I thought I’d start this thread now as I can’t see one yet! I got my bfp this weekend on a digital and estimate my due date to be 1st of July, but I have long cycles so I’m anticipating it changing at a dating scan. Anyone else with me for end of June or beginning of July 2018?

@boboelephant I've just booked a scan for 8 weeks with Ultrasound Direct (City branch) but they have loads of branches around London. Never used them before but they've got decent reviews and are open during the week until 8pm and are open on weekends as well. I've paid a £30 deposit and need to pay an additional £59 on the day. Hope this helps!

Boboelephant · 13/11/2017 13:51

Thanks @DoubleEspresso22!!

Lilychouchou · 13/11/2017 14:51

Thanks for all the congrats ladies! Welcome to all the new BFPs! Flowers

I've had loads of yellowish beige dischage over the past week. Anyone else?

lgh they dated me at six weeks on Saturday - think I'm actually a little bit further on than that but I know it's not an exact science when everything is so teeny. Hope yours goes really well Smile

Bobo like DoubleEspresso I've had my scans with another London branch of Ultrasound Direct, would definitely recommend!

BlueeSpottyTiger · 13/11/2017 15:01

I'm going to book an early scan for 10weeks i think as in my last pregnancy the baby died at 9+5 and that will be the furthest I've got apart from dd. All the scans at my local Nhs approved centre are £50 unless you want 3D/4D later. I want it for 10 weeks so i can tell my close family on Christmas day :) x

Boboelephant · 13/11/2017 15:15

Great thanks @Lily! I'll book in with them. I can get a 9 week scan on a Sunday which will be awesome 😀

SqueakyBeans88 · 13/11/2017 15:39

I’m just waiting for midwife to call me back.... I’m 4w4d... it’s not too early to ring a midwife is it? I think I’m still struggling to accept it’s real and I’m already having people guess because of turning down alcoholic drinks - had to make choices for Xmas work party today and from my sober choices there have been questions already 🙈

DoubleEspresso22 · 13/11/2017 15:48

@Lilychouchou Good to know, thanks! Looking forward to it now. Also I saw you had a scan at 5 weeks - I'm guessing it was vaginal?

rhubarb86 · 13/11/2017 18:41

Hi everyone.

Squeakybeans, I had my app with my midwife on Saturday and I was 7 weeks exactly. It was really exciting :) she was great and very thorough which was reassuring.

Symptom wise I've had terrible all day nausea since this weekend. I only seem to fancy Carby savoury foods and today I ate my sarnie at 1030 so had to buy a second lunch to ease the nausea at 1pm doh. Feeling pretty rough to be honest, particularly as having to work whilst feeling sick. Hope everyone is ok.

OHMoll · 13/11/2017 18:55

Been off work from last Thursday with a chest infection. Have Dr appt tomorrow but don't really want an antibiotic as I am just over 7 weeks. This was supposed to be my first visit to Dr for to check how things are. Am frustrated with things at the moment. Still having terrible nausea all the time. I have no appetite. Sorry for the moan but feeling completely down today. Sad

BatKat · 13/11/2017 19:25

I’m also struggling with nausea...pretty worried as i’m not quite 6 weeks yet and so i’m expecting it to get worse before it gets better. Very exhausting having to pretend that I feel completely normal at work!

lgh05 · 13/11/2017 19:28

Feeling for all the girls who have nausea, I can’t possibly imagine how horrid HG is as I am not coping well with basic nausea! When I am hungry I crazy carbs- I can’t go near protein or veg (which pre-pregnancy was all I ate).

After reading tons of stuff online it was advised to try sparking water with ice and lemon- I have constantly been sipping on pints and pints of the stuff and it helps keep the sickly feeling at bay!

Charlotte1106 · 13/11/2017 19:30

Hi everyone. I'd be keen to join this group as I'm due on 3 July. I'm a bit behind but hopefully it's not too late. Congrats to you all!

Charlotte1106 · 13/11/2017 19:40

Also I'm experiencing horrible nausea atm... it sucks! It's also rubbish being at work when feeling so crap. I really hope it gets better!

rhubarb86 · 13/11/2017 20:51

Hi charlotte. Congratulations :) glad it's not just me feeling sicky.. mine has been on and off all day. Just want carbs too.. totally off sweet things.

Charlotte1106 · 13/11/2017 21:40

The nausea is making me not particularly hungry at all... or there's very few things I want to eat. I ended up telling a few key people at work early as I was very unwell the last couple of weeks (with bad cramps) and had to take time off... I found it has eased the pressure at work as the people were good and understanding. I also flex my work in the mornings or work from home if I feel particularly bad.

walda · 14/11/2017 08:01

Hello! I worked out I’m due July going to the doctors at 8 weeks, I’m assuming reading the previous post I won’t get a 12 week scan because of Christmas? Anyways wanted to ask anyone experience nightmare? I have had 3 in a row where I end up screaming waking myself up heart beating very fast it’s scary!! two of them where things out if scary films trying to kill me and the other boyfriend cheats on me!! Maybe nothing to do with pregnancy but i have never had them before . First baby. Xx

lgh05 · 14/11/2017 08:09

@walda it’s 100% pregnancy related I had night terrors when I had my daughter and then this time now before AF arrived I had them again (never normally even remember what I dream about let alone have nightmares) and that’s how I knew I was pregnant. For me I get them at the start of pregnancy, and then towards the end. It’s to do with the hormones apparently!

Congrats on your BFP

EmEarley · 14/11/2017 08:27

Oh My God, the nausea!! Hit 5 weeks yesterday and was sick at work! It’s horrific!

I’m on ginger tea, ginger biscuits, my pregnancy vitamins have ginger and B6 in them, also trying peppermint, I feel for anyone whose going through this or worse! But we can take it as a good sign though ladies, that’s those hormones are doing what they are supposed to do!!

Also got an early scan, due to a holiday next week I’m being scanned at 6+1, has anyone else had a scan this early! Was it successful, did you see anything?

NimbleKnitter · 14/11/2017 08:53

I’m only 3 weeks (not even late yet) and have been up since 3am vomiting.

This can’t be normal...

Bluebirdsky · 14/11/2017 09:13

@NimbleKnitter it does seem a little early could you be unwell or have a urine infection?

Having said that I have heard of people getting symptoms super early

Charlotte1106 · 14/11/2017 09:22

I'm at the hospital atm for a 7 week scan... I don't think that's normal but more because I was so unwell at 5 weeks but it was too early to scan. I'll let you know if I can see anything this early.

I was sick this morning :( but hoping that will make the nausea throughout the day better!

NimbleKnitter · 14/11/2017 09:37

Yeah. I think maybe I’ve caught a bug.

But pre-pregnancy I was extremely sensitive to progesterone - I’d be sick when I ovulated and get migraines pre-period.

It had crossed my mind that the progesterone levels are making me feel horrendous

southpacificgoat · 14/11/2017 10:42

Hi all,
can I join please?
I got my BFP (well barely visible faint line really) at the weekend.

I am 4 +5 today, so apparently due mid July and this is #2.
I had a MMC before DC1 and a MC at 8 weeks in September, so am fretting a bit. Fingers crossed for us all!

Bluebirdsky · 14/11/2017 11:00

Good luck @Charlotte1106 let us know how you get on, I have a scan today too I am 6+5 weeks

lgh05 · 14/11/2017 11:12

Let’s us know how your scans have gone!!! I am having mine on Thursday 6 +6 so hoping I get to see that little heart beat! Good luck to those having scans soon, and congratulation to the BFP. Xx
