i know it doesn't quite rhyme but it does nearly, and it's completely inoffensive to everyone but Eddas

Common after your 1st. 1st babies tend to engage and then stay there - 2nd, 3rd, 4th etc babies tend to do a lot more "floating" ....

CaptainDippy · 10/04/2007 10:57

Hey - where'd everyone go ?????

Katy44 · 10/04/2007 11:01

I'm still here but typing with one hand - holding feet with the other

CaptainDippy · 10/04/2007 11:02

LOL!

nuttygirl · 10/04/2007 11:03

Morning all, wow so much news since I posted yesterday. I just can't keep up with it all. Had a slightly better night's sleep here but am so fed up...just want this baby out, I'm so uncomfortable.

Am with you on the fed up of people phoning...the phone rang last night and I answered "hello" to receive the response "Oh Noooo", I was like "what?" and my aunty replied "you're still here"...she'd 'had a feeling' I'd gone in ...she also had a feeling I'd be v early....

CaptainDippy · 10/04/2007 11:08

I have to admit, I am not getting any of those "have you had it yet" sort of comments; but then I guess I ma still 2 and a bit weeks away from my due date - I just thought that as DD2 was 4 weeks early, I might be getting badgered a bit more ..... Not that I am complaining .....

Katy44 · 10/04/2007 11:14

The only one badgering me is my mum!

CaptainDippy · 10/04/2007 11:16

Is your mum a badger?

CaptainDippy · 10/04/2007 11:21

Sorry - feeling rather random today!

Katy44 · 10/04/2007 11:24

No, but that would explain the badgering

Katy44 · 10/04/2007 11:25

Right, going to do non-virtual stuff for a few minutes

Emmymummy · 10/04/2007 11:27

Ha ha! Is your mum a badger! Actually mine's a bit of a badger too - said to me yesterday 'you will tell me when something happens, won't you?'. Err no, I won't mum. I might remember to call you a couple of weeks after I've had the baby if I can be bothered.....!

BORED today as haven't got the energy to do anything. DH even offered me a shopping trip this afternoon and I turned that down, so must be bad . Feel very sick and have been to the loo loads. Don't think anything's happening though. The only thing that's even me excited at the moment is ice cubes.

nuttygirl · 10/04/2007 11:29

Lol @ badger!!!

My mum rings EVERY day and asks me the same questions - have you not had it yet, have you had any twinges, have you not had a show at all, etc. Keep getting tempted to say "Well actually, we had the baby a month ago. It's very well behaved, she knows not to cry when anyone rings..."

CaptainDippy · 10/04/2007 11:30

Phew - glad someone gets my random sense of humour .... was beginning to think I had scared you all off!

I'll go on the shopping trip with your DH if you don't want to EM -

Need to go and get a drink - parched ....

Birdiebump · 10/04/2007 11:31

We were at a friend's who has an adorable 4-month old DD and thought we might send a photo to PILs of DH with her on his lap saying I'd popped a few days ago! She's still only about 13lb - I could probably manage one of those....

CaptainDippy · 10/04/2007 11:31

Grrrrr- Any Twinges* - I hate that one!

I'll "twinge" you if you ask me again .....

nuttygirl · 10/04/2007 11:31

EM - sounds just like my mum, I get asked that everyday. My mum wants me to ring her to let her know I'm going in to the hospital and then ring again when I've had the baby...FFS it's just gonna make her sit there worrying for hours!!! (unless I have a quickie like waspelly!)

CaptainDippy · 10/04/2007 11:32

LOL - Birdie - that is mean!

I like it!

How are you doing?

nuttygirl · 10/04/2007 11:36

Birdie - that's a great idea...but I'd need a boy baby cos mum keeps worrying the sonographer might have been wrong when we were told it was a girl!!!!

Argh...trying to do some techie stuff on computer but the password has stopped working and now DH is fiddling with it all and rambling at me in incoherant techie speak...

Katy44 · 10/04/2007 11:39

Yes, nutty, my mum wanted me to let her know as soon as I had twinges (what is it with that word?!) then when going into hospital, then when I've had the baby (obviously).
I managed to talk her out of the first one, I'm now worried that if DH rings to say we're going to / in hospital she'll have her coat on and be in the car ready for visiting! She only lives half an hour away and so could be waiting a while!

Katy44 · 10/04/2007 11:40

Please can "Any Twinges? I'll "twinge" you if you ask me again" be our next thread title?? Please!

CaptainDippy · 10/04/2007 11:41

Oooh, Katy - My hubby speaks that language too!

I am officially a "yogurt-a-olic"!

CaptainDippy · 10/04/2007 11:42

Whoops - - sorry - nutty!

CaptainDippy · 10/04/2007 11:44

Oi - Birdie - Get back here and give us the latest!!

Any "twinges"!!?

CaptainDippy · 10/04/2007 11:45

I'll ask "The PA" katy!!
