Still can't sleep lol

Got it a week early af was due 30th

Anyone else??

Alsooooo been feeling very sick and now have lots of heart burn

@youcantbesirius yes!!! In Tesco on Sunday I had an awful pain quite high up, I panicked then a couple of minutes later realised it was trapped wind, got home and had the worst diarrhoea! And it was a horrible colour because of the iron tablets! But it did only last that day, although I have been intermittently loose since lol xxx

@lucydolly I'm the same, and five days before Christmas won't really be much different to three days before but I appreciate the gesture. Just want to see that little heartbeat xxx

Hi everyone

If we go from LMP I am 6 weeks 1 day!
I am very excited, nervous, paranoid at times and EMOTIONAL!
I haven't really had many symptoms upto now.
Hope all is going well for everyone xxx

Week 4 today! We found out at 10 dpo so we have known for four days and it has been so hard not to get too excited just on case!

Booked a private scan for 28th December at 7 weeks which should be a few days after our NHS one all being well.

Have been having gentle cramps and twinges but hoping that is all normal!

Hi everyone! So exciting to see more people joining Xmas Smile hope everyone is ok. I was toying with the idea of a private scan but don't know if it'll end up causing me more or less anxiety! I think I'll wait a couple of weeks then see how I feel and decide.

Same here @strawberryLemonade. I considered a private scan so I could be more relaxed about telling family at Christmas. But I am still only 4 weeks (nearly 5) so it may still be too soon before Christmas and from what I read sometimes a heartbeat doesn’t show if it’s too early, but that’s not to say there’s a problem you just have to wait a bit longer. And I decided it would just cause me too much stress. If I was a bit further along I probably would’ve decided differently.

Hey to all new comers! It’s so exciting :)
I have two days off work so today oh and I went Christmas tree shopping and general Christmas shopping. Don’t know whether it was long periods in car or just tierdness but felt queasy all day and didn’t want to tak much! Oh understands tho!

Not joking I look easy 5 months pregnant at the moment! So so bloated it’s a proper belly! X

With my first two we just stuck with the two NHS scans but as this is an IVF baby we have been offered an early scan. So the private scan will just be a nice thing over christmas for our family.

Morning all, room for another?! I got my surprise BFP on Sunday. This will be number 3 for DH and I. Our two girls are 5 and 19 months. I loved the age gap between the first two and am pretty scared about this age gap tbh!

I don’t have any symptoms yet, which is the same as my first pregnancy, but was pretty nauseous with no 2...I have a scan on 19th Dec (am not in UK and you always get scanned at 6-7 weeks here) so hoping everything is ok and we can tell my parents when we go I visit hem for Xmas.

Think I may be the eldest in the thread so far...turned 40 in August! So a bit worried about increased risks etc but trying not to think about it all too much. Also trying to figure out how I am going to hide this at my work Xmas do on 20th and with my friends back home as we have a night out planned Confused how are you all playing it over Xmas?!

Hope everyone is feeling good this morning!

Hello @WeAllShine and welcome! Congratulations on your BFP.
My work isn't having a Christmas do (bah humbug) so no worries there about drinking. A couple of close friends already know I'm pregnant, and other friends who we are seeing over the next few weeks probably wouldn't ask if I wasn't drinking. It's mainly the in-laws who I think might suspect! I'm not going to tell them but if they ask openly if I'm pregnant I won't lie.
LucyDolly I'm totally bloated too and look like I have a bump even though it's way too early to have one. Definitely going to be difficult to hide it at work for another 7-8 weeks!

Hi all, sorry I haven't been posting but following everything. Congrats to all the new bfps.

I'm almost 6 weeks now I think, this time last week was dancing away at a gig all night, now the nausea has set in, my boobs are killing and i've been in bed asleep by 8.30 the last two nights.

I had a mc last year so quite anxious and was debating having an early scan but I don't think it will help me - if it's good news I still won't relax until after 12 weeks and test results are back; if it's bad then it will just bugger up Christmas. Everyone's different though.

Morning everyone

I had a bad yesterday with period like pains, I was so worried all day and must have gone to the toilet 1000 times checking for blood.
I took some paracetamol and it went off about tea time last night and I feel ok today.

Is it normal to get them kind of pains? This is my first pregnancy so all new to me xx

@WeAllShine my birthday is this month and I am out for a meal with friends on the 15th. It's going to be really tricky hiding it as being the birthday girl everyone will be fully expecting me to drink and be merry! Current plan is to call the restaurant and tell them! And ask if they have anything like appletiser or sparkling elderflower which look like prosecco and if they don't can I take my own. I may then move on to just tonic 'gin and tonics'.

@Mel89 I am sorry you had a bad day. It's my first pregnancy too so I don't have much to offer in the way of experience. I have had some pains but nothing too bad. When I saw my doctor on Wednesday she said any pains that weren't settling down after a couple of days need to be looked into. She said it is possibly a normal sign of pregnancy but they'd want to examine me. Same with any bleeding unless it was heavy bleeding then I was to go to A&E.

I reeeaally want to get an early scan before Xmas so I can tell my mum!! I’ll only be 6w4d by then though. Last week I had my early scan at 7 weeks and all was good so not sure whether I should just wait? Anyone know the chances of seeing HB that early??

I'm having a dating scan next week in EPU because I conceived on the pill I'm not sure how far gone I am!
Nausea kicked in yesterday and having vomited every single day until the day he was born last time, it's making me nervous!!

Got a uni reunion this weekend so my friends will sniff me out in a nano second when I'm not drinking again - was pregnant at it as well last year 🙄.

@weallshine I skipped my Christmas party this week, with the excuse of being ill... I have a stinking cold. By all accounts it was a real binge session so super glad I wasn't there as it would have been hugely obvious I wasn't drinking!

No nausea here yet but very dry mouth thst tastes like soap ConfusedHmm

Hi all,

I'm 5w 2d and getting cramps like crazy! Keep going to the toilet just to check.
I'm on holiday with my parents and DH and it's hard to keep it a secret! I told them I was stopping drinking to help conceive and they seem to be buying it so just got to watch what I'm saying! My midwife called yesterday as the receptionist at my GP surgery booked me in when I'll be almost 9 weeks and she said she wants to see me before that. So I'm seeing her next Tuesday. I work for my dad so having to tell a huge white lie about DH to go to the appointment as its whilst I'll be at work.

Sorry if TMI but for a few days I had a very particular smell in my pee which I put down to pregnancy hormones. Then at some point Wednesday afternoon it stopped and my pee doesn't smell at all. This worried me and I did a lot of googling yesterday and basically symptoms can come and go apparently. I still have sore boobs, am peeing a lot and just to put my mind at rest I did another test this morning (my husband thinks I've lost the plot Xmas Grin ) and the line was the thickest it's ever been so I'm just not going to worry - or so I say!

@Mel89 I remember having a random morning of cramping in my first pregnancy - I was a bit further along than you are now but it really freaked me out! I only had it the once, though.

@banydreaming my gynae wont do the first scan before six weeks as it’s unlikely he would seee anything so I think 6+4 would be good to get a heartbeat. Can you call and ask? I assume it would be a private scan then so maybe the company can advise? I guess also depends how sure you are of your dates?

Our Xmas party is in Amsterdam...the official part is a meal so I should be able to get away with fake drinking there but my colleagues and I had been planning on going for drinks/club afterwards...think I’ll need a good excuse for that as I’ll be so knackered I’ll never make it!

@spritegirl I’ve had the same funny smelling pee Blush no cramping yet...sorry for all worrying about symptoms or lack of them, it really is a worrying time...i think I might have to do another test to ease my mind!
