I thought I’d start this thread now as I can’t see one yet! I got my bfp this weekend on a digital and estimate my due date to be 1st of July, but I have long cycles so I’m anticipating it changing at a dating scan. Anyone else with me for end of June or beginning of July 2018?

I am 4 weeks today and finally feeling better (thank you cyclizine).

Still not managing to eat much.

Hoping it’s not going to get worse.

I also had to tell a close friend of mine who is struggling to conceive - we were barren buddies. I feel awful. I know she’ll be feeling so sad now.

Sunshine1984 · 17/11/2017 16:04

Hi,
Congratulations everyone! Can I join please?
Just got my BFP today (4+1) Baby #1 Age 33 Due 26/7/18
Shell shocked, over the moon & nervous.
Best of luck to you all

tra7918 · 17/11/2017 17:48

Lemonade with ginger sounds yum! Ginger is definitely helpful!
I remember struggling to clean my teeth with my last son!
Have had a lot of cramps today so worrying! Is anyone else getting cramps?
Congrats on the new bfp’s! Very exciting!
I have my partner stocking up on pregnancy tests as I’m being neurotic now after the pains! Praying everything ok inside!

ALRM · 17/11/2017 19:43

Hello,

Can I join you guys? I am 4w3d today with a due date of the 24th July. I am very nervous and trying not to get excited as I had a mix at 9 weeks earlier this year. I am also having some cramping and spotting which I know is normal but is putting me on edge. Have self referred and am hoping that they may do an early scan because of the mmc. Otherwise waiting till 12 weeks seems ages!

KateB2016 · 17/11/2017 20:11

@Igh05 i throw up every single morning when I brush my teeth, almost makes it a pointless task! I've started just using mouth wash in the evening I can't cope with the sick 🤒.

I've also gone off tea when I used to drink about 4 cups a day, I no longer like chocolate, red meat makes me nauseous just to think about it, and all I seem to want to eat are carbs carbs and more carbs!

Bluebirdsky · 17/11/2017 20:24

Watching Children in need whilst pregnant and hormonal was a bad idea, and every time I cry it makes me wretch!

katiepage1993 · 17/11/2017 20:42

Hi - hoping okay to join in!

I’m 6 weeks with my first, predicted due date is 11th July 2018. Last week I had quite a lot of cramping in my stomach. Went to see my GP who didn’t think it was anything particularly worrying but has requested that I have blood taken to rule out ectopic which is worrying but keeping my fingers crossed that all will turn out fine 🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻

Catnoise · 17/11/2017 21:26

Hi ALRM not sure if it will reassure you but I'm due the same day as you and cramping lots too. I'm getting a lot of pain under my rib cage. I didn't have any of that with DS1. In fact the week I tested I was just hugely knackered. I had been on holiday to somewhere with a 4.5 hour time difference and couldn't understand how I was still jet lagged five days on! 😂

Lilychouchou · 17/11/2017 21:44

Welcome to all the newbies Flowers

I know you ladies will probably think I'm mad but reading all your posts I feel so worried that I'm not having any nausea Sad occasionally I feel mildly sick but it's barely noticeable. Feel absolutely fine today. So worried about MMC - feel like the odd one out with no sickness!

tra7918 · 17/11/2017 21:53

My SIL has just had a baby and didn’t even have any tiredness - nothing! Hopefully you’re just lucky!
With my mmc I had pregnancy symptoms but then they started going rather than never being there so try not to worry!

ALRM · 17/11/2017 22:04

Thanks catnoise it does help 😁

FilamentBabe · 18/11/2017 07:35

So I'm visiting my nan this weekend. Ideally I want to keep this quiet for now to do a bit of a announcement at Christmas as I'm only 4+1 weeks. But I've always confided in my nan over the years so I know as soon as I see her face I'm going to be desperately fighting the urge to spill all. Anyone else struggling to keep it from certain people?

ALRM · 18/11/2017 08:19

Yes filamentbabe as I told people about my MC I am finding it hard not to tell people. But I am determined to hold out as I am less than 5 weeks. I am thinking if I make it to 8 weeks then I may tell close family but tbh I'll probably just end up doing ehat feels right in the moment. My rule of thumb was "would I tell then if I miscarry" if it was yes then I didn't see the point in holding off in telling them as they could be my support. So what feels righr for you x

lgh05 · 18/11/2017 08:35

Yeah I agree! Just do what feels right. Xx

Woke up this morning feeling less nauseous, boobs are still sore etc. I turned to google- worst decision ever. As all that was coming up was missed miscarriage!

tra7918 · 18/11/2017 09:00

I’m bursting to tell people too but worried after the miscarriages but I agree if you’d tell them about a miscarriage then don’t hold off if it’s right for you. I nearly got caught out yesterday after telling my local coffee shop to give me decaf coffees if anyone ordered me one and they said it to my friends. Friends either didn’t pick up on it or kept quiet!
I keep getting told off by my partner for googling stuff and worrying. It’s full of bad stuff so going to try to stay away but too tempting! I’m sure the nausea will be back tomorrow! It can vary from day to day so try not to worry!

Sunshine1984 · 18/11/2017 11:35

I have now had a chance to read the entire thread! Hope you’re all doing ok?

I think I’m going to book an early scan too - i know it won’t change anything but would be great to know everything’s ok in a few weeks :)

Does anybody have any tips on believable excuses for not drinking? I’m known as the ‘party’ one (being the only person without children in practically my entire friendship group!) I can drive to most places which gives me a reason but I have a couple of Christmas parties & a Christmas market trip planned!

I’m 4+2 so very early days. Boobs not so sore anymore. Just slightly sensitive to touch. Mild cramps on and off daily. Tiredness. And an ‘empty’ kind of hunger. Other than that, feeling pretty good. Relieved to hear a lot of us have the cramps and it’s normal!

@Unicornberry - I have sent an inbox to join the Facebook group please 😊

NimbleKnitter · 18/11/2017 12:27

Meerep! Symptoms eased today so I was worried, but cb digi has moved to 2-3.

Still trying not to get too excited..

LittleBirdBlues · 18/11/2017 13:19

Oh I also can't wait to tell one particular friend who is 8 weeks pregnant with a long awaited IUI baby. She'll be thrilled!

However DH has asked that we keep it between us for a couple of weeks until we have digested the news properly ourselves. So Im going to keep quiet for now. It's hard!

I also have a work Christmas party coming up just before Christmas. I want to wait until January to tell work. What do I do?? This is usually a heavy drinking event and I'll be feeling super nauseous by that point!

tra7918 · 18/11/2017 14:02

It’s hard being in the early stages at this time of year. This is my third time. I don’t know how I managed to get away with it last time but I remember roasting in the office as I wouldn’t take my poncho off as my trousers were so tight!
Won’t get away with it this time. My friends will notice on our night out so I might confide in one friend to be my helper!
Just been shopping for comfy, baggy jumpers to wear with leggings as I feel so bloated and my jeans do not feel good!

Alizeh · 18/11/2017 16:11

Can I join ? I am 4 weeks and due in July . This is my second pregnancy .

Gesuz · 18/11/2017 18:19

Hi, I’d like to join too! Due on 2nd July with my third baby, so about 7+5

Lily, just to reassure you, I have didn’t have any nausea with my first two either. Third time around it’s the same, and I am getting used to feeling less worried about the lack of symptoms, but it kinda makes it hard to believe it’s happening till that first scan when you can see baby! Just try to relax and enjoy being one of the lucky few.

For those who are suffering with sickness - I do really feel for you and you have my admiration!

ALRM · 18/11/2017 18:51
