I thought I’d start this thread now as I can’t see one yet! I got my bfp this weekend on a digital and estimate my due date to be 1st of July, but I have long cycles so I’m anticipating it changing at a dating scan. Anyone else with me for end of June or beginning of July 2018?

8 weeks sounds good Harry. I wouldn’t mind starting to tell people at that point. I’m pretty open about stuff.

I have an important work planning meeting on Nov 21st so it’d be great if it were before then ...

AnythingNotEverything · 28/10/2017 23:20

And that’s only 3 weeks away!

Bluebirdsky · 28/10/2017 23:30

I haven't got sore boobs yet, do u think I should be worried? Possibly a bit more hungry than normal but could be completely unrelated 😂

I would really like to book an early scan too, by my calculations my 12 week scan will be due right on Christmas so a bit worried it might be delayed until the week after and not sure I can wait that long!
8 weeks sounds like a good time.

lgh05 · 29/10/2017 00:01

@Bluebirdsky not at all no need to be worried with my first I never had any symptoms till about week 7/8 when sickness hit. Everyone and every pregnancy is different. Also in the same boat as you about the 12 scan, it smack bang before Christmas so I have already presumed in my head il be having an 11 weeks scan or 13. Either that or a very lovely Christmas present t!

I am going to have a scan, but around 7 weeks as I just want to know their is a heart beat and everything is where it should be.

With regards to the one to one midwives if they are in your area then you just fill in a self referral form online I presume, that's all I've done and I am just waiting for them to get back to me.

rhubarb86 · 29/10/2017 00:10

Hullabaloo, I have also had indigestion/ heartburn three times this week and I never normally get it either. I'm also from the midlands. Have also had a stinking cold (which made me realise I may be pregnant) as I am rarely poorly working with children and their germs! Feeling much better today though and waiting for the sickness to kick in.. 5+2 here I think.

Bluebirdsky · 29/10/2017 07:18

Thank you @lgh05 it's so hard not to worry about everything!

@rhubarb86 I have also had a cold and chesty cough for two weeks now which made me suspect I was pregnant as I hardly ever get colds and if I do I shift them in a couple of days!

rhubarb86 · 29/10/2017 07:29

Bluebirdsky, So nice to hear it's not just me with a cold- have felt really quite ropey with it and it's had to differentiate what is cold/ pregnancy. Question- is anyone using oil/ cream yet on their tummy to help with stretch marks? I had them in my teens and know I'll get them anyway as my sister and mom got them in pregnancy but hoping starting early may help (wishful thinking!)

bairnsangs · 29/10/2017 08:29

Hello folks, can I join? 5+4 here and have known since 11 dpo so I can identify with the feeling that this is a long and nervous pregnancy already! I feel like I've been around the emotional rollercoaster several times over already 😅

I'm 29 (30 in March) and if this bean sticks it should be due very end of June, beginning of July. Symptoms are exhaustion, especially in the evenings, very sore boobs, very thirsty and a bit grumpy! Sometimes a bit bloated. We've booked an early scan for 7+3 because I think the 12 week scan will fall at Christmas and I would really like to hear the heartbeat, I think it could be really reassuring and make the whole thing feel more real, if that makes sense?

bairnsangs · 29/10/2017 08:30

Also POAS this morning and I only have one more left - after that I'm going cold turkey! 😐

KateB2016 · 29/10/2017 10:22

Welcome @bairnsangs! I'm the same as you, one more stick left! Also turning 30 next year, in February :) exciting year 2018!

Hulaballoo · 29/10/2017 11:10

Argh currently buying vitamins. Pregnacare or Seven Seas??

rhubarb86 · 29/10/2017 11:22

I'm just taking folic acid and vitamin d as I think that's all there is any evidence to say you need. Will stop folic acid after the first trimester and continue the vit d though. But I guess it's personal choice re: multivitamin. I'm trying to do this as frugally as possible though.

ijustwantcake · 29/10/2017 14:44

Hey okay if I join? Also from the North West (near Manchester) I'm about 3+6 at the moment with my first with a due date of around 6th July, so far only told my DP who's reaction can only be compared to when Ross in friends finds out that Rachel is pregnant. Also glad to see it's not just me that's been bloated, feel like I've eaten a full Christmas dinner every day this week and woke up full of a cold this morning.

lgh05 · 29/10/2017 15:16

Just had my names midwife from one to one midwives call me, I have my booking appointment and 12 weeks scan booked in. Can’t believe it, been on the phone chatting to her for an hour. Total turn around from my care I had with my DD.

Defo worth googling to see if they cover your area! X

AnythingNotEverything · 30/10/2017 08:32

Anyone else still feel totally normal? It’s possible my boobs are a bit bigger/sore. Hard to tell. Feels like I’ve made the whole BFP up!

Hulaballoo · 30/10/2017 08:40

I feel like that today @AnythingNotEverything . My boobs are hurting but comes and goes. But when it goes I start to panic, I need to just start thinking, what'll be will be, but it's so hard!

lgh05 · 30/10/2017 08:44

Yeah I woke up this morning and even forgot I was pregnant, boobs are tender and at 9pm tiredness wipes me out but that’s it

lgh05 · 30/10/2017 08:47

I think I also may be going off chocolate! I hope it’s true as I am addicted to chocolate and coffee and neither are appealing to me at all.

Hulaballoo · 30/10/2017 09:35

Any other teachers here?

lgh05 · 30/10/2017 09:43

Wife of a deputy head, hence wanting a July baby!

Peanutty86 · 30/10/2017 10:53

Hi ladies,

Just thought I’d say hello here!

I’m the one who stupidly opened the July 2018 baby thread in pregnancy. (New to netmums and didn’t realise that ante-natal club would’ve been the right place 🤦🏻‍♀️

Hope everybody is well?

I don’t have many symptoms. Apart from being bloated a little cramp here and there (still worried AF would show, does this ever stop?). Breasts little tender but more in the evenings... felt nauseous a couple of days back but that seems to have disappeared...

HarryPotterandtheSAHM · 30/10/2017 10:53

Qualified primary teacher here but not currently working as we moved just before I had DS1 and I’ll look for a job when this July baby is about 1!

Hi I joined the thread a couple of weeks ago then got flu badly which is a nightmare as I can basically only take paracetamol. I've been really struggling with nausea too but it feels to early to be morning sickness?

HarryP I think our babies are the same age - my dc1 was born end Nov 16 and no 2 is due 1st July 18. I'm still BFing my baby. Can't believe I'm also growing a second one!

I'm in the south..

HarryPotterandtheSAHM · 30/10/2017 11:01

Twicker what a coincidence, DS1 was 18th Nov. So sorry you’ve had flu. I think sickness can indeed start this early Sad. It’s lovely you are still bf, I had to stop completely at 8mos pp to encourage my periods to return so we could start ttc! I still miss it so much

Morning everyone, welcome to all the new people Smile

I have just got back from the GP, now on antibiotics and inhalers for a chest infection, got to go back in two days for a chest check as apparently I sound awful Confused

On the plus side I managed to book my midwife booking in appointment for the end of November so something to aim towards!

Still no real symptoms here, a bit tired and the odd wave of nausea but could just be because I am not well!
