hello

OP posts:
Are your children’s vaccines up to date?
doggus · 17/04/2007 21:21

Derlor - LOL - dh bought some marzipan bunnies from Waitrose and I told myself it would count towards five fruit and veg a day (almonds you know).

annobal · 17/04/2007 21:24

Doggus - does that mean the packet of crisps I just ate counts as well? Please say yes...

derlor · 17/04/2007 21:25

yup and eating a whole chocolate orange most certainly counts towards my five fruit and veg a day!!

I was going to email you doggus, but we just got in the car and went. I was looking for any pg women at around the same level of Weebleness as me in case it was you! We just went down to the pier and ate Harry Ramsden chips on the prom! Yum!

The Baby Whisperer does deal with routine feeding, though not to the same extent as SWMNBN. It is more about listening to your baby and finding out why they are crying rather than feeding them every time they cry. That way your baby gets themselves into their own routine..well that's the idea anyway!!

bumperlicious · 17/04/2007 21:27

Lindt bunnies. They are my friends. Why oh why is easter over. Can't imagine that there is any chance there will be any left in Tesco, let alone half price, though I may pay a visit tomorrow to find out.

doggus · 17/04/2007 21:29

Oh, I always count crisps, and anything you eat from dh's plate has zero calories. Chocolate orange certainly qualifies.

And any food you eat on a plane or a train doesn't count either. And anything taken from a bread basket.

annobal · 17/04/2007 21:29

Am taking DSs choc bunny (is there ANY way that could be part of 5 a day?) and going to bed. Football widow again tonight...

bumperlicious · 17/04/2007 21:30

at H&A on the beach. We are about as landlocked as you get. Nearest beach is Weston-super-mare

TALLULAHBELLE · 17/04/2007 21:30

Also anything you eat whilst cooking - because its just tasting rather than eating-has no calories whatsoever.

derlor · 17/04/2007 21:30

OK here is my perfect list of 5 fruit and veg

  1. a chocolate orange (fruit)
  2. a packet of crisps (veg)
  3. strawberry milkshake (fruit)
  4. chips and cheese (veg)
  5. fruit and nut bar (fruit)

pmsl doggus - I guess it also counts for anything you eat between meals?

bumperlicious · 17/04/2007 21:32

Hmmm, annobal - cocoa bean comes from a plant, I'd say it counts! Plus, you need calcium and magnesium! Do it!

annobal · 17/04/2007 21:32

but what about my choc bunny - or could that be protein??

annobal · 17/04/2007 21:32

Thanks Bumper - am off to bed before you change your mind.

Sleep well all!

hollyandalice · 17/04/2007 21:38

I'm so lazy...my dinner is cheese and vegemite on toast!

Chips are veg as well and so is cheese. Cheese comes from milk which comes from grass, therefore is a plant therefore is a vegetable!

doggus · 17/04/2007 21:38

H&A - wasn't berating you...there will be a next time and we can wibble and weeble together. Funnily enough we were right by old Harry's yesterday. Dh wants to take me up in that bloody hot air balloon for his 50th (I am making all sorts of excuses).

Derlor - all those five are perfect. I have even made a case for Cheezy Wotsits before. Heinz Tomato Soup for example is def one serving, possibly two as I think it has a simdgen of herbs in there (dried parsley = one portion)

hollyandalice · 17/04/2007 21:40

doggus! We went to see the hot air balloon, dd thought it was "'mazing!"

hollyandalice · 17/04/2007 21:41

Wotsits def count, made of spuds you know!

TALLULAHBELLE · 17/04/2007 21:42

Mint Aero must count too. Mint is a herb. And Doritos - corn chips. Hey it's gonna be much easier to get my 5 a day now.

doggus · 17/04/2007 21:42

H&A - I am really not a 'heights' person. Even looking at that picture in the papers the other week of the glass skywalk over the Grand Canyon gave me the shivers. You have a brave dd!

doggus · 17/04/2007 21:44

Thank you for backing me up on all this food stuff (dh very but what does he know?). Tallulah, you star, I can now happily include Doritos. Actually if you added a tomato salsa dip with onions and tomatoes you're nearly at five!

hollyandalice · 17/04/2007 21:45

don't read this , unless you want your fireworks pissed all over!!

TALLULAHBELLE · 17/04/2007 21:48

BooHoo. Am off to eat some dried apricots to balance out the choc bunny .

bumperlicious · 17/04/2007 21:49

The front of my pelvis is starting to really hurt when I make certain movements. Just now I got up off the sofa and felt like I was going to split in two! Urgh! Well, I'll just have to stay on the sofa from now on

doggus · 17/04/2007 21:50

They don't know what they are talking about, do they? How can potatoes not count?

Holly - loving 'pissing on your fireworks'.

On the note I am going to watch America's Next Top Model with my fat swollen feet raised (the glamour, the galmour). Sleep well everyone.
