I thought I’d start this thread now as I can’t see one yet! I got my bfp this weekend on a digital and estimate my due date to be 1st of July, but I have long cycles so I’m anticipating it changing at a dating scan. Anyone else with me for end of June or beginning of July 2018?

Hello everyone! I've not read back yet, but wanted to join.

We found out yesterday, after 4 months of trying properly (around 7 months since my implant was removed) for our first. So exciting and nervewracking! I've calculated my EDD as 26 July.

This week just gone has been dreadful - I've been utterly exhausted at work. I regularly work from around 8am until 8 or 9pm, but have been having to leave by 5:30. We went out to do a spot of Christmas shopping yesterday, and I crashed on the sofa as soon as we got home.

Also have sore breasts, and have had period type cramping for around a week and a half. Also feeling nauseous and have heartburn, but I think that's related to my gastro-oesophageal reflux disorder rather than pregnancy. Not looking forward to seeing how that manifests itself over the next few months...!

mumof1000s · 19/11/2017 08:10

Can I join please? Just had my first scan I am 6 weeks 4 days

Sunshine1984 · 19/11/2017 08:32

Welcome @karategirl & @mumof1000s - congratulations 😁

@karategirl I have practically the same symptoms (although no heartburn/nausea unless really hungry at random times!) We have the same DD too!

mumof1000s · 19/11/2017 08:38

My symptoms seem to have really kicked in, my boobs are rock hard and painful, I'm being sick all the time and just want to sleep

Sunshine1984 · 19/11/2017 08:44

Hope you feel better quickly @mumof1000s

mumof1000s · 19/11/2017 08:46

Thank you but if previous pregnancies are to go by I was still having morning sickness in labour

Just hoping this one sticks as we have had a lot of problems. Will all be worth it x

Sunshine1984 · 19/11/2017 09:07

Oh no - that’s awful! Sorry to hear about the problems you’ve had. Fingers crossed that they stick for us all 🙏🏼 Will definitely be worth it in the end 😊

EmEarley · 19/11/2017 09:43

@Unicornberry I have no idea how to DM you to join the Facebook group! But would love to join xx

FilamentBabe · 19/11/2017 09:52

@Unicornberry I believe I have dm you about the Facebook group...but I don't think I put a capital at the start...not sure if that matters so if you got my dm or not lol

mumof1000s · 19/11/2017 09:52

How do we join the Fb group?

Unicornberry · 19/11/2017 10:25

@filament I just replied to your PM

@mumof1000s & @EmEarley if you go on the desktop version instead of the app you can pm me, send a link to your Facebook profile 😊

karategirl · 19/11/2017 11:24

Well, despite the heartburn my appetite seems to have exploded. Not only did I wake up feeling hungry this morning (which never ever happens!) but I've also eaten a bowl of pasta and cheese sauce just after 11:00...

Heregoeseverything · 19/11/2017 15:20

Anyone else getting horrific hormonal acne?

Re the excuses about not drinking, there's driving or important presentation the next day if a weekday. When this wouldn't be credible I've had my DH ordering me "gin and tonics" all night (7ups with a slice of lemon or lime) but you also need to be able to act tipsy for this to work...!

PenneyForThem · 19/11/2017 18:15

Evening Ladies
Can I join please?
I'm 26 and this is baby #1
Got my BFP on 15th November and think I'm about 5 weeks as my last period started on the 13th Oct but the cycle before that was cd52 so i'm not really sure if that's correct. I've had painfully sore boobs forever for about 2.5 weeks to the point where even bending over is not enjoyable! Been slightly sicky, very gassy, super tired and a bit crampy. but other than that over the moon but trying not to get too excited as it's still early days! My DH is being the sensible one and keeping me grounded so I don't get too carried away too soon.
Congratulations on all your BFP and scans ladies. Was lovely reading through the thread to hear all your updates. x

Farrar · 19/11/2017 18:22

Hello all Smile

I’ll be 6 weeks tomorrow, due 16th July - which happens to be the day after my 30th birthday! So that could be an interesting way to spend it!

First pregnancy for me and we’re still in shock, but happy. Looking forward to it being nearer to Christmas when we should be having our first scan and then we can tell people other than parents.

Looking forward to seeing everyone’s journeys.

Tamara

EmEarley · 19/11/2017 18:52

@Farrar I’m due the same day! Congratulations xx

LittleBirdBlues · 19/11/2017 19:46

Hi all and welcome to all if I recently joined!

I need done advice please regarding the 12 week scan. I'll be 12 weeks on 8th January but have booked a trip abroad from 22nd December to 18th January. Will it be OK to have the scan after i return? I could do it when I'm 13+5 but not sure if that's not too late?

Any ideas?

Never mind the fact that this would mean an endless wait... Sad

LittleBirdBlues · 19/11/2017 19:47

Argh excuse the typos im typing on my phone with one finger in the dark whilst putting DC to sleep...

eltweeno · 19/11/2017 20:00

Hello!

Mind if I join you all at this late stage?!

Got our BFP today, after over 2 years of on-off trying. I only did the test on a whim, genuinely didn't think it'd be our month, but there you go!

Due Date is 27 July (though I was 2 weeks late, so we think possible an August baby in reality!)

Long way to go yet, it'll be our first so we have no way to know what to expect. But it's so exciting to finally get a positive after multiple 'chemical pregnancies' and a horrid couple of years for us both health-wise.

I think the biggest challenge for me will be keeping it a secret for so long... Grin

BlueeSpottyTiger · 19/11/2017 20:45

Hey welcome new ladies.. Congrats 🖑💖
here yes i have some spots :( i never get them usally but have some really sore ones on my chin and below my nose. I hope this symptom passes soon it's horrible i feel like a teenager 😂
littleblue if your not having the tests for downs ect then it can be anytime around there but if your having the combined (blood test and scan) then my mw (only back in Aug) said it needs to be done by 13+5 or 13+6 it was definatley one or the other. NHS online seems to suggest otherwise but I'd rather believe my mw lol. I was on holiday for 2weeks when i was 12 weeks and past the cut off point so had to have mine at 11+4. Your away for such a long time, Lucky you :) are you visiting family?

To hide not drinking recently i just ordered mocktails and no one caught on :)

P.s this goes for all my posts ever...sorry for any spelling mistakes or punctuation errors. I never re-read 🙈

Farrar · 19/11/2017 20:46

@EmEarley yay! I’ll be keeping a close eye on your posts then Wink
Do you have any symptoms yet? I’ve got period style cramping every late afternoon into early evening and sore boobs but that’s it really.

EmEarley · 19/11/2017 21:05

@Farrar I’ve had symptoms even before I found out, tiredness and bloating to start, then add on nausea and sore boobs, just behind the nipples, and today I just feel like I could eat and eat and never get full, so strange!!

This is my first baby too (following an ectopic in September) I’ve had no symptoms, had a few aches and twinges but nothing I’m concerned about xx

LittleBirdBlues · 19/11/2017 21:44

bluee it's a family birthday in mid June so we'll be staying on after visiting for Christmas. It's a European country so I might be able to harvest a scan done there....? Who do I even ask?!

I will be 13.5 or 13.6, so if I have the test straight away I might still be ok?
