Got my bfp 2 hours ago
Still can't sleep lol

Got it a week early af was due 30th

@smashycup yes usually you have to pay for them and get them privately.

If you’ve had any bleeding or other concerns they sometimes do them on the NHS. They sometimes also offer them if you have a history of miscarriage which is why I am getting one tomorrow!

I am having an NHS one at 7+5 on 2nd Jan because this is a pregnancy conceived through IVF so they need to confirm clinical pregnancy with is when they see a heartbeat.

They will then sign me over to usual ante-natal care

A little late to the party but Im due 4th Aug with my first.

We had an early scan last Tuesday and we saw a little heartbeat! Still trying not to be too excited as Im terrified something could still go wrong but it was a lovely experience.

@E2017 that's my thinking too as I will be 30 in July so most probably be the size of a whale and not wanting to do much! Lol.

My 30th will be in June and DH's in August so agree if all goes well with this we probably won't be up to much!

I had sort of vaguely thought we might just invite anyone who wants to celebrate with us to come and be here in the same place for the same weekend and then make plans at the time?? Is that a bit too haphazard? The problem is because of house move + financial issues this year we're likely to be too tight to actually put on a party, at least not this far in advance - closer to the time we might be able to hire somewhere. However, if we're having a baby next year that's probably going to eat up any wiggle room in the budget we might have had. So again it may be a case of come if you want to celebrate. But I don't really want to let my 30th pass totally unmarked :( I do know if nothing else I will be able to go out for a meal with my friends here but I had hoped that we might be able to have a joint celebration.

It doesn't really help either that it usually is over 30 degrees in summer here and sometimes over 35! So I am likely to be lying around like a beached whale begging people to throw cold water at me

Finally been given my booking in appointment for 24th January and have been given my scan date of 2nd Feb 🙊. Starting to feel very real!

I have booking in appointment on 13th January - I'll be 8+0. That's when my little one that didn't make it passed away last time. So I'm going for a scan the day before and again at 10 weeks together with the harmony test. Eek.

I've got my booking appointment on the 8th January when I'll be 10+5 and I'll hopefully get the date for the 12 week scan then.

@Hana327 roughly where in the midlands are you. I'm on the Northamptonshire/Warwickshire border. We seem to have a lot in common. Due date, birthday month and where we live lol.

@BertieBotts I'm thinking it maybe a case of a meal out as well! We are thinking about moving as well so maybe too busy! Either that or a sitting on a few boxes with a takeaway! Lol

How long has everyone waited for their booking in appt? I'm 6+6 tomorrow when I have to go back to docs to finish registering. She said she will then refer me to the midwife and I will have to wait for my appt. any idea how long this will be? I'm so worried I go back to work 8th jan when I will be 9+2 so I really hope I get an appt before then so work don't find out!

Youcantbesirius my booking in Appointment is the same 8th Jan & I'll be 10+3. I think the way it works here is the midwife puts you forward for your scan when you see her & then you receive a letter through the post to say when your scan is.

I went to the Drs on the 11th Dec and they were going to refer me to the midwife. I haven't heard from them yet. Is that normal?

I went to docs 6th December. Filled in the forms that day and received a letter a few days later (was expecting it to take longer) with my appointment date for the 29th December.

I called my gp day before yesterday and they gave me the community Midwife's phone number. I left her a voicemail and she called back this morning. I'm seeing her on 15th Jan and she has booked a scan for me on 29th Jan. x

My booking appt is 3 Jan but here we just ring up the GP practice and ask for a midwife appt for when we are 8 wks (I'll be 7w+6 then all being well). She then refers me for the 12wk scan. I've a private scan and Harmony test booked for 23rd when I should be 10w+5. We didn't bother with the NIPT or early scan last time.

Bfp! Due date 26.08.18. Over the moon after several years wait! Thought it would never happen!

The Dr record a letter to refer me to the midwife but not heard. Do u think it's because it's over they will wait until Jan. But then you all have been in contact! No idea. I will give it until after Christmas and then maybe call to check!
