! I'm also 38 with a 3.4 yr old and am 6+6 so very similar!

I have a bad case of trapped (and not so trapped) wind yesterday and today. Not a fun symptom - although are any of them fun??

My IC's were quite faint for a few weeks, they are very dark now.

bearhuggy · 15/02/2018 13:28

wow @ATP1000 thats so interesting! I have never heard of tracking temperature so finding it fascinating to see the difference between months.

Welcome to all the new joiners and congrats, such exciting times ahead and sending all lots of positive vibes at this early and tedious time for all !

Feeling damn rotten today and trying to plough through my workload but my mind is wandering to my next meal !! Hmm

bearhuggy · 15/02/2018 13:30

Oh and for whoever posted about being abroad...you could order some clearblue via amazon for delivery if you wanted to check on a digital sooner? (depending on where in the world you are of course!)
