Another one here who would love twins! I don't think that is what I have though... 9 weeks today and no sign of any bump just bloat and my symptoms while feel quite bad to me don't seem half as bad as others have described!

I'm getting really tempted by the Facebook group but still think I'd rather wait a while! At least until first scan :)

scoutcat · 28/10/2017 13:23

Hi everyone. Thought I’d best start posting on this thread as well as the May one because my due date is now apparently the 28th May according to the midwife at my booking appointment.

Not sure why her estimation would be different to the NHS calculator but oh well!

Hi everyone!

CoffeeChocolateWine my pilates instructor isn't a specialist in prenatal/antenatal (what the heck is the difference???) either but has had kids of her own. I started going about 3-4years ago when my back problems began too. She told me that due to the pregnancy hormone relaxin I should be careful not to overstretch too much (but I do sometimes think I'm guilty of overthinking these things and need to just chill! Forgive me if I'm stressing you out!).
I'm sure if you listen to your body when you're doing the YouTube vids (I've been doing these too, especially m.youtube.com/watch?v=kgKjpYFHDgM) it'll help keep you on track.

Anyone else found any good first trimester YouTube exercise videos to recommend?

CoffeeChocolateWine · 28/10/2017 15:26

Thanks so much Sylvester. Will give this a go!

Sictransitgloria · 28/10/2017 15:28

Think I'm suffering with hormone headaches. They are like tension headaches. No sickness yet though!

Bunnyears85 · 28/10/2017 16:10

I’m bleeding again. Called 111 and waiting for a call back. Tempted just to go straight to A&E though.

Any callback yet, Bunnyears?

Bunnyears85 · 28/10/2017 17:31

Spoke to out of hours GP. They said at this point there’s nothing they could do anyway and to call my GP on Monday to get a scan. Not helpful! Just ringing around private scanners now x

Hi, just marking my place as I keep losing you all!

Mummyloves09 · 28/10/2017 20:44

Good evening ladies,

How are you all doing today?

I'm just in the process of catching up with the chat so please excuse the late comments.

@ UnicornDust17 wishing you all the best at this tough time. I think you so cling on especially with the midwifes' comment.

@ SulkyPuddleDuck so sorry to hear this, I hope you are being looked after and supported through this hard time.

@ Bunnyears85 is it heavy bleeding or spotting?
I hope all works out, keeping everything crossed.

Cookie1831 · 28/10/2017 22:34

Hi mummy not much happening here but of Saturday telly and eating crap and now feel very sick (looking back super noodles, crisps and ice cream possibly not the best choices) off to bed to make it go away!!!x

HolyShmoly · 28/10/2017 22:53

Hello all, I've been a bit quiet over here for a while. I had a private early scan this morning. I had thought I was 7+4 and measured at 7+5, there was a lovely strong heartbeat and everything seemed good. It's such a massive relief. And there's definitely just the one in there which was as expected!
I'll be telling my Mum on Monday and trying desperately not to blab to anyone else until after the 12 week scan. One of my sisters is coming to visit next week yet and it'll be a miracle if she doesn't guess or I don't tell her.

HolyShmoly · 28/10/2017 23:01

RE Pilates: my instructor seemed to think first trimester was fine, I'll have to make modifications and skip moves when I'm bigger. I've done easier modifications on quite a few moves though as I'm super lazy atm.

UnicornDust17 · 28/10/2017 23:12

Thanks @Emz01 @Elpheba and @Mummyloves09 (and anyone else I missed). Wednesday morning can't come quick enough.

How are you doing @Bunnyears85..?

@HolyShmoly I told my sister at 8 weeks with DS1 Smile

Mintykins4 · 28/10/2017 23:16

Jumping on board! I think I’m 7+3 with DC2, I had what I thought was a period a few weeks ago (5 days, normal pattern...) but I’ve been feeling rotten. I’ve also put on half a stone in the last month which happened last time so I took a test (then two more) yesterday. It said I’m at least 5 weeks so I’ve worked the dates back. Total shock, DC1 has his first birthday in two weeks and I’ve only been back at work three months. Same symptoms as last time, my clothes are all tight already and I’m sick if I don’t constantly eat. Going for an early scan next Saturday, fingers crossed all is OK after the bleed.

AnythingNotEverything · 28/10/2017 23:22

Yes Pilates - I checked pre TTC and was told that “my friend” was fine to continue until about 15 weeks when we’d need to start making modifications.

AnythingNotEverything · 28/10/2017 23:22

Congrats and welcome Minty.

Emz01 · 28/10/2017 23:23

Welcome @Mintykins4!

Scan tomorrow morning for me and so nervous, normally asleep by now but feeling too anxious. Should be 8 weeks on the dot, booked it nearly 2 weeks ago and it’s come around so fast!

Bunnyears85 · 29/10/2017 07:03

Good luck with your scan this mornin my @Emz

No more bleeding here. Been googling constantly and I think I may have a friable cervix. The bleeding occurred whilst I was on the loo (sorry if tmi) but I’ve been constipated and was straining. The bleeding stopped shortly after. It was definitely from my vagina. I couldn’t get a private scan today so will have to stick to Tuesday night. It’s going to be a looong wait. Anyone here experience md a friable cervix before? NB: Am self diagnosing so probably wrong.

bunny glad it stopped, I had a very sensitive cervix with Ectropion before and used to get a little blood on straining when in early pregnancy with my second and all was fine xx

Cookie1831 · 29/10/2017 07:45

Good luck to all the scans today and in the next few days mine is a whole another week away!
