I thought I’d start this thread now as I can’t see one yet! I got my bfp this weekend on a digital and estimate my due date to be 1st of July, but I have long cycles so I’m anticipating it changing at a dating scan. Anyone else with me for end of June or beginning of July 2018?

Hi all, I have been nervous to post on here as it still doesn't feel real but I found out on Friday and think I'm 4+3 today, expecting 6th July so really early days! I have just phoned the GP to find out what to do! Does anyone else keep checking when they go to the toilet just to make sure?!

Hulaballoo · 30/10/2017 13:07

Hi everyone, @lgh05 ahh ok :) was just wondering when teachers were going to tell heads... Whether I should do it early in case chicken pox or anything else goes around. I'm so glad everyone elses symptoms seem to be coming and going, got a bit paranoid this morning as boobs not as sore as last night but think they're generally worse at night.... Still doesn't feel real yet. @dietcoke2020 I always check too 😐

lgh05 · 30/10/2017 13:16

@dietcoke2020 I am due on the 6th July too! And yes I get very nervous when I need a wee because I always wipe and then look, I remember last time that stopping in the second trimester but then again become obsessed looking for a show at about 38 weeks! So it never really ends! Haha.

dietcoke2020 · 30/10/2017 13:23

Thanks @Hulaballoo and @Igh05 it good to know it's not just me! This is my first pregnancy at 34 and I have been trying to read everything I can to educate myself as it seems there is so much I don't know Shock

Bluebirdsky · 30/10/2017 13:30

I am due on the 5th July and still get nervous every time I wipe, every twinge every pain that feels like it might be period pain!
I now have a chest infection and am terrified I am going to cough so hard it will affect the baby or cause a miscarriage Hmm
Guessing there will always be something to worry about for the next nine months and hopefully beyond!

AnythingNotEverything · 30/10/2017 14:37

Peanutty this is mumsnet, not Netmums! Don’t let the locals hear you getting them mixed up Grin

Hullabaloo- have you had pox yourself? You’re only at risk during pg if you haven’t had it. Your MW can check for antibodies at your first bloods.

Hulaballoo · 30/10/2017 14:43

@AnythingNotEverything I have had chicken pox before but it's also things like slap cheek etc that can go around in school...Confused

Peanutty86 · 30/10/2017 15:06

@AnythingNotEverything OH! MY! GOD! I’m so sorry!!! Don’t too much googling and for some reason it always takes you to netmums so had this in my head. Can we just say that’s the pregnancy brain?
Jokes aside, I do seem to be quite forgetful these days.....

Peanutty86 · 30/10/2017 15:07

*Done... (is there a way you can edit your posts?)

Enwi · 30/10/2017 15:53

My friend is a childminder and suffered a still birth at 28 weeks. Several of her mindees at the time had chicken pox and she was told that was likely the cause of the still birth Shock
That is what she has told me anyway!

Enwi · 30/10/2017 15:58

Yep just googled it. If Mum is around chicken pox then it can infect baby. As Mum is immune she will experience no symptoms herself but for baby (who has no immunity) it can be deadly.
How scary for those of us working with children Sad

Hulaballoo · 30/10/2017 16:15

Very! That's why I'm wondering whether to tell boss earlier than 12 weeks

cantthinkattheminute · 30/10/2017 16:28

I just feel so bloated, already had 2 staff members ask me if I was pregnant joking around. Have a big black tie work event next week with my boss and her boss there. Do know how I will get away with not drinking and not being found out!

lgh05 · 30/10/2017 16:50

@cantthinkattheminute I feel the same it actually looks like I have a little bump and it’s not from food it’s just total bloat. I have my sister in laws wedding in 3 weeks and my dress is tight, really hoping the bloat goes down!

lgh05 · 30/10/2017 16:51

If I worked with children I would tell bosses sooner because you do need to protect yourself. With my DD I was terrified of going near anyone that had Chickenpox

Cronxgirl27 · 30/10/2017 19:19

Hey ladies can I join?

I’m only 3+5 (so think that makes my due date 11 July). Tested with cheapie boots test we had from last month and got what I thought was negative but DH was convinced there was a v faint line! I’ve had crazy sore boobs for a week and ‘felt’ like I could be pregnant (bit burpy and bloated) so bought some clear blue digital and got my BFP this morning!!

I had a CP only last month at 4+5 and so am absolutely petrified the same thing will happen. And really nervous cos i haven’t had a ‘normal’ period?!? Keep checking the TP every time I go to the loo (and probably shouldn’t be on here getting my hopes up)!

Just wondered if anyone has any anxiety-busting tips?

lgh05 · 30/10/2017 21:55

Congrats @Cronxgirl27 and welcome!

I’ve just had my midwife text me and say that my scan is booked in for second week in December I will only be 10+ 5 I can have the week after but my DH couldn’t make that due to work, so then it’s after Christmas. Unsure what to do. Do I take the early appointment she said dating scans are done between 10-13 weeks.

Hulaballoo · 30/10/2017 21:58

Definitely take it @lgh05 10+5 well be fine 😁

lgh05 · 30/10/2017 22:10

@Hulaballoo thanks, I just panic that it’s not long enough to let the baby grow but they know better than me!

HarryPotterandtheSAHM · 30/10/2017 22:43

Igh05 if it's too early they will send you for another 2-3 weeks later! would that fall around christmas though? I'm crossing everything that mine is the week before we go away to stay with my family for christmas, because else it will end up being too late and I'll have to try and rearrange which can be very troublesome with some hospitals!

These July babies hey, meaning 12 weeks scans are around Christmas and NY.

Lovely Christmas presents though! ☺️

KateB2016 · 31/10/2017 05:45

I know @Igh05 I'll be over the moon if I can tell my parents on Xmas day, and absolutely gutted if they say I have to wait until after Xmas for it! X

Lilychouchou · 31/10/2017 06:36

Hi ladies can I join? Got my first ever BFP (three of them - very strong lines - and a 2-3 weeks on CB) last Thursday. We weren't trying so it's a very lovely surprise! Not sure of my due date really as not 100% when my last period was but I think I'm around 5 weeks!

I've booked a scan for Saturday morning - I know it's super early but we have an adventure holiday booked in December that I won't be able to go on if this is a sticky bean so after some thought we decided to have the scan then make the decision as to whether to cancel.

I'm panicking every time I feel "wet" down there (sorry) or go to the loo. No symptoms except lots of cramping (had it for several days before I tested, assumed it was AF) and slightly sore boobs. Very worried about it all going wrong but trying(!) to stay positive...

lgh05 · 31/10/2017 07:07

@Lilychouchou congratulations!! Yeah we all seem to be quite anxious! I get nervous before a wee just incase I wipe and something’s there!

KateB2016 · 31/10/2017 07:09

Hi @Lilychouchou congrats on your BFP! :) me and DH are trying to decide whether or not to have an early scan too, you'll have to let us know how the scan goes on Saturday! X
