Well the trouble with other rooms is that most of them have artex ceilings [puke emoticon] and need replastering. We are getting the kitchen and bathroom done soon, so it is all go in our house!!

Seansgirl · 09/04/2007 21:55

Oh no! I'm feeling a shop coming on here, I really love their baby stuff. Thinking about it they have some nice Kangaroo trainers I want for DD!!! Whahey! Might go and get my catalogue out and mark a few pages.

Seansgirl · 09/04/2007 21:55

Yep, definately the nesting Holly

bumperlicious · 09/04/2007 21:56

Was just about to explain but then realised that I need to be careful what I say on a forum like this. Wouldn't want to start another legal incident! Nothing really juicy, just at least one of the presenters was pretty rude and that the researchers do all the work not Kirsty and Phil, and they were pretty rubbish at finding them houses, they didn't get one in the end.

hollyandalice · 09/04/2007 21:58

I love those trainers! I was looking at them this morning, but they are too big for my dd. I have more codes that aren't on the hotdeals website so let me know before you order anything and I'll work out what code would be best for you to use. I have a massive list of them including loads with free gifts!

derlor · 09/04/2007 21:59

cool Holly that sleeping bag is especially fab. - i LOVE baby sleeping bags SO practical. Need to invest in a couple of new ones actually.
My DH is desparate to do up our spare room as the new nursery - he wants to have it all done in the next couple of weeks (he about to have 2 weeks off) Can't decide what colours to go for - i'm liking soft creams and then adding appropriate colour in due course - i like this type of look i think - had definate boy and girl room for last 2 but feel like something more neutral this time. what do you think? is it too bland?

I knew before I clicked on the link that it was going to be Millie and Boris!

derlor · 09/04/2007 22:02

oh dear holly, we obviously spend WAY too much time on here chatting if you can now read my mind!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Seansgirl · 09/04/2007 22:05

Holly, you are a shopping angel thank you that would be great! Am going to look now.

Bumper, IKWYM have just been on similar(ish) programme, have to say presenters were nice. But, this rubbish about them finding the properties - its all the researchers and the people that were looking didn't really like any of the houses I think they just find them some houses to make a show. The timescales they have they can't research it properly. They met the couple on the Tuesday, phoned us on the Thursday the TV people looked at our house on Fri and they filmed it Mon/Tue!

Am saying night night as DH has just called me to say he has done me some hot milk!! The freaky muscle women show must have finished.

xxx

derlor · 09/04/2007 22:06

careful SG he's after your body now.....

OP posts:
Seansgirl · 09/04/2007 22:09

I'm with you on the decor thing Derlor I am thinking possibly white and then adding stuff when he/she arrives. If I could find anything neutral that I liked I might go for that.

I think the bears are cute, and there is one in Next similar but I was worried about the same thing - a bit insipid? But cute

Night night (again) xxx

hollyandalice · 09/04/2007 22:10

Night SG, I'm watching your show, finally!! You have a gorgeous house! Sleep well!! x

Seansgirl · 09/04/2007 22:10

X-posted. think the baggy tracky bottoms and stained hoody modelled by his DW that presently resembles a hippo might not be the look he was thinking of

bumperlicious · 09/04/2007 22:11

Aww seansgirl, how sweet of him!

Seansgirl · 09/04/2007 22:11

Holly Thanks.

Am really really going before my milk is cold!!

derlor · 09/04/2007 22:13

hollyandalice · 09/04/2007 22:13

It's made me feel a bit ! I really must sort out my scabby house!

derlor · 09/04/2007 22:14

how cool i'm wearing exactly the same outfit as seansgirl - thank god we are not at the same night out!!

OP posts:
hollyandalice · 09/04/2007 22:18

Stylish! I am dressed along the same lines! Baggy pj bottoms that have lost their elastic and a maternity top that I lent to my friend who burnt it with the iron! I'm so sexy!

bumperlicious · 09/04/2007 22:23

Did I miss the whole thing about SGs programme? When/what was it? How long ago? Must have been being v self involved! That or I just usually miss out on all the convos during the day and don't read them properly!

derlor · 09/04/2007 22:24

sad thing is i've been dressed like this since about 2pm - i am not usually like this i normally put quite a lot of effort into my clothes.

OP posts:
bumperlicious · 09/04/2007 22:25

Btw I am weary v chavvy hot pink trackie bottoms and a Family Guy t shirt that DH bought back from work (he always brings back these ridiculous merchandising tshirts just coz they are free - but finally coming in handy as the only thing I can fit into!) oh and no bra (TMI?)

derlor · 09/04/2007 22:29

bump, currently the only time i can comfortably take my bra off is when i go in the bath or shower!!(TMI??)

bumperlicious · 09/04/2007 22:30

Is it wrong that I am bidding on a black maternity catsuit on ebay?! Don't know why, or if I will even wear it but feel like because I am pg I have licence to wear whatever I like. I even saw a pg women at the d's last week who looked fab in a pair of dungarees. I told everyone to shoot me if they saw me in a pair, but now I'm thinking if I can't do it when pg when can I do it? (Btw this is also how I justify eating icecream for lunch and cake at every available opportunity!)

hollyandalice · 09/04/2007 22:30

If you ask sg about her show she'll email you and tell you about it. Her house was lovely and soooo tidy. I feel really ashamed of mine now!
