Starting to get a little bit excited after seeing this this morning. I’m 5 +4 today so it seems to be accurate. Looking forward to hearing about your early scans. The midwife rung me last week and booked my first app. She seems lovely and was really reassuring. Hope everyone had a nice weekend xx

@singavera it's so good to hear others going through what I am. Thanks for responding.

I probably won't do any early scan however at 6w 1d I'm hoping the next couple of weeks go quickly.

I'm fine when I'm at work as my mind is focused, it's at home that I start to worry however I'm coming to understand that every woman and pregnancy is different and not all symptoms apply to every women. Started getting night sweats which are a joy however no sore boobs as yet. Mild cramping but no bleeding so I'm trying to stay positive and upbeat (when I don't break into tears randomly.) Anyone else having a hard time with not being able to control their emotions?

Justgotmypositive · 05/02/2018 13:39

Hello. I had my BFP last weekend and I think I must be about 5 weeks. I’m pretty nervous as I’ve had two previous miscarriages and had hyperemesis in my last pregnancy. I’m already feeling pretty sick so I do hope I won’t suffer from that again. Hope I’m ok to join.

Kayleigh1986 · 05/02/2018 13:44

@FallenAngel82 I'm the same, I just cry for no reason!

Just a heads up that if you're thinking of booking an early scan then check groupon!

I've just booked the one below for £39 and 6+6

JuniperKane · 06/02/2018 12:35

Hi all, can I join?
Got my BFP at the weekend, this is #1 for us and we were TTC for 2 cycles. Keep getting different due dates depending on where I look it up, so it’s either 10/10 or 15/10.

JLamb89 · 06/02/2018 12:53

@juniperkane welcome lovely ! Congratulations also 😍😍 ! Xx

caoraich · 06/02/2018 13:10

Hi all
Tentatively joining! BFP today, period was due yesterday so fingers crossed it's right... This is #1 for us too, been TTC since October.
EDD is 15/10 or 18/10 depending on where I look up - my birthday is between those two dates, what a birthday present that would be!

SLR1906 · 06/02/2018 13:24

Hello @caoraich congratulations, its so exciting isnt it!

caoraich · 06/02/2018 14:12

Thank you and congrats to you too @SLR1906 ! Fingers crossed it all goes well for you
Very exciting and quite strange... I have a couple of friends with toddlers but don't know anyone else pregnant/with new babies/TTC as far as I know..
Don't have any symptoms as yet, doesn't seem real. Need to pinch myself!

FallenAngel82 · 06/02/2018 14:59

Good afternoon ladies, how are we all feeling today?
I sent off my 'self referral' to my chosen hospital last night so looking forward to getting the letter for the booking appointment and am so desperate to get through to 8 -14 so i can have the scan. It all seems like it isn't real until then.
Symptoms so far.. more night sweats, bloated, hungry all the time, tired and my boobs have only just started to feel a little tender when prodded, cramps are easing off too a bit.
and @CRZ1988.. I've managed to not cry for a whole 24 hours! lol. :)
Sending everyone happy and positive thoughts.

CRZ1988 · 06/02/2018 15:22

Is anyone struggling with tiredness and work and come up with a solution?

I should work 8-5 every day but I'm on flexible hours and have managed at best 8.30-4. Im absolutely shattered.

The tiredness is starting to get me down and I'm feeling quite low and teary. I work in a building full of men and only my boss knows. He's great but not good at taking hints or suggesting going home. I feel like a skiver if I ask to leave as I'm not 'sick' but I don't know how much longer I can keep ramming caffeine free coffee down my throat in the hope that the taste will trick my brain.

FallenAngel82 · 06/02/2018 15:27

Hi CRZ1988, I've found that if i go to bed at 9pm i feel much better throughout the next day. I work 9-6 and ive been drinking lots of water and getting natural sugar via fruit seems to help keep me focused.

Sorry to hear your feeling a bit low, its completely understandable especially when you're tired and also hormones are going insane. Is it possible for you to go somewhere to have a quick nap throughout the day? That may help a little?

ConfusionIsNothingNew · 06/02/2018 15:28

Hi everyone! Just joining you all here and hoping I get to stick around!! Currently 4+3 and super anxious. Had a chemical with my first pregnancy, successful second pregnancy after ovarian drilling and now pregnant after two rounds of Clomid.

I really need to step away from the cheapie tests, they aren't helping my worried state!

CRZ1988 · 06/02/2018 15:31

@FallenAngel82 I've shut my door (I'm a PA and have my own little office) for a 15 minute nap but I hear the other doors open and I'm awake again. It makes me feel more nauseated too when I come to.

I try and go to bed earlier but hubby is a pain in the ass when it comes to coming to bed and ends up making a load of noise and waking me up. I get really irritated by it as I'm awake then until god knows when. We've had many many rows about it as he doesn't see why he should have to come to bed early or sleep in a different bed. 😡😡

FallenAngel82 · 06/02/2018 15:39

@CRZ1988, your situation sounds similar to mine in respect of hubby making a noise when he comes to bed.

I've resorted to in-ear buds with white noise playing on an app on my phone and also wearing a sleep eye mask to ensure I stay asleep. Your hubby should understand that if he wont sleep in another room or come to bed early, then he HAS to be super super quiet. After many cranky mornings, my fiance has finally figured that out.

The earbuds at work may also help, you can get some comfortable ones that wont hurt when you rest your head down so you wont be disturbed. For nausea, Im taking the Seven Sea's pregnancy tablets with added ginger to help battle against nausea and I haven't had any as yet. Let me know how you get on hun

Kayleigh1986 · 06/02/2018 17:09

@CRZ1988 not the same situation but struggle with sleep because OH snores horrifically. We've actually just got back from his first sleep clinic app and tonight he has to wear a machine to measure what his sleep and breathing is like but I sleep in the spare room when it's bad. Not ideal but if it's affecting you in the day, could you sleep in a different room for a few nights just to get you back into a normal sleep rhythm and get you feeling better? I sleep with ear plugs and if he doesn't snore they are amazing, I don't even hear him come to bed! But they don't drown out the snoring! We need to get it sorted tho as I can't sleep with ear plugs once baby is here x

surreygirl1987 · 06/02/2018 17:31

The tiredness hit me today too - left work at 4 and could barely keep my eyes open on drive home! Nap time now i think...

Can I join?

Had a very early miscarriage (chemical pregnancy?) 2 months ago. Now am unexpectedly about 5 weeks. No nausea, very sore nipples, bursting into tears once a day over not much. Thankfully DP very good and we both work from home so I'm able to rest and he's looking after me. I'm not very good at looking after myself or practical stuff so I'm very grateful (especially after previous abusive relationship).

I'm always hungry and emotional and can't seem to do much. Have cut down smoking as soon as I found out from 20 a day to 2. Hope to finally phase that out over the next week or so but it's not easy. Am trying to be kind to myself even though I'm judging myself awfully for it.

Will be due mid October
