I thought I’d start this thread now as I can’t see one yet! I got my bfp this weekend on a digital and estimate my due date to be 1st of July, but I have long cycles so I’m anticipating it changing at a dating scan. Anyone else with me for end of June or beginning of July 2018?

Aww that's really thoughtful @lgh05 😁 yeah this stabby pain started today.... Almost like a little shard of glass jabbing in, happening quite a lot when I move. Its sort of just above pubic bone. Don't remember ever having this Shock

KateB2016 · 28/10/2017 11:27

@hulabaloo yes I'm the same! If I move or get up to quickly it's very sharp stabbing. I've been panicking the last few days as all my pains seem to be on the left but I've read a few forums which say it's normal so trying to relax finally :) still can't wait for that first scan though!

Where is everyone from btw? Anyone in the North West? :) x

noimagination80 · 28/10/2017 11:31

Sharp pains when moving quickly here too, the worst is trying to stop my 3yo from jumping on me...

I'm in London

Enwi · 28/10/2017 11:47

I’m in the Northwest! Just outside of Chester x

lgh05 · 28/10/2017 12:20

I am northwest too! Xx

KateB2016 · 28/10/2017 13:13

@noimagination80 I can't imagine how difficult it all must be with a three year old as well!

@igh05 where abouts in the north west are you? I'm Manchester x

HarryPotterandtheSAHM · 28/10/2017 13:14

I’m near Leeds!

In between Manchester and Liverpool x

Yeah picking up my nearly 4 year old is going to quickly be quite difficult!

Enwi · 28/10/2017 13:47

Oh we’re all quite close then!

pullonyourjudgypants · 28/10/2017 14:30

Seems ages until July 2018 Shock

I’m too scared to actually test but calculated I’d be due 1st July 2018 (which is a bit scary as my older Dc was due 30th June !!! )

Plus for some weird reason I’m really nervous what my parents will say. I just think as we don’t have much money etc.

Also I’ll worry more if number 2 is official.

So I’ve not really joined you Grin

lgh05 · 28/10/2017 14:40

@Enwi yeah really close ☺️

@pullonyourjudgypants It's hard thinking that people will make their own judgments about your situation which then probably will as everyone does to everybody. But I guess you just have to do you and forget everyone else, and all a baby needs is love, nothing else.

Hulaballoo · 28/10/2017 15:36

Argh phew @KateB2016 glad I'm not the only one 🙂 I'm in the Midlands. @pullonyourjudgypants we're going to be judged a bit too...DC are 7,9 and DH is 40 next year, I'm 38 next week... So everyone assumes our baby days are done and we changed careers late so we don't have much money... But we're happy and it's our little family and all very loved so they can just lump it. 😁

HarryPotterandtheSAHM · 28/10/2017 16:45

We willhave a 19 month gap and the first words out of everybody’s mouth will be “you’re mad”. especially my parents. Bring it on, who doesn’t love some 2 under 2 chaos Confused

Anyone else having a bit of acid indigestion/heartburn or is just the food I'm eating Hmm I didn't get heartburn until way later with other pregnancies but I've had this the last couple of days....I don't normally get it.

lgh05 · 28/10/2017 19:17

@Hulaballoo no thank goodness not yet, I had the worst heart burn with DD I had to sleep totally upright. I just have very very sore boobs at the moment, and ever time I wee I am scared there is going to be blood- hoping that will pass. I am also starving!!! Which scares me as I put on so much weight with DD I've worked very hard to loose the weight and more and changed my lifestyle in 4 years but the thought of my body changing is now freaking me out, as I am sooooo bloated already! I didn't start to show till 24 weeks last time I think I may have a bump next week at this rate haha!

Nkozikazi · 28/10/2017 19:33

Hello! Nice to meet you all. First post but long time lurker! I’m 28, also in the North West (Chester) and this is our first (following an early miscarriage in June). EDD 1st July or so. Nervously judging every little niggle or pain in case it’s a problem! Feel like somethings going to pop when I sneeze!

lgh05 · 28/10/2017 19:48

Hey @Nkozikazi congratulations on your pregnancy!! ☺️

Hulaballoo · 28/10/2017 19:55

Welcome and congratulations @Nkozikazi 😁@lgh05 yeah I was drinking bottles of gaviscon last time! Yeah my boobs have really kicked in today, I've put a sports bra on. My appetite is all over, I put weight on by looking at food 😳 I'm trying to be super careful too. Put 4 stones on with both my girls 😐hard work got it off... Ignore the pizza yesterday ....lol

lgh05 · 28/10/2017 20:07

@Hulaballoo I put 4 stone on with my daughter too! It was horrific, this time I will not do that! I use "my fitness pal" to track calories so I am just going to eat maintenance calories and try and keep as active as possible.

Hulaballoo · 28/10/2017 20:28

That's a good idea @lgh05 I think I'll track calories too... I have a fitbit too I've just been walking as much as I can and eating healthily to get vits in. Really don't want to put to much on.

Enwi · 28/10/2017 21:32

Ah welcome to a fellow cestrian!
(I grew up in Chester and moved just outside of it once I bought my first home) Smile

Nkozikazi · 28/10/2017 21:52

Hello! I’m very new to the area having just moved down from Scotland in August with work. Despite being Medical I’ve got no clue about antenatal care and haven’t phoned a doctor or midwife yet... and I’m confused about one2one midwives- should I be phoning them in this area for a community midwife?

KateB2016 · 28/10/2017 21:58

I feel I've already put on 5lbs in the space of two weeks 😭.. Not a good start. Some of that has to be bloating and trapped wind and stuff though surely! Or is that wishful thinking haha. I haven't been eating as well as I should have since finding out we'd conceived tbf, probabky about time I started but all this worrying makes me want to comfort eat! And have replaced alcohol with hot chocolate :)

AnythingNotEverything · 28/10/2017 22:41

Hi all, I keep losing the threads so just marking my place really.

I’m 5+1 in what is already the longest pregnancy in history (or feels like it). I’m desperate to see what’s in there so trying to decide when to book an early scan, and really want to tell the world!

Hope you’re all having a fab weekend. I’m trying to enjoy it before the symptoms really start ... I’m expecting nausea, dizziness and dog tiredness to land in the next fortnight.

HarryPotterandtheSAHM · 28/10/2017 23:03

Anything I’m 5+1 too! Thinking 8 weeks for a scan as then it’s only a month until the dating one. I had a scan at 6 weeks last time and seeing a heartbeat was amazing but I’d like to wait a bit longer this time
